We love Indian food, but don't have a local restaurant, so whenever we're even close to Chapel Hill we try to work dinner at Raaga's into the schedule. Generous portions mean left-overs for lunch, which unbelievably is even more delicious.

It was dead on a sat night, and the server was wearing a tank top. It didn’t come across as sanitary, especially when she has to reach across the table to place food or poor waters. Also, we felt rushed. The server brought us the check with out us asking for it.

Raaga is average place to have some Indian food. Its an expensive place but I dint see the value for money so much. Quantity is less , presentation is poor and taste is quite okay. Service is average and cleanliness is not upto the mark. Some appetizers are good , try the featured dishes more than the traditional ones. Mutton dishes are good. Do not take the wheat paratha , they were not cooked properly. Overall I would give it a 2.5 star out of 5.

The food was awful. The biryani was cooked in foul-smelling oil. The chicken in the biryani was not even marinated and tasted terrible. The dish used food coloring all over. Thankfully, the breads were OK.

We've been to Raaga three times and enjoyed it. Our most recent visit (June 2018) was a disappointment. The curry was blazingly spicy and the food was over-salted. Very tough for anyone on a low-salt diet who has a touch of acid reflux.

The food was great! The service was almost non-existent at first and then our table seemed to be turned over to a young man who was very good. I would have given the overall a higher rating but the air conditioner wasn't working and it was incredibly uncomfortable inside. I assumed our drinks or a dessert would be given for free to say they were sorry but that didn't happen. I would like to go back, but not until the climate is bearable.

Went to Raaga on a Friday night around 6:30. It was quiet at that time but did get louder as the restaurant filled up around 7:30. We both got a vegetarian entrees but just because they sounded so good, we aren't vegetarian. I got stuffed peppers in a moderately spicy red sauce, my husband got the mattar paneer. Everything was very good, spicy but not too spicy, jasmine rice cooked to perfection and more than enough for another meal out of each. We also got Samosas for an appetizer which were very good. I feel that Raaga's food is a cut above other Indian restaurants. You do pay slightly higher prices but the quality is worth it. The service was a little slow at times since we were trying to make a movie, but they were attentive and helpful and kept our water glasses full. It was nice to be able to talk across the table to each other without feeling we had to shout. There were other couples nearby but we didn't have to hear their conversation and we felt we didn't bother them either. I find this is harder and harder to find in restaurants that don't cost upwards of $200 for a dinner for two and appreciated it. Very lovely experience and we will be returning.

Atmosphere was nice. Waitress was over worked with customers arriving at the same time. Our dinner order was mixed up in the kitchen and took longer than it should. The Indian food was flavorful , but nothing exceptional . Overall, average. Would not rush back.

The wait staffer seemed indifferent--he wanted to close out our check before he had even asked about dessert. Seems self-defeating. When I had been there several days before there was Indian music on the sound-system. That was better than what was playing Thursday evening.

I love Raaga. Great food. Only suggestion would be that side dishes should not be as expensive as an entree (anywhere from $18 to $23) So if my husband and i order a curry entree, and want a spinach paneer side, it is also $18. By the time you order an appetizer, wine, and order naan, it turns out to be quite a hefty little bill at the end. Just my suggestion.

The Indian cuisine at Raaga was very good. Shared the Scallop Mint Masala appetizer and the scallops were perfectly cooked and the sauce was exceptional. Also shared the Samosas and they were your standard fare Samosas. For dinner I had the Goan Scallops Balchao and again the scallops were perfectly cooked and the sauce was exceptional. Biggest complaint from my party was that no one was asked about spice level on any of their dishes and the Chicken Tikka Masala came out fairly mild.

There were very few patrons the evening we went for dinner. Another party of 3 persons was seated just 3 feet from us even though there were over a dozen free tables throughout the restaurant where they could have been seated that would have given them and us more space and privacy. Otherwise, it was a very positive experience.

This is my fourth time at Raaga and they never fail to have wonderful food and delightful service. We love the ambiance, inside and outside. The inner "dome" table is really nice for family events and the dome helps those who are hard of hearing be able to participate in the conversation as the acoustics are wonderful. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in the Triangle - and we are foodies.
