Talulah's remains our favorite restaurant for date nights and special occasions. The cheese plates are spectacular and the dishes are creative and delicious. The service and the staff's knowledge of the menu are exceptional. The ambiance is cozy and wonderful.
Nothing special considering of the price and very salty
Very nice ambience. Original. Good service. Excellent food. VERY EXPENSIVE. Sorry , but I could only afford this because my sister and mom were paying!
A little gem near Washington square. Amazing food and excellent service
It was very expensive for 1 blintze
It was a very cold day and we were closer to the door so it was a little chillier. The food was great! I had the chicken and waffles, there were cooked pears on top and it was fantastically done. The best chicken and waffles I have eaten in a while. My friend got the basic eggs and potatoes which were good. We had the trio of pastries and they were okay! I wasn't a big fan of the pumpkin one, but that was seasonal.
We had the french press coffee, which the waitress said was 2 big cups (I think she meant total, not each so it was not enough for me), so I would just go for the regular drip coffee next time. Very cute location.
Great brunch however we had tight seating and noise level not manageable at 11am
I went with my husband and daughter for Sunday brunch. The staff was very friendly and professional. Food was fabulous. We will definitely be repeat customers.
The food here is always amazing. The plates are large and varied and there is something for everyone. The french press coffee is a nice change over normal drip.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had from start to finish. Top notch in every way. Excellent service as well. Can’t wait to return!
We really enjoyed our birthday dinners. Everything was great. My wife had scallops and my beef filet was exceptional. Service was also very attentive. Always a nice dining experience.
Great place! Always surprising flavor combinations. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Not for a quiet conversation but fabulous in every other way. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and service, would recommend the Scallop dish, Pork Belly with Apples or their seasonal Risoto, Pumpkin! Fabulous food and experience!
Fantastic server Amelia- attentive and friendly
The food was great. My companion enjoyed the Burbon Glazed Roasted chicken. She commented that the chicken was very succulent and flavor full. I enjoy the Beef & Broccoli. The beef filet was cooked perfectly. It normally prepaid medium rare but I asked for medium well and it was great.
Great service and spectacular cheese plates. A fantastic dining experience in Washington Square.
Food was amazing. We had the tasting menu. Each item was unique in flavor and the presentation was beautiful. Our server was exceptional but at times it was hard to hear.
A great restaurant with fresh food thoughtfully prepared and wonderfully spiced. Highly recommended
this is a wonderful restaurant. great space with high ceilings. great service. interesting menu with great seasonal choices
Food and service was outstanding. If ever in Philadelphia again, will surely stop by again!!
Was seated so close to other tables that it was uncomfortable hearing personal conversations.
This restaurant was my choice to celebrate my birthday. I’m still tasting the outstanding dinner we thoroughly enjoyed! I can describe each dish as layers of flavor. My daughter lives on the square so we will be visiting more often. Next time it will be brunch. The service was also amazing & the thoughtful chocolate desert that was brought to the table ended the meal with a smile! Thank you Chef for making our dinner so special!

Excellent meal and delicious cocktails. Very nice ambience.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food, great wine list! Always a great meal!
We enjoyed our dinner at Talula's Garden. Very high-energy place, packed with diners having a good time. Service was knowledgeable and attentive, drinks were professionally prepared. Wine selection was extensive. The oyster appetizer was fantastic. I had the smoked porgie special, which some might find off-putting as it was a whole fish served on the bone with head attached. You have to be prepared for the grisly business of tearing into it. The dish was interesting, unusual and pretty good. The fish was perfectly cooked in terms of done-ness, but the smoke flavor was a little strong for me and I found that it overpowered the fish.
We enjoyed a wonderful cheese tray and the cauliflower soup was amazing. Lovely homemade gluten free roll was most appreciated.
This is the third year in a row we have gone for our anniversary. This year I was a bit disappointed with some of the food. My husband's scallops were cooked correctly but were not served hot. My lamb pappardelle was good but not great. The mushroom toast was very good. Nice chocolate dessert of several mini desserts.
Service is very "efficient," in other words they serve the courses with very little wait time between courses. Not a relaxing meal. The servers and other staff are super friendly however.
Will go back at some point but probably not for our special anniversary meal again.
Too much attitude from waitress. Manager a little pushy as well but better. Risotto was terrible over salty and cheesy, like a bad mac and cheese. All the other food was excellent, especially the fried oysters.
Remarkable farm to table restaurant. Our first time to Philly and this place is a gem. Ravioli was fantastically done with an autumn flare! Pork belly was out if this world! Eclectic mix of wonderful fall flavors. Service was extremely attentive but not overly so. Hopefully we will be back next time in town.
Our third time and still so impressed. Food is fresh and delicious and the service excellent.
Love the Washington Square area and the atmosphere inside the restaurant.
Fourth time and as always, fresh, vibrant, original menu!
Always enjoy visiting this restaurant. Menu is creative and seasonal and so each time you come you will find something new to try and enjoy. The service is top notch. The wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu and make great pairing suggestions. The ambiance is warm and friendly. All in all always a wonderful time - great food, great fun.
Went here for an anniversary and it was fantastic! We were a bit overwhelmed by the cheese plate options and the wait staff was extremely helpful. Highlights: the cheese plate, of course; mushroom toast with a delicious creamy sauce and many different kinds of mushrooms; The Cauliflower Pear soup was very savory, tasty, and interesting, but I felt like there was actually too much of it; Pumpkin Risotto was out of this world - savory, cheesy, the vinegar syrup was just the right amount of sweet; Scallops with Cauliflower were great but not the best I've ever had.
Highly recommend, great for dates/special occasions.
Scallops and apple cobbler were outstanding so was the trout Caesar salad
Our second meal at Talula's and it was as delicious and memorable as the first. Creative dishes, expertly prepared, high quality ingredients, friendly and knowledgeable service. Couldn't ask for much more in a restaurant.
This is the third time we've been to Talula's, and the food is always very good, but this time it was fantastic. Everybody loved everything they ordered. The waiter was very attentive, and to our great pleasure, the restaurant was not noisy, although it was quite crowded on a Sunday evening, and we were right next to a large table of about 12. Talula's is becoming our favorite place in Center City.
Amazing food, ambience and service. Great selection of wine and cocktails. Presentation was on point! Going to try their tasting menu the next time. Definitely recommend.
Great server! Delicious food! One of my favorite places when visiting my hometown.
Yummy food! Really enjoyed the spiced apple donuts.
