Maria Caribbean Kitchen
Great little neighbourhood gem. Food is great and service has impressed since opening week. Be good to see the menu change for spring and summer, but that being said the jerk chicken is full of summer flavours.
Good food, good service and good environment. 100% recommended.
Food and service was amazing. A nice introduction to Carribbean food which was fresh, flavourful and great value.
Unique and extremely delicious! Highly recommend anything with the coconut rice.
Attentive staff with great food recommendations
Amazing fresh food
Quick service even on a Saturday night
Great service. Love the cocktails 🍹. Decor Was stunning. Would be lovely if the tables were spaced out a little more. Overall 8/10
Great food, good atmosphere. Would like the lighting to be a little softer (turn down a few of the harsher ceiling lighting). Good restaurant, wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Great menu. The Carribean 'slaw is SO refreshing. Really tasty bowls of jerk chicken and coconut rice. The space is super cute with great lighting, decor and crockery. The vibe is laid back. The staff were all engaged and helpful. I had a lovely rose to drink and my son went mad for the homemade lemonade. Will definitely be going again and bringing friends as I didn't get a chance to sample any of the intriguing rum cocktails!
Awesome food and service. The place looks amazing decorated.
Waitress could not have tried any harder, the food was slow, we actually got our entree twice. Long wait for mains. Food was good when it finally arrived
So pleased to have menu items that are unique, delicious, and varied, at reasonable prices and appropriate serving sizes. Service was great, appreciate that the background music was inobtrusive but caught our interest nevertheless and was not the usual same ole jazz. In our opinions, when we return (which will be soon), we will indulge in more of the entree selections and skip desserts. And maybe include a designated driver so we can go through the drinks menu.
Great little local that had a buzz going on. Food was plentiful and tasty with service on point. The flavours of the Caribbean were the stars.
Delicious food. Service was ok, just took a long time for food and drinks to come out. I think it was due to being so new that they are still getting their heads around timing etc plus we arrived and waited for family to get there and by then quite a lot of tables filled up. Prices were a little high but for the portion you get, and the quality, it’s well worth it. Overall definitely will be coming back.
I'm recommending Maria Caribbean Kitchen to anyone who will listen. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is vibrant and I can't believe how many vegetarian options there are. Highly recommend the KFC (Krispy Fried Cauliflower), the coconut rice and my partner loves the jerk chicken. We've been twice already, and plan to keep coming back until we've tried everything on the menu because everything so far has been a delight.
A tasty, though expensive lunch overall, for four adults including beers ($188)...We shared a delicious Corncob grilled and served Mexican style with chipotle mayo, spices and cheese and a dry Crispy pork belly served with salsa, sour cream, pickled onions, coriander and lime for entrée. For main we shared Jamaican inspired boneless char-grilled Jerk chicken with a tasty toasted coconut rice, Caribbean slaw, jerk gravy and grilled corn; plus a Jerk seasoned Krispy Fried Cauliflower in which the batter was a bit soggy on the bottom as the cauliflower appeared to have been sitting in some sauce of some type for awhile, veggie jerk gravy, fried onion and garlic rice, and finally a Crispy fried Australian wild-caught Barramundi chunks covered in Hogao (Colombian creole sauce), toasted coconut rice, yummy crunchy plantain chips and avocado salad; washed down with bottled Red Stripe beer. Perhaps I was expecting too much as we worked/lived in Jamaica for a number of years and are aware just how awesomely scrumptious the traditional machette cut jerk chicken is. Liked the bright ambience and vibe of the place and the pleasant staff.
Food was delicious, portion size was large and still great quality. Restaurant felt clean and vibrant with nice artwork.
Amazing!! Delicious menu, friendly service and fun experience 😍
I would recommend them to anyone! I already sent out a group email to my company to share my experience. :)
Fantastic decor. Wonderful staff. Delicious, generously portioned food. Fun cocktails. Decadent desserts. Convenient location. Good value for money.
Absolutely the greatest new venue in the Brisbane west right now. Vibrant atmosphere you'd find in an inner city vemue, and an outstanding step up from the poor choice of South American food available elsewhere.
Energetic staff who know their stuff and attention to little details that make it all come together.
Definitely coming back.
Amazing vibe. Amazing staff
I’ll be back soon
