Food excellent, service very good; inside extremely noisy but we were seated on the patio so only immersed in ambulance and unmuffled motorcycle noise. It was a very nice experience on a reasonably bright if not warm evening. The innovative pasta was lovely in taste and beautifully plated. The server very accommodating.

You can’t beat the authenticity or flavours. Always warm and welcoming. Top quality produce sometimes costs a little more. We’re big fans of the Verdura Cotto pizza, and the Golden beet salad with goat cheese. We rarely have room for dessert, but their tiramisu is light and delicious. Patio in the warmer months and a glass of rosé. They also have some early happy hour specials. Their monthly newsletter features specials of the month including some interesting wines.

The food should be better based on their prices. The bistro is cute but service usually kind of detached and distant at Novo. Salads had too much arugula and not the right balance of blue cheese, pear and candied nuts so felt like just a big plate of arugula. They don’t offer alternative milk of any kind so we couldn’t have a cappuccino and had to drink black coffee which is awful. For a bistro with their location and prices - $27 for a pizza, they should be doing much better than this. We like the place because it is local but we have tried a few times and it isn’t working. We will skip it now.

While the service was good, the pizza we ordered was a disappointment. While the crust around the edge of the pizza was done the bottom crust was limp and undercooked. So we basically just scooped the top part of the pizza off and paired it with crust. The pasta and sausage dish and the braised brussel sprouts we ordered was tasty. Unfortunately they did not have our first wine selection that was on the limited wine list, however the server suggested an alternative option which was good. Overall considering the disappointment with the pizza would probably not return.

This is a great place for Italian food before or after the movie. Or just to meet with friends. Sadly, the decor lacks warmth or character. No tablecloths, art, or anything else to make it distinctive. The food is good, though a bit overpriced. It's in our neighbourhood, however, and we will return.

Everything we ordered was fantastic. We enjoyed pizza, beet salad, Brussels sprout, seared tuna, and roasted chicken. The chicken was to die for. It was on the daily special menu and I hope it becomes on their permanent menu. Thank you to the staff at Novo.

What a gem this neighbourhood restaurant is. Fantastic food that is prepared with care. Had the truffle gnocchi. The larger than usual gnocchis were delicate and fluffy in a light cream sauce. Service was attentive even though they were busy. My companions had the margarita pizza and pasta bolognaise. Loved them. We shared the walnut pear arugula salad and the warm cheese and focaccia. Outstanding presentation and generous portions. Will be back soon.

.. This is a super "buzzy" local neighborhood gem.. When their patio start up (like the date of this review maybe) with the glorious afternoon, highly recommended late lunch Al Fresco at 3 pm for happy hour on the south side of the Burrard bridge :)) ..Don't tell them I sent you .. any pizza is a good one here
