This place was interesting and different. The food was ok, but I don't feel that it was worth what we paid for it. It was $38 and change for each person, plus your drink and tip. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things. But I was not impressed with the taste of the cheese we had for an appetizer. The pasta was not all that great, they didn't have part of what was offered for that package that I ordered. The vegetarian meat balls were dry. I never was able to get the red potatoes tender. The only thing I really liked about my entree was the mushrooms. The dessert was also a let down. It offers milk chocolate to dip your dessert items into, but what you get is the liquid chocolate syrup. When I asked the waitress about it, she assured me it was chocolate melted wafers. I assure you it was not.
My husband & I went there for the first time to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We really enjoyed everything! Not one complaint.
We arrived at 8:25 for a 8:30 reservation. We were seated at 9pm. Our server was prompt and had a good personality. We got drinks, cheese fondue and salad and then everything went downhill from there. Our server started our cooking pot for the meal and said it would take about 10 minutes to boil and she would bring our entrees out. After 20-25 minutes of the sauce evaporating at least an inch, she came back and said it looked almost ready-just a few more minutes. Ten minutes after that, she brought our meats to be cooked. She brought me the teriyaki steak instead of the filet mignon. She did quickly get this fixed. She asked if I wanted another rum and coke, and I agreed, while joking to my husband that I would never see it. The manager brought it to the table 17 minutes later. We cooked, ate and the food was good. Server came back around and discussed dessert. We explained we were stuffed and didn't really have any room-she said we could take it to go or that she would give us cards to come back and redeem for a treat later. I should add here that we had a Groupon for fondue, salads, and three entrees. We were unsure if the Groupon came with dessert but she pressed us so we ordered the Flaming turtle. The server makes the chocolate, threw some heath bar in and disappears. We realize this was not what we ordered and so my husband requested her presence when another server saw us looking around. She came back and we explained the issue, she said it was the same base and she would just add the pecans and 151-we would just have some heath bar in it as well. Now why the dessert concoction was delicious, her nonchalant I screwed up 4 times and didn't apologize approach wasn't appreciated. Oh, and it was $18 for dessert. On a side comment, I thought automatically adding 18% gratuity for a party of 2 wasn't traditionally done, but maybe it is there with a Groupon. Anyway, we arrived before 8:30 and walked out at 11pm! No time for anything else.
Our waitress Kim was very polite and professional, we thoroughly enjoyed our Birthday Celebration night!
The customer service is outstanding, has an very romantic ambiance, cozy, perfect for date night but, the food wasn't that great or worth the price. I will definitely recommend this place but, use a groupon. Because, the food isn't worth the price.
Enjoyed the fondue and the wine flight selection. Our server was very nice and we enjoyed our experience.
It was such a lovely time. Great way to celebrate a birthday!
We enjoyed our meal and the attentive service. Thank you.
I took my son here for a mother-son date! He has food sensitivities to wheat. It is so hard to eat out!!! BUT here, we said we want to eat gluten-free and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Our server was informed about gluten even in the seasonings. It was enjoyable to not have to worry and relax AND know my son would not be sick later. We will definitely be going back!
Service was horrible and food took forever and chocolate was cold. The waitress was mad that we didn't want to leave her a $31 tip... yea cause she sucked at her job. It was my birthday dinner and people that had never been there said they would never return and was upset at my choice in restaurants.
Excellent place! Lexie our waitress was awesome! My husband is vegetarian and she was very accommodating!
My daughter and I generally go twice a year. Once for each of our birthdays. We both really enjoy the food. We always do the four course meal which is the best value. I think the cheese is the best course and she thinks its the chocolate. This year we took my youngest nephew with us and it was his first time. He said the chocolate was the best course.
Anyone looking for something different or the opportunity to let the kids play in there food, needs to give this a go.
We had a wonderful experience celebrating our 11 year anniversary. The staff was amazing and the service wonderful. The portions were great, we were so full we didnt even indulge in the chocolate.
The waitress was very kind
Have been to this location before and had a better experience this previous times . Service was good but other times I’ve been told we can ask for “refills “ of all food items we ordered including meats and the cheese fondue . And when I asked this time was basically shut down and told no . The server was fine and I have no complaints but for about $40 a person it’s not a great value for my two sons and myself . Restaurant Is always in good shape and clean but the lights need to be turned down a notch. Felt like we were being questioned at a police station !😀
We always have great service at The Melting Pot. My only complaint is that we arrived for dinner at 6:30 pm, ordered our meats (three of us ordered shrimp in our selections), and then we were told 20 minutes later that the table before us took the last of the shrimp and we all needed to make another selection. I guess I don't feel that if I'm paying $240 for dinner that I should have to choose replacement items that I didn't really want because they ran out at the last minute of what I ordered, especially early on into the dinner hours. Other than that, the service is great, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable.
The hostess was rude and disrespectful. She was speaking poorly “whispering” about my husband and me. I worked in the service industry for years and this is absolutely unacceptable. I understand young kids need jobs but they need to be trained how to treat guests!
Our server was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We left her a 30% tip.
We will not be back due to being treated poorly by the hostess staff.
Our waiter Dakota was AMAZING! Best service I’ve ever had! This place is one of my favorites and I don’t go often, but every time has been great. This time was extra great because we had a very personable waiter and I even mentioned that to the manager After our meal!
The service was great. We had an issue the couple behind us and they moved us quickly and checked on us frequently. The food was amazing and I'll be going back in 2 weeks for the girls night out event they are having. Super excited!
My friend told me I would love it and she was correct, so did my date. It was a different experience, the seclusion of our table was everything. The drinks were awesome!
Wasnt impressed, spent well over $150 and left not even feeling full. The desert was fun and yummy. Appetizer was good. Drinks took over 30/45 min to arrive. Dinner was very small portions. More snack than dinner
Nice place. Service was good but a little slow at times.
This was a great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When they bring the food it doesn’t seem like much but it surprisingly more than enough. We will be back to try the chocolate menu next
I actually love the melting pot and this time was a little different. I felt like the waiter took too long to come to our table in between meals. Honestly, when I pay that much for food, I don't feel like I should have to wait 15-20 minutes in between courses just to feel miserable to where I can't even have dessert. I mean I will still come back, but I wasn't very pleased with this last visit.
The Melting Pot was great! The service was amazing and the food was terrific.
Anniversary Dinner with theRonantic Package. Worth every penny. Service was excellent and food was superb. 5star experience for sure.
They always great love this place
Date Night! We had a table reserved and were seated right on time. They chose for us a secluded alcove where we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant! Very romantic and special. Our server was top-notch with the perfect mix of attending to our needs and leaving us to our private alcove. I really wish I could remember her name, because she was one of the most on-point servers we've ever had, anywhere!
We started with cocktails. The Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini and the Gummy Bear Martini were so yummy that we ordered another!
We chose the 4-course meal (cheese fondue, salad, meat entree fondue, and chocolate fondue). They have lots of choices for whatever your palate is craving. We had the Quatro Formaggio with charcuterie board, the mixed meat entree (lobster tail, shrimp, pork, sirloin, filet, chicken) and the Yin Yang with Grand Marnier. The amount of food was just about right (we had a little left over).
The restaurant wasn't super busy at 7:30pm on a Thursday, but there were at least 10-15 other tables of people but we couldn't hear any of them from our table. It was the most relaxing meal we've ever had. We were there about 2-1/2 hours and never felt rushed at all.
Me and my wife really enjoyed our anniversary there. The smaller 2 person boothes are nicer then a regular table or booth.
Overall I was kinda disappointed. Service was very slow when other tables taken care of by the same server got served faster than us, and the server was rude with us being new to the melting pot experience. Food was delicious but service ruined the experience for me
Attention to detail, server had a great knowledge of the menu, and it's ingredients.
Enjoyed my bday dinner, quiet intimate booth, waitress was informative helpful friendly went above and beyond. Its a must try....have something for everyone..
It seemed as though our waiter was too busy for us. He was very nice but running like crazy. Three different people came to “help out” our waiter. (Their words)
Server forgot things on 3 different occasions had to come back to the table and ask, manager stopped by to ask if we needed anything an never saw what we requested for as well. Service very subpar and disappointing, food quality over all excellent!
We love traveling to different countries for the food and trying new things in DFW. This was an absolute fail. The cheese fondue was disgusting, the caesar salad was ok, and the fact that my food was boiled in a broth was frustrating. The fondue experience really wasn't as expected. Should've went to Simply Fondue. I purchased a Groupon for $45 for $70 worth of food and still paid $40 extra for a sodas and a mandatory gratuity. As a previous waiter at a restaurant, gratuity is important, but not mandatory, especially when they didn't even bother to ask how the service was upon paying. I would have been better off going elsewhere for my husband's birthday. Never again.
Had a great time. Not too loud able to talk freely. Sever was great. A very enjoyable experience.
It was ok way to expensive and they charge 18% tip
Enjoyed the experience and creative dining. The cost is pricey and I don’t like the 18% mandatory gratuity.
We love going to The Melting Pot in Arlington! It’s a common date night restaurant. Tonight we had Lexie as our server and she was amazing! I definitely recommend.
Made reservation for 7:30 and was 10 minutes early, wasn't seated for 45 minutes past our reservation bar tender was very nice while we waited, got to table and was told as we were ordering that they were out of shrimp and that is a main reason we like going is the shrimp, manager was stressed when he brought our food out and rushed putting our food down and explaining what to do,
