   Restaurant did not have reservation, I made it 3 mos ago and they stopped using OpenTable 1 month ago but I received no notification of a problem. In fact, I received a confirmation reminder the day before. The manager was not apologetic or accommodating about the situation, basically said there was nothing they could do and go somewhere else. I go to this restaurant every year before the NODM marathon and was very disappointed with the customer service.

   Outside of the hipe that my wife and daughter had about the restaurant it was actually a very good meal. The Chicken Parmigiana paired with the fettuccine alfredo was very flavorful. Add the local wine and it was an excellent meal.

   Last time, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. This time, a large boisterous party distracted the wait staff and must have overloaded the kitchen. My salad was dripping in oil and the prawns were rubbery. I may give the restaurant another chance because it has a good reputation in the community. Maybe it was an off night.

   Went there for anniversary dinner and lucked into a great wine tasting event. Great food and nice atmosphere. Friendly service and some place I'd go again.

   The ambiance is beautiful and the wine list is worth the wait. So long as the owner actually acknowledges your presence at all. There were many people waiting just to be spoken to in order to get their names on the wait list and they were all repeatedly ignored by staff and the owner as she flounced haughtily around avoiding eye contact with any of her potential customers. One couple was waiting for an hour from out of state and was repeatedly ignored. Another couple walked in and the owner made warm and welcoming small talk with them and stated she would be sure to take care of them. They were seated 10 minutes later. I went on opentable and made a reservation for 15 minutes out and when the time for my reservation came I told the owner she should seat the couple that had been waiting over an hour and we would take the next available seat. She stated she honors reservations over walk ins. I politely but firmly insisted that she seat them first and not ignore her patrons as it was very rude. She continued to argue against switching out reservation to the nice out of town couple. We exchanged a few more strained comments over pasted on smiles, then myself and my dinner date left and went down a couple blocks to Station 51 Taphouse and dined on some surprisingly delicious hotdogs and refreshing tap beer without all the snobbery and entitled behavior of a snobby business owner. Which, I'm sure Bella Italia may have right to be, but I personally would rather feel invited and pleasant for the money I gladly give to an establishment for a fabulous dining experience than watch someone like her treat people as though they mean nothing to her. Very "fancy" for Port Angelas and an attitude to match. Fabulous fabulous wine list though.

   The food and service were outstanding, but definitely call the restaurant directly to verify any reservations in advance. I made my reservations through Open Table two weeks ahead, and arrived to no record of it? The restaurant was packed, and the staff did everything that they could to work us in-was just a bit more laborious than expected and our seating wasn't what I'd anticipated (having eaten there before). Well worth the wait in any case, and kudos to the staff under the circumstances...

   What a surprise! In our travels through Port Angeles over several years (via the Coho ferry), we had never had a memorable meal. Since we planned to stay overnight on February 14th, my husband booked a Valentine's dinner at Bella Italia. From start to finish, we enjoyed our experience there. Creative Valentine elements added to the decor, the service was excellent and the food was superb. We were informed that everything was fresh and made onsite. We have already told several friends about this little gem and we will certainly stop in again sometime in the future. ❣

    Fabulous experience, as always! Delicious/healthy menu, excellent wine selection & wonderful service!!! (Bruschetta could be main course, it's THAT GOOD.) Port Angeles is fortunate to have this fine restaurant to enjoy year round!
