I ordered the bavette and fries the bavette was so small that I honestly thought it was anorexic. The Cesar salad was the bomb thankfully I had that before so I was pretty filled
Super amazing cloice and quality for fair price. Great service
The service and food were excellent but the music volume got too loud, not great for a dinner more like for a club.
Our food was tasty and nicely plated. Service was friendly and efficient at the beginning of our evening, but towards the end , our server was nowhere to be found .
We really enjoyed our dinner none the less, and the atmosphere was fun!
Service was inattentive.
Beet salad was low on flavor. Scallops and bacon appetizer was moderately flavorful.
Entrees were not up to French style flavor!
Great Ambiance ! very friendly staff and attentive to details
Great service, excellent atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meals with the exception of the person who ordered the burger as it was overdone and a bit dry.
Food was good but not very many people for a Saturday night. Service was excellent. It was cold however in the dining room. Reasonable prices.
Have been going here for quite sometime and always know we will have a delicious meal and great time on every visit!
The staff is friendly and efficient.
Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent menu and service. Ambience and excellent seating. Had a great dinner in Montreal.
Enjoyable evening. Celebrated birthday and 25th wedding anniversary. Lovely ambiance. Great service. Food not bad, but on the mediocre side.
Service was slow, and spotty. Understaffed. Gluten free options were limited.
We always get the best service from Manny. Food was great as usual.
I don't really know what to say.
I can't tell why I went there and spent 200$ on a souper for 2. It does not worth it. Might as well go to la Cage aux sports...
It’s akways wonderful being at Towne Hall.. food is delicious and service is great,
Food was not as good as previously and drink was very basic.
Service was mediocre. Main dishes arrived while we were still having our starters. Had to ask for drinks as we were not asked if we wanted any. It was noisy...had trouble understanding our waiter. And our waiter hardly came by to check up on us...we had to wave him down...which was difficult since he never looked our way. Food was just ok...not good enough to go back. Overall a big disappointment. Btw. It was not busy, so no excuse for the below average service.
Not very busy, but they seemed to be grossly understaffed.
The service we DID have was extremely attentive!
The ambiance was very neat and clean.
The menu lacked depth and what we chose was uninspired.
The exception was my father said that his Fish ‘n’ Chips were good.
We wanted to enjoy a cappuccino after dinner, but what we got was like-warm at best.
Had a great night and experience. The waiters and Manager were very attentive and patient. The food was delicious!
My wife had the filet mignon and the portion was small and over cooked so we sent it back. She asked to change the potato for grilled vegetables which they did but then charged $6! The second steak came and it had been butterflied so it was very thin but at least cooked to order.
It’s Saturday night and they had many large groups and so it became quite loud in the restaurant.
We had the Fish Tacos as appetizers, then the Short Rib and Sesame Crusted Tuna as mains. Finished up with both the Chocolate Fondant and Chocolate Soufflé to compare. (Go with the Fondant.) Everything was delicious very expertly prepared.
Excellent service; a little expensive but worth it for such good quality food and presentation. Relaxed atmosphere and not pretentious.
Birthday celebration. Excellent service and food
Our server Jordan was helpful and a fountain of knowledge when it came to food. The restaurant also accommodated my special requests. The beet and goat cheese stack was very tasty as an appetizer while my dinner of the Veggie Stir Fry was wonderful especially the noodles. I hadn't been to Towne Hall in quite some time but I am so glad that I ventured back to it again!
Restaurant is starting to go downhill. The restaurant is huge so if it's not super busy, it kind of kills the vibe. In this case there were three rather large groups (maybe large groups and parties is their target market now?), but still huge pockets of the restaurant that was empty, which is not a great sign for a Saturday night. The large groups also dominated the wait staffs attention, which meant our little table of two didn't really get great service. The staff was very friendly though, and you could see they were working incredibly hard. Food wise, the calamari was way too greasy and soft, and I'm really curious how they cook steak because it was well-done except for a square in the middle which was raw (there was no gradient from cooked to medium to rare like you would normally get in a medium-rare steak) - it tasted very good though. Overall, it was fine, but probably wouldn't be my choice for an impromptu dinner with the girlfriend on a Saturday night in the future.
Great ambiance, excellent food and service ! Special thanks to Philippe Messadie for being so inviting !
Belle ambiance, nourriture hors pair et un service de qualité ! Mention spéciale à Philippe Messadie pour son accueil chaleureuse !
Average food with average service. Third time there but I think the Keg is better and better value for money.
Food and service was great. Will definitely return.
Great for apetizers and wine on a date night. Atmosphere was great on the bar side. Service was friendly.
Excellent octopus salad! Service was great!
Very standard. Nothing out of the ordinary. Had issues with the pre dinner drink and the cold, stale and tasteless bread they served to go along with the meal.
The restaurant was nice. The service was great. Our waiter was very kind and met all of our needs. The food however is overpriced for its quality. I've been to restaurants that have tastier food and are generally less expensive. The restaurant was very loud. Not a very cozy place. I wouldn't really go back.
Food was very good. Service was not rushed and our waiter Michel could have worked at any of the best restaurants in town. He was a real pro and made the evening very enjoyable.
Great food and service. Would recommend for casual dinner or special events.
Valentines. Day dinner
Our server was Alex.. he was so pleasant and had a terrific personality that made the evening very enjoyable ..
The food was delicious and atmosphere great.,
Just a little expensive. Supper for 2 with wine, tax and tip was $190.00
Got fooled by the waiter into ordering an off-menu item that cost a fortune. Our party of 7 was 'recommended' to order a seafood platter as an entrée, which according to him was enough for 5 people. This being a business meal nobody asked for the price, seeing the average entrée cost about $ 10.00. So one of my colleagues ordered it. When the bill came we were charged $ 150 for the platter....! Absolutely disgraceful.
Furthermore, when I ordered my $ 28.00 steak and asked him if he recommended medium or medium-well, he recommended medium, but told me that I would probably better enjoy another type of steak as it was more tender. At least I had the good sense to ask him the price of that steak and when he told me $ 54.00 I decided to stick to my original choice. Recommending another choice is fine, but not mentioning that such a choice would cost twice as much is, in my opinion, unethical.
I do not appreciate such practices and will no longer support it. I will not go back to Towne Hall, even if this was a business event that I was able to expense.
I eat here often and I always love it! However, I was disappointed that there were no oysters last time I was there ☹️. But overall service and food is great!
