This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered the French Onion soup. It used to be my favorite. Something has changed & it’s not nearly as tasty. The onions aren’t caramelized & the soup isn’t very hot. Also the pomme frites were lukewarm. Additionally they are no longer offering their fabulous smoking Cosmopolitan, which was also a favorite of mine. Service was great, but I won’t be back anytime soon.

Our server greeted my son happy birthday and did a little song for him as soon as he got up to o us table. He was very friendly and attentive throughout out our dinner. Food was excellent. We had oysters and escargot for starters and both were good. For our entrees, we had cacio y pepe and added chicken to it and the Julia (lobster bisque) both were really good except the chicken which was a bit dry and bland. Had crème brûlée for dessert and that was good too. There’s a parking garage behind the bldg and there’s a walkway to the restaurant which is very convenient Overall a great experience.

The menu is enticing, but the product was poor. Fries average, Bernadette sauce thin, calamari looked white, not fried, salad dressing had no taste, ahi tuna was tough. We had a good experience on New Years Eve, but probably won’t go back,

We were there to celebrate our Anniversary, which was noted on our reservation. We were given a booth right near the bar. The be noise level was very loud. I was hoping for a romantic experience, but it was definitely not that. The food was just so-so. My husband had the bouillabaisse which was very good, but overpriced for the amount at $45. I had the walleye which was very fresh, but it was broken apart and had a soggy breading. The haricots were overcooked. We enjoyed our appetizers. I had the escargot and my husband had the baked Brie. I hear they have a good Happy Hour, so I would be interested in trying that out. Otherwise, I doubt we will return there.

I loved everything about my food and the experience, but my husband's duck dish needed more seasoning. I enjoyed hearing the kitchen manager calling out what food what needed as orders came in. We were right next to it.

We love Salut. We have been going for many many years! Every time we have out of town visitors we bring them to Salut Edina. Very nice memories! And our friends take pictures with the elephant on the wall! It has become a tradition!

After half a dozen poor experiences eating out, Salut was refreshing. The food was absolutely top notched. Ambience makes you feel like you’re in France. The service was friendly but a little slow. Most likely a staffing issue since we went between Christmas and New Year’s but it was brunch so we weren’t particularly in a rush. Overall, a very nice experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Overpriced for what I ordered. Not in favor of automatically adding a 5% benefits and safety sanitation service charge to the check. I asked that they remove it as I knew that was possible upon request. Originally the waiter said that was not possible to do. Then asked for the manager who did so. As a patron I do not feel it is my responsibility to pay for employees benefits as the owner of the establishment should be responsible for that. All restaurants do not add this service charge on automatically. Would not recommend.

Great French Food! I had the lobster bisque complete with a split lobster tail and lobster claw meat. Delicious! Other highlights included perfectly prepared escargot and the mussels and frites. The service was a little slow, but I think they were a bit short staffed the evening we visited. Our waiter was friendly and one of the owners was helping deliver food and drinks. This wasn't our first time visiting, nor will it be our last.

I did not like the extra 5% tax added to the bill. 15 dollars for a glass of wine was crazy and a bottle of coors beer was too pricy. We had planned to eat there again but wont now after we saw that extra 5% tax added. The reason for it was outrageous. This was our first time there and probably the last.

Our party of six were all happy with there food and drinks. My cosmo was too juicy, but it is hard to explain very light pink, as I ordered it. The breaks between our server stopping by were a bit long, but she did a good job for us. The menu selections are very appealing and the drinks generous.

The food was mediocre lacking flavor. The menu is old with not any exciting options. Want to support local restaurant but Salut is tired - menu needs to be jazzed up. Happy to see it busy. The calamari with shallots and zucchini isn’t great - preferred the other recipe with little red and green peppers.

Lovely steak sandwich, tenderloin was tasty. Tuna Niçoise salad was a great piece of tuna. Nice salad. The featured white French wine was excellent and nice value. The service was a bit slow. Our server never brought a chiller for the white wine. She was kind of unresponsive.

We originally had a reservation at 5pm, but one of our party thought it was 6pm. The host and hostess were VERY helpful and were able to shift our reservation (while we were standing there at 5pm) an hour. They could of just said no, but they worked really hard to accommodate our mistake and I truly appreciate this. Thank you!

Just for starters we ordered the bread-half of the loaf was so hard we sent it back. That should have been a sign. Next the calamari was luke warm when served as an appetizer. I ordered the cheeseburger royale and it was warm at best. The fries were cold and completely soft. The French onion soup had no flavor. Our server must have had the entire restaurant in her section because we saw her twice. My family used to live this location. We were so disappointed.
