This place used to be our default for a celebration but it has truly fallen off in the last couple of years. The restaurant was mostly empty, however the service was terrible and slow. Our server was incredibly unfriendly. Our requests for water were ignored for over 35 minutes, I timed it. The food- nothing was seasoned correctly. My father in law was served the saddest looking clams, and the rest of us were served fried calamari with raw batter. Every entrée felt like we had made a mistake; the stuffed salmon was as dry as sawdust, 'crab meat' stuffed shrimp was filled with mushy unseasoned bread crumbs in a flavorless white sauce and my husband's steak was not cooked to his request, was served to him black and blue and was all grizzle. We would have sent 2 out of 4 entrees back, except our server never checked on us once the food was dropped off to our table. The interiors is so dark and outdated. Its sad to see a once great place fall from grace. I am more than happy to pay $300 for a meal with good food and service, this was not it. We won't be back.

I was a little disappointed with the food. I really missed the big bowl of salad & the tray of vegetables. The chicken francese was a bit tough. The sauce was very good. The popovers & strawberry butter were delicious.

We went for Hudson valley restaurant week. I normally love this restaurant. The waitress was nice, but talked a bit too much about things that weren’t really uplifting. We haven’t been to a restaurant in over a year and finally decided to get out to a restaurant that we usually enjoy. We had a reservation for 6:30 and our food didn’t come till 8:00 after we complained. We were told that they would give us dessert for free, but as dessert comes with the restaurant week menu the only discount we were given was the $5 for our daughter’s dessert. My fish was dry when I got it and my husband’s ribs were also a bit over cooked. I did not enjoy my appetizer (mussels) which was unfortunately recommended by the waitress. I’m sure that I will go back again, but it was just unfortunate that our first night out was not as great as we expected it to be.

The waitress was great, as we needed to make a change in the menu course. Service was great and the person in charge visited our table to make sure everything was fine. The ambiance was great as well as the social distancing.

As always, love the popovers and Caesar salad. My strip steak with a side of Bearnaise and shoe string fries was good to the last bite. So happy to be able to dine out again after being vaccinated.
