The service was very slow. Took 25 minutes for drinks to come out and a while for food. Food and drinks were delicious

I’ve been to Mr Hizolas multiple times along the years and haven’t been for quite some time… I was actually really disappointed in the service and the quality of the food that came out. I have always known the restaurant to have great service. We ordered the chicken skewers and it came out definitely not cooked. There was blood on the skewers and when we brought it up the waitress argued saying it’s common and that it’s the thigh of the chicken hence why it’s a bit “ pink”. It was not pink in a way you’d want to eat. She argued and it was just uncomfortable. Our rice was forgotten about and I had to ask another server to follow it up. Our actually appointed waitress didn’t once come to apologise or acknowledge she had forgotten.

Overall a lovely evening but a bit disappointed in the food. The accompaniment with the dishes we chose, seemed to always have a bed of crispy noodles and red cabbage....more variety is needed. The scallops were delicious but the honey prawns seemed to be frozen/pre-packaged prawns because they were all of the same size and shape. The ambience is delightful and the service very attentive.

Service was great, food pretty good, and loved the idea of the emporers feast. I will review the foods we ate lotus root chips - very moreish! Salmon Tartare - the avocado mousse was a little over powering pork belly bites - 10/10 no notes pork and chive pot stick dumplings - 10/10 fried wagyu dumplings - didnt love these, the texture wasnt quite right steak - very well seasoned and soft prawn and scallop noodles - great amount of prawns, sauce lacking depth but still very nice. greens - a nice break up amongst the heavier dishes. Drinks - had a cocktail devil in disguise which was very yum!

Really good food - we did have to ask twice to be seated somewhere nice as I had requested a private seating and they tried to sit us at entrance in middle but definately wasn't private but after being confident that we had requested a private table they moved us. Food is good - reasonably priced too

My favourite restaurant in Burleigh. Have been here several times and each time has been great. Food is so good and the emperors feast is well priced and very satiating.
