Elizabeth on 37th
One of the best meals I have had in years. The butter bean soup with shrimp was absolute perfection. The baked red snapper was delicious. The wait staff made you feel welcome, attended you every need professionally, but never over doing it.
Elizabeth is showing it’s age. Seems tired and dated. Same menu items. Clientele is all seniors.
Fantastic food and service. Overall a great experience.
Wonderful food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. Cocktails were perfect! Expensive but worth treating yourself to something special! They even gave us a complementary desert.
The perfect place to go to experience Savannah hospitality. High end refined cuisine superb service elegant dining. If you want to have one super high end meal and pull out all the stops, I would recommend this place with out reservation.
Elizabeth’s continues to be my favorite special occasion spot in Savannah. Fantastic service (always), and I’ve never had a bad meal (beef tenderloin is A++++, will never get anything else). AND their Savannah Cream Cake is one of my top three desserts in town.
This place is amazing! My husband and I care here to celebrate our last remaining weeks just the two of us before we become parents and we were blown away by the experience! The house is gorgeous, staff is on point and works like clockwork, and the food was to die for. I had the steak which I highly recommend, and we shared the scallops as an appetizer - they were mouth-wateringly good. Definitely not a place we could come to often (and probably won’t for another 18 years), but an absolute must if you’re visiting Savannah and want a fancy night out.
Fantastic food and service.. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Savannah.. Perfect meal..
Nice special occasion place if a-bit over priced
Dining room was quite noisy and on street parking difficult
Staff were attentive and a bit pushy, as if they were eager to turn the table over
Nice place. Food was very average.
Amazing dishes with very fresh ingredients.
When visiting Savannah, Elizabeth on 37th is a romantic restaurant with great local food and Southern charm
Exquisite. Refined. Attentive.
Nice place but not a thrill. The prices are fantastic. The service was very good. Very attentive. The food was good. Not fantastic. Probably many other places near the price point and lower and just as good
The restaurant was a recommended to us by a friend, and we are quite thankful we went, the food was wonderful, the service was outstanding, I feel that they would have accommodate us with anything we requested, a definite sign of a great restaurant ! Will certainly go back next time we visit Savannah.
One of the most memorable dinners we have had in many years everything about it from ambiance, service, food was spectacular.
The food and ambiance were exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable and gracious without being intrusive. Very enjoyable evening.
This place has been outstanding for us. It may have been 3 years apart but there was no drop in standards. Nice quiet place to eat for a spexial occasion. I would recomend this place to anyone.
This is a beautiful, truly Southern restaurant! The service was wonderful, the presentation perfect and the cuisine very good. It was, however, over-priced for what it was and we think it was a bit hyped! We travel a lot and eat out often. We would not put it in the 5 star category. There are other restaurants in Savannah that compete in every area and are a better price point.
Quintessential Savannah cuisine and ambience. The house is stunning, service sublime topped by excellent low country cuisine. Don’t miss dessert.
Perfect service, food, I am definitely coming back.
We have dined here a number of times and always enjoyed ourselves. This time, however, we noticed a rather "musty" smell and the furniture all look worn and frayed. Service was terrific and the food was quite good. We dined with friends for whom it was their first time at Elizabeth's and they were unimpressed.
One entrée was fabulous. The other entrée was a fish dish that was slightly over cooked. The other food items were wonderful. WE received a complimentary oyster (one each) and a complimentary salad. The bartender did not know how to make manhattans. We had to send it back and tell him what ingredient was missing which also affected the color. A well-established restaurant should know how to make a common cocktail. We did mention it was our anniversary on the open table reservation but apparently it did not get to the restaurant. Overall it was a very nice evening and worthy of a recommendation.
Elizabeth on the 37th was perfect for our anniversary! We made reservations ahead of time and when we got their the staff was amazing from beginning to end. I’m the middle of our dinner the electricity went out due to an accident down the road. The staff immediately brought out candles and we finished our dinner by candlelight. Everyone was so apologetic for the “inconvenience” but honestly my husband and I loved the candlelight dinner even more! It definitely gave off the romantic yet spooky vibe din d it was October 29 that we were looking for.
Also, the food was great! We will definitely come back when we get the chance to visit Savannah again!
Fantastic as always!!
The service at Elizabeth's was impeccable. The food was out-of-this-world delicious. While it was pricey it was well worth it for the experience.
Elegant quliative restaurant, one of the owner came to the table to share his specials in the beginning and the other owner support Tibetan monks. There were 5 of the monks dining the night we were. Great food and wonderful service. Highly recommended
We have been traveling from our home in new jersry to our home in Delray Beach .. we were thrilled to try Elizabeth on 37 th for our one night delicious dinner.. everything was perfect. .. a must try for anyone looking for great food . Amazing service and a lovely place to enjoy dinner from
Start to finish. Thanks for sn amazing memory ..
Being a Savannah Native , I might be biased but this is One of, if not, the best Dining and food experiences in Savannah! The Grouper Celeste melted in your mouth. The appetizers we had were on the special and were amazing. The red rice and shrimp ( seafood jambalaya) rivals any we have ever had . We will be back for many special occasions to come! There is a reason they have won so many rewards of the years and continue to be a staple of fine southern cuisine!
A real disappointment. I don’t know if the restaurant was overwhelmed or what but our service was not good. One of our party was lactose intolerant (which we told the server up front); she was brought a salad with cheese (twice! They replaced it with another one that had cheese on it!) and ice cream. The wine suggestion was poor. My meal (grouper with peanut sauce) tasted like its ingredients were picked at random. And it was very expensive. I think it’s floating on its reputation. There are far better restaurants in Savannah.
Lost it’s luster. Too many, new innovative restaurants around today. Big tourist ripoff.
Always amazing! Greg, Gary and the team make this place a true once in a life time experience. Thank you!
Awesome best in town!
Crusted four seeded flounder to die for.
Great house to have dinner in but we’re sat way back in the kitchen and could have been anywhere
We were a looking forward but very disappointed by treatment...
Note to self... no need to dress up in savanna any more those days are gone...very casual.
Went on the first night of our honeymoon, food was amazing! We ate the specials which were snapper and grouper and we had the scallops for an appetizer. The service was fantastic! Great wine selection and they brought us rosé and cake for dessert which was so nice!
Outstanding. One of the best in a city of really fine restaurants.
The ambience is delightful, the service unobtrusive and swift, and the food is creative and very tasty. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
When looking for great service and excellent tasting, quality food, this restaurant is superb. The beef tenderloin was done medium rare to perfection and the roasted chicken was superior.
Parking wasn't an issue as we went one block south. The inconsiderate party of four who thought everyone in the restaurant needed to hear their entire conversation was the only issue.
Its probably a bit biased if I write a review once or twice a month for Elizabeth's but as a foodie I permit myself the best biases and I will say it again, this is the restaurant that others want to be when they grow up as far as the overall experience. Kim (guy) was our waiter per usual. Ask for he or Aly if you can. The St James' oysters were to die over and the tenderloin this night was so mouth decadent that I'm not sure if I've ever tasted one finer and I've eaten many. Kim also presented us with the encrusted flounder to split and hoped that we might love it more, and as amazing as it was, the tenderloin still won the evening. The pumpkin cheesecake made for a great seasonal option and if you're wise? Ask for Kim to do you a chef's table and make it easy on yourselves in that sense! Tell him or Aly that Shannon sent you!
I am a native Savannian and I had never dined here before. Was extremely happy with the service, the food and the atmosphere. Can't wait until our next big evening.
