   I booked a table here for my boyfriend's 30th birthday a week beforehand only for the restaurant to cancel with less than 24 hours notice saying it was closing for refurbishment! Surely they would've known that when I booked the table 6 days before that so why take the booking?! All the nice restaurants that we then tried to book into were full so we ended up not eating out! Thanks for ruining what was meant to be a special day!

   We arrived from England and taxi from Manhattan to Queens to find the restaurant closed since September. Open table should make sure restaurants exist before they book tables for people !!!!!!!!! Not happy at all .......

   This restaurant was great. The staff was very friendly. I made reservations and called ahead to say I would be late and it was still ok. The food was great!!! And the ambiance is lovely. Very warm n cozy.

   This place is catagorized as a "has been". Needs to go on Restaurant redo reality show. This was a premier restaurant long ago, in need of face lift, revamping of menu and wait staff. Hostess unaware of access to outdoor deck, dressed shabbily. Waiter brushed crumbs off table and threw on the floor. Skirt steak was miniscule and lacked taste $30 for that plus $16 for sides. I do not need quantity, a quality morsel is worth its' cost. This was downright terrible. Calamari was rubbery. Even the bread had a stale frozen taste. So sad

   Very beautiful view of Manhattan. Their coconut mojito was excellent. Food was just as good. Service was good. Overall a great restaurant. Pricey but great.

   I planned this dinner for my daughter who was turning 16! She loves NYC and loves to take photos! Everything was fantastic...the food, the waiter, the atmosphere. I just wish the huge cranes weren't in the way of the fabulous view! Bad timing but I understand couldn't be helped!

   1st time here in this restaurant on 10/13/15. Food was ok, not bad, I gave 4 stars for food. We had Long Island Duck, and Rib Eye steak, appetizer is Tuna Tatar. Service was good, but I think a bit too much to check back to customers. We got at least 7 times interruption to ask from severs about "is everything all right ? ,, is everything ok?,, ....." I totally understand they want to make sure we had a good time,, BUT IT IS TOO MUCH. Let customers enjoy their food, and atmosphere. The atmosphere of Manhattan view is fabulous, but they closed the seating outside. We will be back when they open the seating outside. 4 stars for them.

   Waters Edge, has lost it's "edge" I was very disappointed with the quality of food. I started with the calamari which was fresh and quite good. But the meal went south from there. My guest had the Chilean Sea Bass which was heavy with salt. I had the Duck which wasn't bad, but far from good. For desert, we shared a Creme Brulee. It was watery and barely filled the dish. This was not my first time at WE, I came to love it for its ambiance, and scenery, and for that I am still an admirer. But the quality of the food has dropped drastically. I am almost positive that they changed their chef. The service was impeccable. I'm sorry that I didn't get our waiters name. He was very gracious and professional. The entire restaurant seems to have lost it's flair. Even the outside of the building needs repairing and a spruce-up. I hope the owners read this revue and do something. I would hate for such a lovely restaurant, in a lovely spot, to go the way of the dinosaur. Overall, it was not a bad experience, I just came to expect more from WE. I will give it another chance. Every business has a down-day, and maybe this was theirs.

   It was a rainy Friday evening. The restaurant was not crowded, but there was a special event (wedding party?) going on in the dining room. The party group was loud and distracting to our meal. Of course, such a party will not happen every Friday night. Also, the view of Manhattan was obstructed by construction equipment. This, too, will not be a permanent part of the Water's Edge experience. The food was good (not great). The service was good (not great). Getting to the restaurant on public transportation may include a significant walk, depending on your choice.
