    Awful. Avoid. Place has gone way down hill. 30 minutes in and we only had soft drinks. Not even order taken. Waiter tried to take order without writing it down which he blew. Plus, his pants were hanging around his knees as if we needed to see his green underwear while eating. He spent more time flirting with girls at the bar. Food was far from what it should had been. Macadamia Nut chicken tasted like it came from the ocean it was so salty. Mashed potatoes were a potato ball, and chicken was like it came from Long John Silvers. Cilantro chicken was dried out and could not finish. Could not wait to get out of there and of course had to chase down server to get check which should had been on tabletop device. Should had run when the large table next to us told us to run while we could while they were leaving. Final straw was hostess saying bye while making out with her boyfriend and sitting on his lap on the way out. We use to love this place, and I know things are tight, but there were maybe 6 tables occupied last night, service horrible, food terrible. I fell in love with this place on a trip to Vegas and was excited when they came to Baltimore, but they owners should close this place asap. Management is not doing there job and the food is now just bad. Stay away

    It was my sister in law birthday as well as mine and my brother. I reserved the date night for two. The restaurant was very empty however they sat us in a crowded outside area. Then the waiter told us the date night was not available due to some of the items not being available. I asked to speak to the manager who told me that was not the case. I told him we wanted to leave he asked to give it a chance so we did. Then another waiter came over take over saying our waiter was done for the evening although we saw him all night long sitting and joking with other girls that seemed like they may have been employees because sometimes they were behind the bar and other times they were sitting at the bar although they were not dressed in any uniforms. The new waiter that took our order was very pleasant and apologetic however once our food came out most of the things were wrong vegetable that I ordered they were out of so they just substitute it for something else without asking me what I want it my husband ordered the ribeye and they brought him a burnt New York strip which wasn’t even on the menu. We were very disappointed because we have been waiting to come to this experience for quite some time and they’re were other restaurants that they wanted to go to but I convinced them to go there.

    We were a party of two seated immediately and then left to sit at a sticky table for approximately 30-45min. We flagged down several servers, all of whom promised to get someone to take our order, but none of whom followed through. We consistently asked for a manager, with the request being ignored. We then moved to the bar thinking we would be served faster there. A party of four who arrived to the bar after us were able to order and finish a round of drinks before our order was even taken. We basically sat in the restaurant for over an hour without being attended to, despite constantly being told someone would be right with us. Early on, I suggested we go somewhere else, but the nearest restaurant was closed. This all occurred on a Saturday around 3:30pm.

    Our server KJ went above and beyond our expectations. He was very professional and attentive. Gary the manager was also great. They provided outstanding customer service. Out good and drinks were great.

    Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. We had a 12:00 reservation for a business lunch. They were not very busy, but there also did not seem to be many staff or servers around. No one took our order until 12:30. Soup and salad arrived at 1:00 and our lunch did not arrive until 1:30. Several members of our party had to leave before their lunch arrived because it took an hour and a half for the order to come out and and they had other commitments. Did not leave until after 2pm. Will never go back.

    Sat down at 11:45am and food didn't come out til 1:30pm. 2 of the 4 people at the table had to leave because it was taking too long and had to get back to work and did not get to eat lunch.

    The service was so wonderful. I really enjoyed my date night but two issues with dinner. The clam chowder was salty because it had way too much bacon in it I couldn’t eat it. Lastly those meatballs were so delicious but they had my stomach in knots the rest of the evening. Everything else all the other food was amazing

    Front desk host seemed new and/or very confused about how to seat guest, even with a reservation. Food & drinks were extremely slow coming out, but our server did a great job in getting everything on the table so we could get to the theater on time. Highly recommend the calamari as a starter. The dipping sauce that comes with it is amazing! The lobster & shrimp roll was also very good. The shrimp stir fry had great ingredients, but the sauce was very thin & the flavor was disappointing.

    This place has taken a dive… this used to be the prime spot to hit for dinner after cons…. Now the bathrooms are nasty, toilet seats falling apart, trash everywhere and worse. The place itself was just not maintained. Then there’s the menu… which no one knows what’s in anything. It took forever to even get a coffee, let alone our cocktails. If you have any kind of food allergy stay away because even the cook doesn’t know what they are talking about…. Like for example what gluten is… and even more what’s in the food at all… so there’s literally “gluten free” items on the menu but the chef can’t make sushi gluten free bc the seaweed isn’t gluten free… but then the menu says gluten free sushi and they can make that… Yup… doesn’t make sense. Everyone is new there it seems, so I get it (our server was crazy nice so that made up for a lot of the chaos) but damn even the manager needs to learn the menu… learn how to maintain and CLEAN your restaurant and facilities. Overall it was just a big disappointment. We brought our friend from out of state to show our fave downtown sushi spot only to keep apologizing for choosing a dive spot.

    The wait stuff was slow and couldn’t get our drink orders right. Bartender didn’t know how to make a gin and tonic and took forever to get our drinks. The sushi was good, but I wouldn’t go back.

    It seems the restaurant has a policy of having their servers not write down orders. I. E. Commit them to memory. Do this impress the diners?? This work very poorly in our case.

    Went to dine at this restaurant with my wife for the first time, and i will not be going back! The smallest details can sometimes overshadow everything else that may seen good! The service staff are pretty amable and courteous! Food does take a bit of time to come out! The kitchen missed an item from our order that had to be reordered twice. Things that aren’t supposed to be spicy or hot we’re actually spicy and my wife couldn’t eat most of the items we ordered! And to top it off when we were leaving they told me they had anymore parking validation tickets available, after telling upon arrival my parking would be validated, resulting in me paying $27 parking for 1HR! These are the things that lead me to say i will not be going back ever!!

    Very noisy, with poor food. All of us (6) were very disappointed. Conversation was very difficult and no-one finished their dishes. We would definitely not go back or recommend it to anyone.

    -Music was too loud -Wait for food was too long -Shrimp tacos came out with lettuce substituted for tortillas. Server never let us know they were out of tortillas, so we never had chance to order another item. -Wifes burger was okay. - My Sweet and Bleu salad was very good. - Server was good. Won't be going back.

    This was my first time at this restaurant. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and my lunch. Our server, Nakeisha, was great. She was attentive to our needs. It didn't take long for our food to be prepared. A very welcoming and relaxed environment even for a business meeting. I'll be visiting again and highly recommend this place.

    We got notice 3 minutes before the reservation telling us not to come due to an innocent. When we walked past there were people still enjoying their food and the dj was still playing. Doors were locked. We got no real reason for the cancellation

    Overall, the food was ok. The bathrooms were very dirty. Our server KJ was very nice but there were a few issues with our food order and the mimosas were a bit weird. The flavors we ordered didn’t seem like the flavors we were served. I will never eat here again.

    The food and service were both great. The only thing is the "Power Lunch" is advertised all over (I mean all OVER) the restaurant and there was even a drawing to win a "Power Lunch" but when we asked our server about the "Power Lunch" he said that is no longer available. Thank you.

    It was our 1st visit, and very disappointing. To put this in perspective, I write 10-15 reviews per year, and this is the 1st bad review I have given in the past 5 years. We were the only customers for the 1st hour, and the music was so loud we could not even talk. We had to ask 3 times over 20 minutes before the staff turned the music down. We arrived at 10am, ordered at 10:15, but did not get food until 11:40am. Most of the dishes were cold. A few of us ordered a signature dish ("Kona Loco") with Spam/eggs/rice; there was zero Spam; it had unseasoned beef hamburger. Out of our group of 9, 3 people said their dish was warm and tasty. The only saving grace was that the manager took 60% off the bill.

    I LOVE coming to Kona Grill Downtown! My husband and I enjoy coming over the years - for good drinks, food and atmosphere. Which is why we were surprised at our dining experience his particular evening. When we entered the establishment, there was no hostess/greeter; literally left standing for 15 min (no one from the establishment greeted or made any acknowledgement of my and guests presence, nor the line that started to gather behind us. A young lady finally appeared confirmed our reservation and seated us outside. We were seated and told our waiter would be with us momentarily. Our waiter did not show for another 15min; mentioning, "he had been given too many tables." I looked at my husband, we both stated, "that's more tips for you", in a jovial manner (1st red flag). I mentioned there was no silverware on the table. He said, "Ok". Proceeded to take our drink order and said, he' be right back. He returned. NO silverware. We placed our appetizers (two) and figured he'd be back momentarily with the silverware. About 20min pass by and we don't have any water, our drinks nor silverware. This is not the typical busy night for restaurants. After another short while, we finally receive our drinks (and water) but still no silverware. We mention again. He states, “Ok, be right back." After 30 minutes, he shows up again with our meals, short ribs for my husband and a burger for me. He sets the them down and I immediately notice my burger is not correct; waiter confirms it's not correct and sends it back. There’s something horrible about being very hungry and being unable to eat it. Stomach’s rumbling, you’re salivating, you’re so damn ready to dig in… but you can’t. I wait literally another 30min (by this it's been about 90 min and I have not eaten) I asked for the Manager (who turns bout the be the Hostess), credits my burger. HORRIBLE dining experience. Will think twice about spending my hard-earned money at this establishment. Thank you

    We went for brunch at 11a. Once seated we were informed that there were no mimosas even though they advertise a bottomless mimosa brunch. Will not be back due to false advertising
