   Sons and Daughters was a lovely experience from start to finish. From the friendly texts prior to our dinner to the parting gifts of a personalized menu with homemade truffles. The tasting menu was varied and impeccably prepared. The wine pairings were some of the most unique we have ever had and all paired perfectly with the courses. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wines.

   Attentive in every regard. Wine pairing, though expensive, was worth the upcharge. The wine program is fantastic. To grossly generalize, I would say that the kitchen's current menu prioritizes texture over taste in a pleasing way. The food was more interesting than savory, more evocative than sublime. Portions and pacing were on point. The personalized menus (with wine pairings noted!) were a nice touch. One negative: hand soap in the bathroom should be unscented but the facilities otherwise are top notch.

    This was the best dining experience that we’ve had in over 10 years living in SanFrancisco. On all fronts, it raised the bar high for future other favorite restaurants.     We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was the truly one of the best meals I've ever had, and I dine personally and on business around the world. The food was inventive and superb (all of it could have been a scene out of "Chef's Table"); the service was impeccable, attentive and professional; the wine program was fantastic, with a broad set of selections from around the world perfectly complimenting the food, and with wonderful illustrative information shared by the somm at each pouring. Upon leaving, we were presented with a personalized menu of our meal and a small box of homemade truffles--there was truly no room for improvement in this meal, and the dining room is intimate and beautiful.

    We came to the restaurant for our anniversary dinner and it turned out to be an incredible experience! Every dish was amazing - fresh and complex. The entire mea was a journey and, looking back, there was a really nice rhythm to the meal. We had additional treats along the way and also really enjoyed all of the plates that were used for each dish. It was a joy! We would definitely come back again!

    Wanted to love this experience, but the food and wine just did not deliver on the taste and quality. When there is a significant miss on 3 of the 7 courses, it is hard to justify not just going to a great San Fran restaurant and ordering something amazing. Definitely skip the wine pairings and just spend $200 on your favorite wine as the selections fell flat and did not feel worthy of the spend. Would have been much happier to have one good bottle . Service was good, but did not seem to care that food was going back on multiple courses and not consumed. More work to be done to be 3, 4 or 5 stars on food. Recommend passing as just did not deliver anything but regret on our last night in the city.

    This was our first time at this restaurant and I brought my son for his birthday. I can honestly say it was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve had a lot of good food in my life! Every single dish was perfect the flavors were amazing and I can’t tell you how pleased and excited I was and how good this restaurant is. We had the wine pairing, however we did split it because it’s a lot of wine for me and I’m so glad we did because the ones they chose were perfect with every dish.     The food was delicious, and the service was above and beyond. For example, each time a table member went to the bathroom, a staff would accompany us, open the door, close the door and lock. If you are sensitive to price, the price tag might be a bit high for what you are getting which is why I put it as 4 stars. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience overall.

    Outstanding. From the personal greeting, through the very attentive service and the imaginative and delicious food, this is a great experience. One slight negative, the caviar supplement is creative, but the food pairing with the caviar (chicken base, too spicy sauce) does not compliment the caviar. It needs to be changed.

    Very interesting, creative and well crafted cuisine with a strong personality. The service is impeccable. Very expensive wine pairing. Expensive wine list, in fact it is hard to find wines for less than $100. Very limited selection of wines by the glass. No table cloths, which makes for a rustic feeling that feels cheap. Besides, the beautiful wood of the tables feels sticky. Definitely not appropriate for a high end restaurant.

    The quantity original dishes were appropriate for wine tasting and lady’s stomach. Seafood was very fresh. Surprisingly, home-made breads were soft and chewy, which went well with dishes.

    Absolutely wonderful dining experience- three of us celebrated a birthday and had the 8 courses accompanied by the wine pairings. Service was beyond compare but the dishes were outstanding. Never been a fan of oysters but their oyster dish converted me; the venison dishes were my favorite and all the snacks and the homemade sourdough bread and speciality butter .... so mouth watering. The entire experience was very refined and enjoyable; and worth splurging for. Wines of course were excellently paired and very tasty. Special care was even paid to the restroom which is unusual and much appreciated. Highly recommend.

    We celebrated our forthcoming 25th wedding anniversary here. Very special. Super delicious food, impeccable service. They even gave us truffles to go for our anniversary. Truffles that melt in your mouth. What a treat! The restaurant did not disappoint. Very worth every penny you spend. Thank you so much.
