    The Lodge Pub & Restaurant is a vital part of the Truckee culinary scene. Food, service and the impressive wine list are attractive. Friendly service and the upgraded menu make it special. We try to visit each month, as much as time allows!

    The Lodge was a wonderful dinning experience. The service was polite and friendly and the food was excellent. Over all an enjoyable dinner. I look forward to eating there in the near future.

    The Lodge is the perfect place for dinner when in the Truckee/Tahoe area. It's a wonderful mountain lodge restaurant with warm and comfortable ambience, friendly and professional staff, and delicious food and drinks. The menu changes seasonally, and there is something for everyone. This visit, my husband had the pasta special which was 5-cheese tortellini with mushroom sauce, and it was delicious. I had the Ramen bowl with chicken, and while it was described as mildly spicy, I didn't think it was very spicy at all, so I added sriracha to it to amp up the spiciness. It was very tasty, with a green curry-type broth, lots of noodles and veggies, and plenty of chicken. My husband and I split the vanilla creme brulee, and it was beautifully creamy with plenty of vanilla, and a lovely crunchy top. Service as always was impeccable. We love this place!

    The Lodge is always a great place to enjoy a good meal. The patio is beautiful in the Summer months, and indoors is cozy when it's cold.

    We had our first ever dinner at the Lodge last night and enjoyed every minute of it. Starting with the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere and the food was incredible! My chicken which seems like a pretty basic dish, was delicious and everyone agreed that their entree was as well. We couldn’t have had a better evening!! We will be back!!

    We really appreciate the great service we received from our server last night in the Aspen room. He was so attentive and accommodating, provided recommendations and knew the menu well. He’s been a waiter for 15 years there and we look forward to seeing him every time.

    Pricey. But food is consistently delicious. Hamburger, Caesar with chicken, prime rib were all delicious, as was the soup of the day. Service was excellent. We sat in window with sunset/golf course view. Nice.

    Superb meal last night: steelhead trout and my husband had gnocchi that was also superb. Wait staff is exceptional. We thoroughly enjoy dining at the Lodge. Fran and Larry Heaton

    I haven't been to the Lodge in over two years, before the Covid pandemic. I was shocked at how high the prices were, not to mention one of my favorites was not even on the limited menu. I actually chose from the Pub/bar menu. Maybe that was why we were virtually the only ones eating in the dining room. Being a long time local I guess I'll never get used to the current dining costs which now seem to be more in line with the elite tourists. And the Lodge used to e one of my favorite dining spots.

    Service was outstanding! The burger was very good as usual. The new ravioli was very good as well. The latest version of the skirt steak was excellent--even better than before. The short rib was good, but the previous version, with copious amounts of demi-glace, was better. The restaurant was very quiet, since there were very few diners.

    Great service. Great wine. But not the food! Both our entrees were dried out and not worth the high dining pricing. Manager was very professional and nicely comped both our dinners. Tiny desert serving was tiny for a big price. It had been several years since we were at the lodge and wanted to try it again. We were not impressed then either They definitely need an upgrade in the dining experience.

    The Lodge is our go-to fine dining restaurant in Truckee. The food is always excellent and the service is as well. In warmer months, the outdoor deck is a beautiful place to dine and relax. In cooler months, the cozy and comfortable indoor areas have a lovely mountain chic decor. Staff are always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The menu changes seasonally and has something for everyone.

    Server did a great job--friendly and attentive to our needs. Chef was on his game. It's a really nice and convenient restaurant and we will continue to support it as we have since the day it opened, but the pricing is beyond what it should be.

    Food was disappointing. 9 ravioli for $36 was the best part of meal. The fish tacos were bad. Fish overcooked. Used to be great. Sorry to say that with such limited choices and this last experience, Lodge no longer on our list of go to’s.

    The ambience is not great. It feels more like a sports bar than a high end restaurant. Our server was undertrained. Our starter was served with our entree, and when I said that was unexpected, the server said she thought that was how we wanted it since we ordered the starter after ordering our entree. I told her she should clarify next time, and she said that it was literally her third shift and she was still learning her job. Clearly more training is necessary. We asked to have the starter boxed up since we weren't going to eat it after our main course as one would have been cold by the time the other was finished. My meal was good, my husband's was so-so. We both thought the ambience was disappointing considering this is touted as a high-end experience, with prices to match. Sadly, even though the food was reasonably good, we probably won't be back.

    We’ve eaten at the Lodge many times and always enjoy it. This time, my husband enjoyed his spicy octopus appetizer and Caesar salad. My braised short rib, which has always been excellent, was a disappointment. The mashed potatoes came in an ice cream scoop with several hard, under-cooked pieces, there was very little sauce and the accompanying “crispy” brussel sprouts” were soggy and limp. The server was attentive and pleasant, but forgot that my husband ordered chicken on his salad and it took 20 minutes to correct. Hopefully this was a one time glitch.

    Made reservations in advance for live music, for my birthday. I’ve been here for years, with multiple fun special occasions with my boyfriends family or friends. We’ve had some of the best servers I’ve ever met. And the server the night I went on august 18th was also perfect. However he was set up for failure when the front doesn’t communicate correctly. We we’re told we would get a very romantic and fun seat near the music on the top patio. Days in advance I called twice to make sure the seat would be saved to make my day special! Paul set it up, which we met last time we all went and spend a pretty penny. However with weather conditions the way they were, the outside patio had to close both on bottom and top. The like music was near the bar, so that took away the chance for me to have a romantic fun night. However we we’re optimistic that we’d still have a seat. When we got a call two bad half hours before our reservation from Paul, we were told he found us a great seat. I specifically asked for three things: to not be right in front of the entrance, a window seat, and if no live music the two requests need to be a top priority. I got zero of the three things I was promised over the phone. When we walked in the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. She sat us at a horrible located table, and said “that’s what you get there no other room” when I asked to sit near the window seat which was clearly open. After another couple came in and sat at the window seat I was upset to find out they came to only order drinks and no dinner nor special occasion, in which they even said out loud “wow a window table we didn’t even have to reserve that!” To top it off Paul was no where to be found until I complained multiple times to different staff and my amazing server. After the couple finally decided to move to the bar for music, Paul made his appearance and said “now we can move you to a window seat after your appetizers” however I find it ironic that it even had to get to this…

    Fried chicken sandwich was the best I have had in many years! Cauliflower soup was flavorful and came to the table nice and hot. Our server Lauren was friendly, professional and efficient. Martinis were of a decent size and priced at 18$ each.

    We always come back to the Lodge, for the food & ambience. Sitting out on the patio overlooking the First Tee as the sun sets: it doesn't get much better than that. PS our favorite is no corkage wednesday!

    This was a "fine" evening. Stuck in the overflow room which has zero ambiance -- they were very busy, mid-summer Thursday night after a Junior golf tournament. Wine was great. Fish tacos too.
