The cuisine at Lincoln Ristorante blends precise technique with the ingredients and comforting feel of an Italian kitchen. We rely on local farmers and purveyors along with weekly visits to our neighborhood Tucker Square Green Market, while importing the essential items (Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes) from Italy that are irreplaceable.

I am not sure our service could have been any better. The food was great and well presented (I had the lamb shank and my GF had the ravioli) but the service was some of the best I ever had anywhere.
We live in your neighborhood and this has always been a favorite dining place for us. However, last Sat.’s dinner was very disappointing. Our drink order not only took a very long while but all 4 of the drinks were wrong!! There were no apologizes made by the person who brought the incorrect drinks. She was awkward and didn’t know what to say! The appetizers were excellent. The bread was excellent. Two of us liked our meal ( salmon); two of us didn’t. ( seafood risotto and beef tenderloin). We did not have dessert.
In spite of the many people taking care of our table, we had to ask for salt and pepper, and there was a long wait between the appetizers and our dinners.
But the worst that happened was that someone took away my drink that I hadn’t finished — without asking me!!! I know I probably should have said something, but I was so annoyed by this time that I didn’t want to make a scene.
I also think there should be the option of ordering only one course and not only a prix fixe. Not everyone likes to eat a huge amount.
Magnificent, friendly staff serving wonderful food in a beautiful room. Do as we did; go early before the theater (or opera) and enjoy an elegant, leisurely dinner before the curtain. Take the time to enjoy life!
Excellent service and the food was very good. We had a booth which allowed to talk.
Once again lunch at Lincoln was absolute perfection from the amuse bouche to the petti four at the end and everything in-between. Not to mention the price fixe is an amazing value. Would recommend this highly to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience without all the pretention that sometimes comes with it. Perfect for any special occasion.
Great service. Food was outstanding and ambience very conducive for business conversations.
Very elegant ambience ! Beautiful glass windows -- really enjoyed it
A special restaurant for special occasions! Everything was delicious, and service was superb!
I have been to Lincoln several times and always wonder why I go back. The food is not exceptional by any stretch of the imagination. It is very over priced for what it is. The service is good but a bit treacly. Overdone. I did notice that the restaurant was far from crowded and it was lunch time on a Wednesday before a matinee at Lincoln Center Theaters. Very disappointing.
At Lincoln Ristorante, everything is as it should be ... impeccable service ... creative and innovative cuisine. Flawless presentation, beginning to end. A gem.
What a great experience! I’m vegan and there was nothing I could eat on the menu and our server, Oliver was incredible. He had the kictchen make adjustments for me and I ended up having the most delicious pasta & vegetable dish. My friend was also impressed with my restaurant selection- she loved her meal and the wine Oliver paired with her dish selections! A must go to!!!
Great pre-theater option. Food good. Service attentive and quick. Quiet enough to have a conversation. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Perfect for dining before heading to the Met. Wait staff was on point, and the food was delicious.
Would prefer OpenTable advised we would be limited to the pre-theater menu. We would have come a half hour later.
I always love Lincoln but I have to say I loved it a little less this time. Some uneven service and uneven food. It was certainly good but I was surprised that it misssd the mark a bit.
We were very excited to try Lincoln Ristorante for the first time, but were extremely disappointed. The service was absolutely horrible for a restaurant at this level. Servers were very rude, slow and not attentive at all. Most of the food was also a very bad quality (and way over priced). My appetizer was so bad that I could not eat any of it. No one at a table of 5 could finish a single dessert due to them being so bad. We did not even want to take any of it home. Save yourself the trouble and a lot of money by going across the street to one of the much better restaurants, like Boulud Sud (the comparison of the two is like night and day). I will never return to Lincoln Ristorante and expect it will not be open much longer unless they get their act together.
It was delightful. We could actually have a conversation. Food and service was perfect.
Excellent food and service. First time going and would definitely go back. Every served ingredient is cooked excellently.
Great place for dinner and so reasonable price for foods and drinks.
I would eat here each and everyday if I could.
The location is great for Lincoln Center Theatre.
The ambiance is lovely.
Service is great.
Food pretty poor: no real salads; main courses served without vegetables!!
Very attentive staff. One in our party was lactose intolerant and they came up with wonderful suggestions for her as well as substituting small things like the bread basket and h'or d'ouvres.
Everything was perfect. Service was perfection.
After a period of mediocre dining experiences Lincoln has stepped up to the plate again. Excellent inventive food and excellent service
Wonderful food, amazing service. Beauriful room.
Dining here was a terrific experience. The service was excellent. The food was terrific. We felt like a valued customer.
Our server, Carrie was wonderful, she was friendly, helpful and just overall terrific.
Second dinner at Lincoln and both times the meals were wonderful. We had a corner table looking out onto the plaza and we were entertained by a young man in costume doing flips. We all choose the 3 course prix fixe, three had filet and one had fish, all were beautifully prepared and presented all at once. We were done in plenty of time for our show. Expensive but a very nice dining experience.
Although the food was very good, fresh and well prepared, there are so many places in the city where you can get excellent meals for a lot less money. Even factoring in the lovely ambience enhanced by tables set further apart than most, the cost of the price fixe was too high for me think of it as other than a place for a very special event in which case I would choose other expensive restaurants. In addition although there was an attentiveness by the captain (?) it felt perfunctory and forced rather than relaxed and genuine.
Delicious meal, exceptional service and delightful ambiance! The space is airy and charming. Great for a romantic evening or a special occasion. Nice bar scene too. Worth the $$. I highly recommend!!
A huge disappointment!
Cocktails and appetizers were excellent but after that it all went downhill!
And the restaurant wasn’t ever full! But the poor service and inaccurate meals were the orders of the night!
Very reliable, never disappoints. Perfect combo of great food, expert service and exquisite atmosphere. Expensive but worth it!
This is our fifth or sixth visit to Lincoln Ristorante, and sadly, things have changed. It was a most convenient place to go before or after an event at Lincoln Center, and in the past the prices were reasonable ($20-30 for an entree, say) and the service both attentive and pleasant. On this visit, the prices were much higher ($10-15 per primi and secondi) and the service less than attentive. Staff were pleasant, but not to be found, and I often saw people rushing about. I suspect that there were not enough staff to cover the tables. It's a shame, really, because it was a go-to place, but no longer. I don't think I'll go back. The food was good, but not exceptional, and certainly not worth the price.
Really good food, very nice people, and a helpful and knowledgeable sommelier, tempered slightly by a couple of glitches. Despite being ten minutes early for our 8:00 PM reservation, we were seated ten minutes late because "your table is being set up". In reality, the restaurant was 2/3 empty because the theater crowd had just left. Instead, it looked to us that they simply were not ready to seat us yet, to avoid there a flood of simultaneous orders. I don't need the smile and the story: just be truthful. Two of our three main courses came out tepid. We sent one back, but I had a seafood risotto, and was afraid the seafood would come back overcooked, or much later, so I ate it not hot enough.
The service was so disappointing, which was very unusual at this restaurant. It took more than 30 min to take our orders because of a few issues: a) When we were seated at 7:30, it was the time to change the menu from Pre-theater to ala cart. It took more than 15 min to give us the menu; b) The person who took the drink menu could not handle the food menu and we had to wait some time to get served; and c) the waitress for our table was so busy chatting with the customers at the next table to us and we had to wait more. Finally the waitress took our order, it was after 8. Adding to this annoyance is the waitress’ attitudes: When we decided to have “light” foods by ordering a few appetizers because it’s after 8 pm, the waitress said to us “ these are not “meals””. We had to confirm to her we understood what we are ordering. I usually have a very enjoyable time at this restaurant but last weekend experience was very irritating to say the least.
Friendly staff. Attentive. Excellent food.
Excellent bread. Somewhat pretentious sommelier. Allowed a relaxed pace even though I couldn’t get a later reservation than 4:30 and had 8:00 ballet. Worked out fine. Will return.
Service was seamless!
Such a lovely setting - worth going to even for drinks whether going to Lincoln Center or not. The service was kind and professional - I didn’t like the cocktail I ordered and it was whisked away and replaced with no discussion and no charge. Perhaps a tad expensive for the quality of the food. Overall, a lovely meal in a lovely venue.
We ate AFTER the curtain had gone up on the various venues at Lincoln Center. A relaxing, unhurried ambiance, first class ingredients, fine preparation and service. All in all, a lovely restaurant experience.
