Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life.



Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor.



The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish.



We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

    The she crab soup was very good. The shrimp appetizer was excellent...not too spicy but just right for my wife. I had the grouper sandwich which was good but very small The buns being used by many restaurants these days are becoming more like slider servings than entree servings. A huge serving of fries helped fill me up.

    Had a very nice lunch. The She crab soup was delicious, light and flavorful. Grouper sandwich and fries very good. Others had a salad with grilled shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Server was attentive and personable.

    Our party had Shrimp & Grits, Tuna Tacos, Salmon and Grilled Grouper Sandwich - everything was tasty and preparation was perfect. Great gluten-free options too.

    A casual restaurant with a small menu. Food was good, but we were taken aback by the price of the dessert. We ordered one order of flourless chocolate cake to share. The cost was $12, and it wasn't even that good. Too rich. Otherwise, we were pretty satisfied. Before you order dessert, always ask the price.

    This restaurant in a Nice location, super near of everything. I ordered the salmon with balcon and grits (amaizing) and my husband the tuna tartar (low quantity - didnt like). Regard the service it was ok, nothing special.

    Food was excellent. Our waiter. Michael, was very helpful with meal choices as well as sharing about charleston itself. He instructed my husband on the art of the oyster shooter. He taught me how to shoot a video on my phone so I could document the event. Prices were typical for the area.

    Oysters had a lot of grit—badly shucked. Mussels were very light on seasoning in the sauce. She Crab soup was too thin and had bits of shell. Fish sandwich was boring and needed seasoning. Service was great.

    The mussels and bread were a perfect appetizer. Husband got the seafood platter and I got the shrimp and grits. Both had huge pieces so we got super full quick and the waitress was super nice! Highly recommend!

    Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Amen Fish + Raw Bar. We chose the fresh catch of sauteed grouper, which was perfectly prepared by Chef Jeremiah. Our server, Kevin, was knowledgeable, attentive, and a delight all on his own. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal.

    Lovely place for lunch after sightseeing. Great oysters, terrific shrimp on a stick, hush puppies were delicious and the she-crab soup was outstanding. Highly recommended!

    Another amazing experience. Oysters in both taste and selection were amazing. Service was warm and prompt. Catch-of-the-day was the best swordfish I've had in a long while. Hushpuppies did not disappoinmt.

    Everything was OK until cockroaches appeared. It was quite the ordeal until the dinner next to us squashed one. We were comped 10% of the bill, however 90% of the bill was still too much for such a disgusting experience

    Oysters were so small, I thought my husband ate the oysters I chose! Hush puppies were small dense and dry, we didn’t eat them. The shrimp and fried oysters were very good. Overall I would not go back. Too many great restaurants in Charleston to eat. I would not recommend to my family or friends.

    Blackend Mahi Mahi was very good, along with the Oysters..catch of the day was Swordfish when we were there. My husband didn't care for the pickled vegetables it came with, but an overall good meal and experience.
