We love this restaurant and is our No. 1 choice for our anniversary. The food was excellent! We had oysters which were so fresh! Staffs were polite and attentive. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

Food was great! We felt rushed throughout the dinner which was frustrating since we were there to celebrate our anniversary. As I was asking the waiter a question my appetizer plate with food still on it was cleared. Our waiter seemed annoyed and wasn't great at recommending a bottle of wine with our meal choices. I was expecting a bit more of a dining experience vs order - eat- leave.

Excellent celebration dinner for a big birthday. The food and ambience was excellent - sitting outside on a warm September evening by the water. Noise level good, service efficient and knowledgeable and the team did a great job in serving and surprising with a Cake we had brought with us. It all went really well and seamlessly with great support from the server and team

Outstanding dining experience! This was a business meeting and was the perfect location to have a lovely meal and conversation. The staff was delightful, very helpful in menu selection. The staff was appropriately attentive, meaning they were right there when we needed a beverage refill, ready to order etc., but did not hover or try to rush us out of there. I would absolutely reccomend L'Escale.

The food at L'Escale was as delicious as always. The prix fixed lunch was perfect and the tuna nicoise and chicken paillard was prepared better than ever. This is our favorite restaurant.

Beautiful Restaurant with Gorgeous views of the canal period the food was delicious, my favorite was the filet minon. The staff was very careful and pleasant. We celebrated a birthday and had a wonderful time. We will definitely be returning.

Thanks to Lenny and the entire team for a great lunch. Perfectly peaceful on the water, all of the courses were incredible and the truffle fries were like an extra dessert. Special thanks to the valet team who always create both an easy welcome and seamless departure.

Reserved our dinner time four days in advance. We were given the choice of outside or inside. When we chose outside, there were at least 30 tables that were in shade and had fans above. We were so excited. However, the hostess turned and seated us in direct sunlight with no fans in a separate section of the restaurant. It was deliberate and quite rude. As the dinner went on, we watched the shaded and fanned-in area remain open. The food was delicious, drinks were amazing, and the staff in the bar was immaculate. It's a shame that we were treated this way despite paying so much for an evening out.

We very much enjoyed our experience here. The restaurant is beautiful and romantic: terra cotta tiles, beautiful bouquets of flowers, soft lighting; the music was lovely Spanish guitar and some 1920s easy jazz. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and helpful: the first filet mignon was overdone, and he saw it immediately and was hugely apologetic and returned it to the kitchen for a new one. The drink menu is fun though I'd have wished for a few more choices mixed with bourbon or whiskey (most were tequila- or vodka-based). The bartender was really friendly and seemed to enjoy answering my questions about the whisky brands they carried. The oysters and shrimp were fresh, cold and delicious, with a lovely mignionette and a horseradish-forward cocktail sauce. The filet mignon was perfect the second time it was brought out, and the little torchon of foie gras was outstanding, but the fried potatoes tasted like the oil they were fried in. The fettuccine fra diavolo with lobster was just okay: not spicy or saucy enough, in my opinion - nothing about it really stood out except that the noodles were perfectly cooked. We ordered a side of mushrooms and a side of fries, both of which were excellent. We had the molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream and the ricotta doughnuts for dessert. The lava cake was pretty generic and the ice cream was icy and not at all rich or creamy. The doughnuts, however, made up for everything - steaming, fluffy, crisp on the outside, with an intensely flavored raspberry sauce and a tasty chocolate sauce. For us at their price point, this is a special-occasion restaurant. We would gladly come celebrate here again.

My wife and I went for lunch to celebrate our 31st Anniversary. Although we have been in the place before, every time is a different greater experience. The food is great, the service is superb, and the ambience is perfect for a romantic celebration.
