Zero Zero opened in 2010 inspired by Chef Bruce Hill’s dedication to farm driven ingredients, combined with his love for wood-fired pizzas that have been nicknamed “Calipolitan”. Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle named us the French Laundry of upscale pizza, and the readers of 7x7 Magazine voted us “Best Pizza in San Francisco”. I always enjoy the food, this time our usual go to Roman dumplings with pork belly and Brussel sprouts, but tried the rigatoni with duck confit and the poke which were excellent. The service was very good, the noise level (which is my usual quibble with this restaurant) not to high this time for some reason. Zero Zero is a consistently satisfying restaurant.

We were in the city for my wife's birthday and did dinner at Zero Zero. The food was excellent! The pizza was so good and good sized as well. The pasta was delicious, the make it there! And the service was extremely fast. The restaurant was full, but we had our food 15 minutes after we sat down!

We had a good pizza here. Nice crispy crust, thin, good flavors on the various pies we ordered. Salads/apps were ok. Nothing special. Service was attentive. It was solidly good forgot what it was— not fancy, but a good pizza.

It's been years since I've dined at Zero Zero. This latest time I went, I was extremely disappointed. The pizza and pasta were mediocre while the prices were outrageous. I can get cheaper and far more delicious at Delarosa. I think I will be opting out of Zero Zero from now on!

Awesome service, very friendly We had the stone fruit salad and arancini to start. Absolutely presented well and delish The Fillmore pizza was thin crusted but with lots of cheese. We loved it and took half home Great root beers from local beer brewery Devils Canyon

I found Zero Zero online. Saw the great reviews so decided to try it out for a pre-theater meal. It was friendly, quick & great quality service, food & cocktails. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant made a mistake with our reservation and would not give us a table (even though I had an email confirmation from Open Table). The host was very rude to us and would not seat us. We ended up in the bar and thought the food and the rest of the staff were great.

Had a really good meal. Service was friendly and they were very accommodating for the kids. Restaurant was busy but not buzzy since it was Sunday evening, lit of family groups. Had the poke appetizer and Caesar salad. Very delicious, esp Caesar. Kids margherita pizza was perfect with very delicious crust. Had pappardelle with Dungeness crab. Was soooo good. Perfect flavors and generous portions. Dessert portion were actually too big so make sure you share. Good night out after Christmas shopping.

Food was good but not particularly unique and felt very expensive for what it was. My husband got the poke appetizer which he said was delicious. I don’t think I’d go back even though there was nothing wrong other than the cost.

We’ve visited twice in November and several times last year. Each visit is consistent; cozy, friendly, efficient but unrushed. The margherita pizza is spot on and the salads are well built. Wine by the glass always interesting and well above ‘average’. A real neighborhood gem.

Highly recommend the Taleggio Stuffed Arancini! I have not tried the other appetizers. All of the pizzas are great - the crust is crispy & flavorful. They have a great mix of complex & delicious handcrafted cocktails. This is a cozy spot, but is great for a date OR a large group! It is a bit noisy inside.

Excellent pizza and relatively fast service. While the pizza is fairly pricey ($18 for a Margarita), as a pizza lover that has sampled some of the best in New York, Italy and the Bay Area, I would rate it in the top three of all I have tried in the Bay Area.

The pizza is Awesome!!! The drinks were way over priced . A margarita for $17 and it was in a small water glass . Not really cool. Everything else was great . Our server was quick and awesome .

Fantastic pizza! My husband is Italian so I know good pizza. Zero zero does an outstanding job with their pizza. Among the best in the Bay Area. The vegetable appetizers are also outstanding. Great experience all around!

I had the very inventive salad with Chinese and snap peas, radishes, arugula, panzanella, and pea pesto. So delicious! My husband's pizza was likewise very flavorful, with a great thin crust. Yummy casual dining.

Visited Zero Zero after LuLu closed down and was pleasantly surprised with the interesting and varied faire. Definitely Gourmet, light thin crust pizza was exceptional, as was the Tuna appetizer. My wife and I loved it!

Started with a negroni and hamachi appetizer, both very good. Then we shared a salad and a pizza, again very happy with the food. Service was top notch too. It was a little on the pricey side. They have a decent list of wines by the glass. My only complaint was how noisy and crowded it was, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back

The pizza at Zero Zero never disappoints. Even with new chefs coming through, the staples of their menu (arrancinis!) are always consistent. The special pizzas are creative and delicious, the staff is super warm and friendly, and the soft-serve build-your-own sundaes top off a meal perfectly.

Had dinner here Saturday night with our teenage kids a friend and her teenagers. Service was really solid. Pizza's were honestly really good and we had a great caesar salad. Not easy to please a bunch of teenagers - but everyone was happy and we got in and out on time. This place is always consistently good, and go to for our family.

I've been coming to Zero Zero since it opened. It used to be one of my favorite spots in SOMA. Over the last 2 years I have experienced the service level to deteriorate. On more than one occasion the hostess has been outright rude; the service has been slow and the servers have not been attentive at all. Not sure what's going on but there are too many other good options to keep coming back here.
