   The food was very good, we ordered the salt and vinegar chips and deviled eggs to start and both were delicious and a little unexpected. I had the BBC salad with chicken and gooseberries, my friend had the cauliflower steak which she enjoyed.

   Meal was fantastic. Truffle mushroom toast was delicious as was the wagyu brisket. Meyer lemon pavlova! Service was amazing - thanks Brysin! 2nd time and will be back ngotta try the rooftop patio!

   Fantastic as always! They were able to accomodate a large party of 12ppl & we always receive incredible services. The food is delicious & our vegetarian friends were very happy with the selection.

    The place was cold and then people arrived and it was so loud!!! The cocktails were good, the lamb shank nice and creamy. The truffle fries soggy and tasteless. We asked for a little bit of privacy because we needed to have a conversation but we kept on being interrupted until I asked the waiter to just stop coming until we asked them to. There is a difference between being attentive and hovering. Nothing amazingly good, nothing terrible except for the fries. We left earlier than planned just to get out.

    When we walked in we were greeted nicely but given incorrect information. We were told they had happy hour at the bar only. We moved to the bar and the bartender curtly said. “We don’t have Happy Hour” . So we had to move back to our table to order food. We ordered margarita’s hot and they weren’t. When we returned them she was angry. Our second round was severely delayed and we had to ask what happened to three drink order as we had our food and no drinks. Then they brought incorrect drinks again. BTW the restaurant was literally empty. The appetizers were decent. The ahi poke has excellent flavors and is served on a seaweed salad with lovely sesame cream dressing, the shishito Peppers were a generous portion and cooked perfectly, the Brussels sprouts stood out due to the excellent balsamic onions in the dressing. The dinner menu was all over the place in selection making it very confusing as to what type of food the chef was featuring. It certainly was not British! We left before ordering when the wait staff actually told us that they did not know what culture was being featured at The British Bankers Club. We would not go again.

    We'd been to BBC several Christmases before in their upstairs dining balcony - it has always been a special experience and worth the price. This time I called to specify the balcony before we got there and was told sure -- but when we arrived we were told it was closed. The staff was very kind but if we'd known in advance we'd have gone elsewhere. The downstairs just isn't a particularly elegant environment, and the service was kindly but a little odd, with drinks coming out after the first course, plates being cleared and offers of doggy bags while some of us were still eating. If the price tag weren't so huge and it weren't a special occasion (Christmas) this wouldn't matter. But it was a huge price tag for what was basically a steakhouse atmosphere. The appetizers and desserts were really good, though. Probably our last Xmas outing there.

    A great local restaurant. An extra treat was that it was open on Christmas Day. The whole family enjoyed their meals.

    We ate outdoors because of COVID vulnerability. The wait staff was very attentive and everyone enjoyed their food including the person who got a take home order. Prices are high, but food quality is very good. Low noise since we were outdoors with heaters.

    The food was really good, drinks were good too! Service was quick, and easy. I was bummed though because we had originally planned to eat on the roof top, but we were told it was closed when we arrived. There isn’t anywhere on their website or reservations page that mentions the roof top being closed. In general, this is a fun little semi casual spot in Menlo Park to enjoy a yummy drink & dinner. I would say this does not makes it on our top 10 fav spots in the Bay Area though.

    All in all a really nice place with a beautiful christmas ambiance and excellent and fun service. The food and drinks were delicious. We chose to share a few courses on or table. This is the second time my friends and I had our Christmas party dinner here, and we will definitely be back! One negative thing is that it’s quite cold inside the restaurant, so you should bring a shawl or a warm cardigan with you, but hopefully the staffs could turn up the heat a bit.

    Worst possible outage with wife. She ordered the salmon I ordered the Calamari - it was hard and seemed like it was not fresh. The salmon was overcooked. We went into this restaurant to have dinner and the staff treated us like they didn't want to serve us at 8:45pm when the kitchen closes at 9:00pm. Will not be back and we live locally (in Menlo Park).

    Our second visit and again it did not disappoint. Each dish we ordered was delicious. Our group kept sharing each others dishes cause they just had to be tried. The filet and lamb shank were main course highlights. The atmosphere is perfect for a couple or groups. We’re already plotting our next visit.

    Our waitress was terrible. We had to wave her down multiple times throughout the evening to get a drink, order more food, etc. The service was very slow, and the food was mediocre at best. The only person who provided good service was the busboy who regularly filled our water glasses. I went with a group of colleagues and suggested the place and was embarrassed I chose it due to the mediocre food and bad service. I will never return, and neither will anyone else in our group.

    The food was great! We were a large party (and there were 4 other large parties at the same time) so there was a delay in a few of the dishes but the server made up for it. We all said we’d come back. We really enjoyed the food and drink.

    Wish I could rate this place higher! The food was excellent (great value), drinks were well made, and the decor was lovely. But the service was really above and beyond. Our server, Matthew, and the manager were both extremely helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole night. Will be returning!

    Great menu. The food was well prepared and tasty! 90 dollars for two for a selzer water, an appetizer, a single salad and two entrees was okay. The wait staff were very attentive.

    I was slightly concerned by seeing some of the reviews. But I decided to roll with it and have a businee dinner. British Bankers Club didn't disappoint. The food was great and the service was great. No complaints. I'll definitely go there again.

    The service was really poor. We arrived to the table at 7:10 pm and ordered approximately around 7:20. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer, but didn’t get either until 8pm only after I complained. I noticed all the other tables at the same issue. The table over from us was so fed up that he just went to the bar to get the drinks himself. While out waiter was apologetic it was unacceptable that this type of restaurant and the amount we were paying. At the end only 2 discounted drinks. We will never be going back.

    I've been to BBC three times this year. The first time was great, as the Rooftop was open. I was so impressed to have such a modern big city rooftop experience in the suburbs that I told many friends to come and revisit the BBC. The second time, the food was amazing and we sat outside. This third time, it was chilly outside so we ate inside. The food was very good, but the server needed some serious training. He didn't know how to set the table. He opened the Chappellet wine at the bar and brought it over and left it for us as if we were at a picnic. I went ahead and served myself. He then interrupted us three times while we were talking and when I said politely that I'd let him know if we wanted dessert, he sulked and ignored us the rest of the evening. Please provide some service training to your staff. It's disappointing to spend top dollar at a lovely restaurant with delicious food and then have a poor experience with your waitstaff. Thank you for requesting my feedback.
