Everything is wonderful. People love the fatoosh salad, the eggplant fries, the salmon and the pigs in mud (chocolate) dessert. Vegetable tagine is perfect for vegetarians.

We had a reservation , waited and had to watch a large party leave the restaurant , waitstaff flipping the tables , removing dirty dishes, setting new dishes etc all while I wondered why we were waiting and not seated at the empty, clean, set up table directly behind this production…. All that so we can be placed , party of 4 , at the front door and in the middle of a busy walkway. When I asked if we could have the table that was ready all along the hostess said that the table was set for 5 . Fast forward 20 minutes , a party of 4 sits at the table that we asked but was told no , its set for 5. The rest of the experience was good but would have been wonderful if they could have honored my time and my simple request for a more comfortable table after such a long wait.

We went on Father’s Day for dinner. The place was hoppin! Lot’s of regulars, families, young people and young at heart folks too. Even though it was very busy the staff was calm, friendly and very professional. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun going out to dinner. They treat everybody like VIP’s.

They need better service. Lunch was extremely slow and disjointed. We had a reservation, they should have been better prepared/staffed.

There were 4 of us celebrating a birthday! We sat in a booth that we requested which was private and away from the action. We ordered the eggplant fries and the mezza plate as appetizers. Both were delicious. Two of us ordered the lamb and two of us ordered the vegetable tangine. Both were skillfully prepared and presented so we could share. The food was generous and very good. Service was prompt the wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Great experience !

What stands out for me with this restaurant is the consistently excellent service. The food is always terrific, but these days it's not so easy to find a wonderful service experience. And, unlike lots of restaurants these days, the music was very low key -- not blaring. My friend even asked our server if the air conditioning could be turned down a bit -- and it happened! Can't recommend this experience enough!

Food never disappoints. Varied menu at reasonable prices. The servers are very attentive. For a birthday celebration, we even got a decorated latte from the barista!

The food continues to be exquisite here--so interesting, unique and flavorful with middle eastern fusion influences. Our favorite restaurant in Marin. Unfortunately they removed the lovely outdoor seating area on the side of the building, so now the only outdoor seating is in front, where it feels somewhat dark and cramped. We don't eat indoors--we'd go more often if the outdoor ambiance was nicer.

OMG! Our meals were outstanding. We've always loved going to Insalatas because of the food, ambience, and service but tonight was extraordinary. My steak was so full of flavor that I never got around to sharing bites with anyone. Our guests also loved their entrees. We four shared hummus with our cocktails, which was perfect. We expect great service at Insalata's, but we were greeted with a big warm welcome by wonderful Beth, which started off our evening with such a positive note. Our server was just perfect. She was attentive without interrupting the flow of our evening. We got there early, which was nice, and the restaurant filled up quickly within the following 3-45 minutes, creating a lively vibe. We love that they are open on Monday evenings.
