Our menu honors year-round classical favorites and seasonal specialties from the Veneto region, and our ingredients come from the finest local purveyors. But it's the experience around those elements that really sets the scene.
Being at VENETO is like being a guest in Amy & Marco's home. It's a warm, inviting environment curated with one-of-a-kind antique European furniture and accessories, from the hundreds-year old Italian sofa in the dining room to the marble in the restrooms. We want you comfortable, relaxed, and immersed in Italian culture as you ponder the menu, soak up new knowledge, and enjoy inspired conversation along the way.

Great service, Dinner the way it should be. Take your time and savor the meal and great service
Great food! Everything was excellent and the service was first rate. The noise level, however, was intolerable - very unfortunate.
You can never go wrong with anything you order at Veneto. EVERYTHING is AMAZING!! We have been to many Italian restaurants around town. We always return to Veneto because nothing compares to the quality of food, wine, and service we receive here. This is definitely our FAVORITE place to dine!
Great atmosphere, personalized treatment ..... authentic Italian (I am from Italy myself).
I am particularly in love with their risotto and tagliata with radicchio.
Still, it is always hard to choose since all the items on the menu are spectacular!
Celebrating my 50th birthday
Noise level was terrible by large gathering
Hard to talk
Sweet people served us and gave me a gift
I’d like to try it again
Having just spent a month in Italy, we were looking for a great Italian restaurant, this is the place!!
My wife always has her favorite dish in Florence,Italy at fantastic restaurant called La Giostra, it's a stuffed pear with cheese ravioli and Veneto has the same thing on the menu and she said it was as awesome as in Italy! Veneto also charges a copperto, very similar to Italy, meaning no tipping, of course you can tip if so desire. I highly recommend this place for special evening of fantastic Italian food. 5 star service, food and atmosphere.
We loved this place from beginning to end! (Our first visit.) We were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The seating was quite comfortable and sufficiently quiet (very important to us.) The service was great. The wine list is amazing. The menu is very well composed. We loved our meals, although found the primi piatti (pasta) to be superb relative to the secondi piatti. Our overall dining experience was great. This restaurant is a gift to all who enjoy excellence in dining. We were very grateful for their kind hospitality and delicious, authentic cuisine. We won't hesitate to return and to recommend Veneto to friends.
This was our 4th time at VENETO. All have been excellent. It’s a favorite.
Service was outstanding and the food was very good.
I felt like I was dining with an Italian family. Very warm and inviting.
We will be back.
Dinner was disappointing. While the ambiance was nice, and the wine list was great, we thought the menu was overly complicated, the food only fair and overpriced. Service was spotty.
Excellent wine list...great service...wonderful food. Has never let me down.
Salt Lake City is so fortunate to have Veneto located here. The food is always marvelous and Marco's wines are not to be had elsewhere. I've never had more flavorful and tender Roast Beef con Rucola e Grana Padano. And that was just to start !
Highly recommend! Best wine list town, attentive service, fabulous cuisine. Service in the European style--no tip expected, personal interaction with well-trained staff. Owners make it a point to visit patrons.
The food was fabulous and the service top notch. You want regret a visit to this wonderful gem.
We went for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend
Somehow we missed this 2 year old Italian spot. It is in a charming house in Central City. The atmosphere is lovely, it reminded me of the dearly departed Fresco's. They really get the ambiance right.
But Veneto clearly has ambitions of being fine dining . Given that (and the matching prices) I was disappointed. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was interesting or memorable either. There are many better meals in Salt Lake at this price range (Valter's, Finca, Pago, Martine's).
They need to up their game if they want to compete in this niche.
We had an amazing dinner. A member of the staff met us before we entered the restaurant welcoming us in. The hostess was very polite and informative. Our table was perfect. We will be back.
Excellent service and food. Amazing wine list. Great value for the price. Highly recommended!!
Authentic Italian restaurant , quite and relaxing outdoor dining , great food ! great wine list ! excellent service! ...looking forward to my next dinner !
I love this restaurant. Excellent wine selection, food and service. We go there for special occasions and it never lets us down.
Absolutely perfect evening. Food and wine were superb. Marco (owner) visited our table and was a fantastic host.
Sorry .....made a reservation at the wrong veneto restaurant!!!!
Wanted Scottsdale am.
Was noisy and tight with other diners. Food was great and so was the service.
Delicious and authentic Italian food. Service was impeccable.
We had great hopes for this restaurant, but the service was slow, the entree was not prepared properly and so the chef had to redo it, the salad (tricolor) was just okay and like a trattoria in Italy. No special "signature" bread offered. Ravioli was just average. Sorry, but we won't be back very soon if at all
After seating us, the waitress gave us a brief description of what Veneto strives to be: an authentic Italian restaurant, with good and simple food; it also has the largest wine selection in town. It was a Monday night, which is the night the chef lets his creativity take over (as the waitress put it), and offers limited options from a set menu. We were aware of this and did not mind at all.
We brought our own bottle of wine, but were informed upon arrival that there was a $35 corkage fee. This seemed really pricey, but at the same time we could understand that the restaurant makes a large portion of its profit on its wine. The issue here is that the cheapest wine bottle (either white or red) that Veneto offers is around $50. And worse, there are only a few bottles that are below $65...
We had 6 dishes to share between 2. Two of them were pasta dishes, with freshly made pasta, and were good and flavorful. The other 4 were forgettable. We had two meat dishes, one of them chicken and the other one pork. The chicken was perfectly cooked, but very bland and mediocre. The pork dish contained a balsamic vinegar reduction, which overpowered any other flavors. The tiramisu was pretty terrible.
I have been to many up-market Italian restaurants, including in Italy, and Veneto does not compare at all. Neither in term of taste, or overall experience. So Veneto fails at what it tries to be. The food is very overpriced, and I have eaten much better Italian for much cheaper including in Salt Lake City. So overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Wanted a nice Italian meal at a memorable location to celebrate my girlfriends golden birthday and Veneto did not disappoint! Everything was comfortable, ambiance was perfect, pasta was al dente, and they even provided a special treat for her to take home! Grazié Veneto
We have never been disappointed going to Veneto. When you do not get a lot of date nights and you need to choose where to go wisely, this is the place. The service is fantastic and the food is amazing!
The restaurant is absolutely one of kind in Salt Lake. From the welcome we received upon entering it to receiving the check, the staff makes every effort to make your time the best it can be. I would run out of adjectives on praising the food, they are able to take ingredients and transform them into dishes that look and taste magical. The relaxed pace lets your time become a memorable experience that one wants to repeat again and again. I know I will.
Our first time dining at Veneto, we will be back. Extensive wine menu with fantastic value (doubly so due to a no tipping policy)! The food was a little hit/miss. Peppers appetizer was fantastic as well as the gnocchi and beets. The pork chop was under seasoned and the duck ragú was over salted, together they were awesome, lol.
Had a lovely dinner for two at a pretty table in the corner for my husbands birthday. We ordered two antipasti and two primi courses and a side of roasted peppers, followed by a cheese course. The starters were very generous in size (we thought) and delicious - beet and burrata and the tartar, bigoli with duck Ragu and the seasonal special with peas. My only complaint was the snow peas were past prime and not destringed, but the food was delicious. We tried two bottles of red from the staff suggestions and they paired excellent with the food. And bonus surprise was a take home box of birthday treats. Would def dine again. Smaller, more intimate, authentic and affordable experience than Walter’s.
We loved our experience at Veneto! We’ve eaten here once before and this time was just as good. The wait staff was attentive, the food was amazing and the ambiance was super cozy. We will definitely be going back.
Best restaurant in Utah. I almost want to keep it a secret. Amazing good, amazing staff, amazing experience... every time.
Wanted to love this place. Good, not great, especially for the high price tag. I love, love, love good Italian food, but being from the Northeast I'm used to it. Not trying to sound obnoxious -
its just fact that ridiculous homemade Italian at reasonable prices is everywhere back home. My issue with Veneto that the food just didn't stand out as better than other Utah Italian restaurants. The main difference between your typical kid/family friendly casual places in Utah is that you're getting a much more upscale, slow food vibe at Veneto. Fair enough, just pricy for the experience.
Service was great, friendly and on top of it. Kept our glasses - wine and water - filled. It's a pet peeve when places don't give you enough water so that was much appreciated. Our server checked in on us but was low key and not hover-y. Had suggestions when asked but never tried to sell us on anything.
The cheesy, slightly too loud music and uncomfortable chairs (I'm 5' on a good day and its rare I find a comfortable chair, but my almost 6' husband wasn't comfortable either) were drawbacks and why I gave the ambiance a lower rating.
My husband had a wild game stew polenta dish, I had a red sauce pasta with burrata (both dishes were tasty). We shared a salad (radicchio with walnuts and asiago - just meh) and brought our own bottle of wine for a $35 corkage fee. Given the Utah sized wine pourings (ie: teeny tiny) and that the wine list started at around $50 a bottle, it made the most sense for us. Portions are small. If you have a big appetite and expect a big fat bowl of pasta you're going to want to order a extra course. I literally always have some leftover when eating out but not this time.
Would I go back? Yes. But, as my husband said, he'd like to go when his company wants to take him to dinner on their dime.
The owner took special consideration for our table and really catered to us. There was some disappointment in how small the portions were for the price, but overall it was worth it.
We celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary with Veneto's to relive some of our favorite times and meals from our trips to Italy. The food and ambiance were straight out of Italy and the staff is excellent. They were very helpful in the selection of our meals and wine. The whole evening was everything we were looking for to our celebrate our anniversary. We would highly recommend Veneto's to anyone looking for that authentic Italian meal and atmosphere.
Wow! One of the best meals we’ve ever had. The staff made us feel like family from the moment we walked in the door. Our server, Seth, took excellent care of us and made perfect recommendations. Superb wine list. Not only the best Italian in SLC, as good or better than anywhere we’ve eaten in Italy.
Another amazing dinner at Veneto. As well as the wonderful food especially the monthly menu which on this dinner yielded a pasta dish that I have never had the like of before. Unique ingredients put together with real creativity. It is also the details such as an older white wine by the glass from 2012 that just add that extra something. So much care is taken here on all fronts. This is a special experience that combines neighborhood friendliness with gourmet food and wine.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake City. The food is fantastic and the wine selection is too. We go a couple of times a month!
We had a party of seven for a birthday, and everyone had a marvelous time. The food was absolutely delicious, the wine was perfect, and the service was outstanding. The desserts were gone in minutes. Everyone was so friendly, the ambiance is intimate and feels really authentic. The conversation was lively throughout the restaurant which just felt joyful. Everyone at Veneto made my birthday feel truly special. We can't wait to have another special occasion to go back.
