Blues band in Oyster Bar was great. Noise from throwing dirty dishes into bins behind our table was louder than the music. Booth near bar.
The food was delicious. The service outstanding! The only complaint was they sat us next to a large group who were quite loud. I found it funny after one of them ate 3 plates of crab legs, she then called the manager over to complain about the smell of the crab legs.
Overall great dining experience. As stated the service was awesome and the food excellent! Thanks for a great birthday celebration.
Really enjoyed the Sunday brunch, great selections
The King crab is delicious. The selection of food is perfect. My family always enjoys having brunch here as a treat.
It’s ok. Some prices are way up high. The food is so so.
great place to celebrate our Anniversary
Food was amazing. When back in Chicago, we will most definitely visit again.
Fantastic seafood. Went there for my birthday with my wife. Great shellfish (as the name implies). We had oysters, which were served with a frozen mignonette that was amazing, a stone crab claw, a Caesar Salad with white anchovies, clam chowder, and my wife enjoyed the Acapulco Maki roll with tuna, masago, jalepeno, avocado, and cilantro. Fantastic. I had Surf and Surf. Lobster and red crab. Perfectly prepared, super high quality.
After the meal, the waiter (excellent waiter) plunks a chunk of Key Lime Pie on the table and says "Try a bite, if you don't likeit, we'll bring you something else". By the time he got back the pie was gone. Best Key Lime pie ever.
The service level, the execution, the ambience, the ingredient quality are all top notch. It's not cheap, but it shouldn't be. There is a reason they've been around forever. I can't believe it took me this long to try it out. I'll be back....
Everything was very good. I have been a customer for years! Love that Andy's is right next door too!!
Terrific food and great service. Seafood that can't be beat, but do pay attention to the wait-staffs suggestions.
Always excellent and fun. Today especially good because of the staff at our table William who was so cheerful and helpful that the lunch tasted even better than usual. Thanks to the general manager who was also cordial and kind
Best seafood. Proper wait staff, consistently good!
The food and service were exceptional. We will definitely be going back!
We visit Shaw's often, brought my sister and 90 year old mother-unfortunately, we were sat in the side bar area which was nice in a big booth, but it was freezing the whole time from the windows with a draft. Not sure if the windows are just old or if just no heat in that area and if course it was chilly out that night. The food was good as usual, but this ended up ruining our experience. Our fault we did not say anything-next time will!! Still like Shaw's and would recommend
My wife just received good news about her Stage 4 Rare Renal Cell Kidney Cancer... she is beginning to improve and lymph nodes shrinking. It has been some tough months. Her faith in God and determination including immunotherapy are working.
We wanted to celebrate together w/Shaw’s. Since we moved to Florida two years ago, we are not able to drive over..., when we get to Chicago for meetings, family & business, we will be at Shaw’s. Pedro was the Best Server and my highest Compliments to Dillon Peterson, Manager of Shaw’s establishment. What a gentleman and a the kind gesture he did for my wife. I also had two of my managers experience their first dinner at Shaw’s. They were impressed.

Always my go to place to take friends who come to Chicago for business or pleasure. Never fails to impress!
Best seafood in Chicago!
My filet was cooked perfectly! Unfortunately my lobster tail was mushy. Staff quickly brought a replacement and checked back frequently to ensure it was to my satisfaction. I think it was a fluke, and the staff handled it beautifully. I do recommend.
The food was good, exceeded my expectation, the clam chowder and pecan pie were definitely the highlight. A tad pricy but i would say it totally worths it
favorite place to eat while in Chicago! The best service and the best food! Thank you
I took my adult son to lunch for his birthday. Our server, Eric, was outstanding! Thanks for such great food and service!
Wait staff was excellent as I had remembered, I have not been to Shaw’s in about 8 years. The food was good but somehow not as good as I remembered. All of our dishes could have been warmer. Our oysters Rockefeller was warm, far from the bubbly cheese that I have received from other high end restaurants.
My go to restaurant when I’m in Chicago. Never miss a chance to go there.
La atención del mesero fue excelente así como las sugeeencias de comida
Overall good but so loud we could nor carry on a conversation. Tables were very close together.
We had a wonderful time at Shaw’s. I highly recommend going there for excellent seafood, steak and service!
Great place to celebrate any event...
Similar to overpriced hotel food. Sloppy presentation. Bartenders who catered to their regulars. Brunch is worth it, dinner is not.
I didn't expect Shaws to have crab cakes with french fries. I expected it to be more high-end. otherwise, the ambiance and taste of the food was great.
Went for my mother’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The ambiance is wonderful and the food amazing! Their king crabs are so good!!!!!
Love Shaw’s! Amazing seafood! Love the service! Everyone is so nice and helpful and the bar side is my favorite
We always come and are never disappointed. Nantucket scallops are the best, and are seasonal. The salads and seafood are amazing. Service is top notch.
Shaw's NEVER disappoints!! We've eaten at Shaw's for over 25 years - from one of our first dates to now, when we ALWAYS take out-of-town guests here for a memorable meal. This time, Kirk, our waiter, directed us to THE BEST New Zealand salmon, done perfectly, as well as a host of terrific oysters. The roasted brussel sprouts were incredibly tasty, too. Even the enormous bowl of raspberries that I had for dessert was juicy and sweet - not a small accomplishment in November. ((We just don't understand why, after ALL these years, OUR pictures aren't up on the walls there!!) (Just kidding, Shaw's. Kind of.)
Absolutely amazing! Food was excellent and our waiter Lauren was superb. Will try to go back and sit at her table every night of our stay if possible. Will make Shaw’s a must do on every visit to Chicago. Thank you!!
Their king crab legs are the best we've ever had. We fly to Chicago just to eat there for our anniversary!
Brunch is phenomenal!!!! Highly recommend!
Shaw's crab house is our special occasion restaurant. We love celebrating at Shaw's brunch and their service is outstanding.
Terrific service, delicious gumbo, nice salad and crab cake combo. It was a great lunch!
Went and sat in the bar side. Music was great and not too loud. Food was amazing, nearly the level i would expect from New England
Shaw ‘s Crab House is the place to be. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. I will definitely be back.
