   Visiting Philly for the weekend with a group of friends. This restaurant was recommended by multiple people and we had a great experience. Our server was excellent. We shared several of the pizzas, they were all delicious and fresh.

   My first time at Barbuzzo and it was a great first impression. While the atmosphere may be too noisy for some, for me it was a great small restaurant with a good focus on what it does-- Spanish and Italian tapas-style food with some larger plates for more traditionally-minded diners. Small but comfortable, warm, and welcoming.

   As for the food, recommend passing on dessert and cappuccino, and cautiously select your pizza. The mushroom pizza (which came highly recommended by our server) had an unusual taste and consistency,probably the result of their “special white sauce”; we weren’t aware of there being a “sauce” until we tasted it, didn’t care for it, and even asked what it was!! (For sure, we knew it was a white pizza…. but a “white” sauce?!) The beet salad, gnocchi and bronzino were very good. The whipped ricotta lacked flavor and the “grilled” bread barely tasted “grilled”. As for dessert, we had the budino which was underwhelming. Similar to our pizza selection, it was recommended (among the 3 offerings, one of which was sorbet). The cappuccino… If a restaurant doesn’t know how to make cappuccino then it shouldn’t be offered. Other than the misses our server recommended for pizza and dessert, he was very good. The level of service/hospitality from the front of the house (hosts and manager) was exceedingly unaccommodating. (We’ve dined at many higher rated restaurants in NYC and Philadelphia who have been far more gracious and appreciative of their patrons.) Far more dining options than to be coming back.

   Barbuzzo has the PHL buzz, which it especially attractive for an out-of-towner to mingle and enjoy the local ambiance at a very high level of culinary performance.     Food was all very good, esp. the arancini. Service was OK; server always seemed like she had better/more important things to do than wait on us. Noise level was excessive, had to yell to be heard across a small two-top.

    Everything was great but the pace. They delivered the food so fast that we were out of there before an hour had passed. Just made our special birthday celebration and a nice night out feel like it was happening on a conveyor belt.

    A staff person was observed frequently eating/tasting food after it had been plated and placed in the pass to be served. The pass is in the dining room and visible to all diners. We observed food begin taken off our plate, tasted and put back on the plate. When we questioned this practice, multiple staff crowded around our table, told us we didn't understand the restaurant industry, and we were told to leave.

    We had such a great experience for Brunch at Barbuzzo. The calabrese wood fired pizza was incredible and they were so nice to make my mom a mocktail from the cocktail list. The ambiance was great. So warm and inviting inside and great energy. They also didn't rush us even though it was packed during brunch. I would definitely come back here again and highly recommend it.

    We had a wonderful lunch at Barbuzzo before a Saturday matinee at WST. We had our favorite Whipped Ricotta and excellent entrees. Service outstanding.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our food. Delicious ! My husband waited a while for his drink… not sure why. The noise level is up there but we got used to it as we settled in. We would ho back!

    We go to Barbuzzo every time we are in the city. It is cozy and the staff is always so nice. We love the food and the drinks are fantastic. The value is great. Can’t wait to get back!

    Dinner tasted great, portion size I wanted more for the price (but that’s just me being picky) Drinks were strong & Amazing! I’ll definitely go back for the Drinks and appetizers. Ambience was great and service was amazing and welcoming.

    I had a lovely Valentine's dinner with my girlfriend here. The food (Mediterranean/Italian) is very good - we got the whipped ricotta, house ground meatballs, uovo pizza, and pan seared gnocchi. For drinks, we got the cider and chardonnay (both were good!). That's honestly a little too much food for two people (we overestimated how hungry we were). Of those, the meatballs and uovo pizza were especially good. Service is amazing - our server was super present and nice, constantly checking in that we are having a good meal. Ambience - candled light at each table with overarching dim light, giving a very nice romantic vibe. My comment with setup would be that the table provides a little too much distance between the us two diners, while still being a little tight in overall space for our drinks and food. It would be nice for the table to be maybe a bit wider while closing the gap between the diners. The tables being in close proximity also means that we hear a lot of surrounding conversations, while having a slightly hard time hearing each other. But the above are honestly minor comments, overall experience was truly wonderful - would recommend :)

    From the moment we stepped in the restaurant, we had a great experience! The ambiance and service were impeccable but the true show stealer was the food. Each dish we ordered for the table was mouth watering, filling, and overall incredible. Would 10/10 go again!

    Food was decent, used to be much better. All items were seeping in oil and overly greasy. The meatballs were good, the sauce more oil than sauce which was horrible. The brussel sprouts had good flavor, but were bathing in oil. Finally, the pizza had pools of oil on top. Please reconsider and reduce the heavy use of oil. The food can be great.

    The food was delicious. The atmosphere was fun. However, the waitress had some attitude so not super friendly, but she was attentive. The big down side was that the first 3 items were delivered and then there was a 30 minute gap before any other food came to the table.

    I really enjoy Barbuzzo and have never had a bad experience until this latest trip. Two of our orders came out very cold while the other two dishes were perfectly hot. The staff was very kind and happily remedied it but it wasn't the birthday dinner I had hoped it would be. I ended up being jealous of my friends dinner and barely touched mine. This is saying I would never go back. The overall vibe is amazing and I think it was just an off night.
