Chicago Cut Steakhouse
Been to many steak houses and this was average. There are several places within a half mile that I consider much better.
What an amazing experience. The food was wonderful. Our service could not have been better. I can't wait to experience the outdoor dining when the weather is warmer. Do not miss this place.
While the starters, steaks and sides were all very good, the wine was served warm. Good thing it was only a $58 bottle of red. Glad I didn't opt for something more pricey.
Great value for breakfast/brunch! Will be back!!
It was an amazing , high end experience and the food was delicious , bill was 405$ for four people . With a drink each and desert plus meals . Great restaurant .
Delicious food but the restaurant is overrated. Tables are tiny and so close that you can hear the conversations others are having.
As always Chicago Cut delivered an outstanding meal! Food was excellent and staff is top notch.
Excellent service and excellent steaks. A perfect steakhouse for a special occasion.
For the price, it was a bit disappointing. The steaks were just okay, nothing special. As soon as the steaks were coming, they took our bread tray away. We felt like we were being rushed throughout. It was our anniversary and they did give us a carrot cake as a dessert gratis, but overall, the experience was just okay.
The ribeyes were delicious, the view is spectacular and Todd was the best waiter we’ve ever had anywhere.
Great food and the best service in Chicago
First time dining with my son. I’ve eaten here a number of times. Always great...but not this time.
Lobster Appetizer was fantastic, we were told our steaks would be out in a bit, and then again told it would be a bit longer and then after I asked we were told the truth.
They burned one of our steaks and had to re-cook both?
Mine was warm at best, sons was fine. Didn’t say anything as I couldn’t wait any longer.
Desert was fantastic. They comped our lobster app fortunately or this review would be far worse.
Chicago Cut; you’ve slipped from number 1 to number 3 for steaks in Chgo and I eat out frequently.
The food and service were great!
49th wedding anniversary. Wonderful experience and the food was great. Just bring lots of money but I bet at the end of the night, you will say it was worth it.
Wonderful lunch! We started with the lobster escargot. It was very rich, buttery, and flavorful. I had a wedge salad that was very good, maybe too many onions but no big deal. We each had a filet for the main course. They were prepared excellently and had lovely char crusts. My friend had a bloody mary and I had water. Lunch was $175 plus tip, so it is not for the faint of heart!
The food was quite unimpressive as compared to steakhouses at the same price point. The noise level made it very difficult to carry on a business conversation. The service was incredible but not enough to overcome the other issues.
Fabulous wait staff and romantic atmosphere, made for a great evening
My friends and i were in town visiting and i read they had king crab and so I chose Chicago cut. I had split a a lb of crab, half wedge salad, hash browns, and Brussel sprouts w the table and three of us ordered steak and the other ordered a burger, all were great
Very average service. The steak was good. Lackluster wine list and a one bottle limit corkage policy which is petty considering the wine list. Not my favorite chicago steak house but was able to get in on a Saturday last minute.
Filet mignon overcooked, did not compensate the high quality meat it was
Excellent experience as always!
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. Our waiter, Ted, was significant and his hospitality was over the top. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves steak and a great view of the Chicago River.
The food and service was VERY good however I will not go back and will not recommend Chicago Cut. I was extremely disappointed to see an ALL Male workforce.
The only 2 females in the restaurant were the hostess and the coat check person. I was extremely bothered by this. I am not sure how I would have known to expect what appears to be a sexist hiring practice, but this will make me investigate in the future!
I had family in town for the weekend and had been talking up the Lobsterscargot. It did NOT disappoint!! Our lunch was outstanding! Our waiter, Ted, was welcoming and very informative about the menu. It happened to be around the time of some birthdays in our group and they brought the most delicious desserts, Key Lime Pie, Cheesecake and Chocolate Cake. I will always recommend Chicago Cut!
Great food, great service but there was a rush from the staff to turn the table over.
Not my first experience at Chicago Cut and food is always top-notch. Ordered the bone-in filet this time and it was THE BEST STEAK I’ve ever had. The waiter and servers perfectly timed our main courses.
A mother/daughter evening out and even though the food was excellent, the service left something to be desired. Very disappointing.
Incredible food amazing staff highly recommended!
Food was delicious, impressed by the attention to detail and service from the staff. I will be making a return trip to Chicago Cut in the near future.
Horrible experience food was horrible. Felt extremely rushed. Would never return
They try to put too many tables in the dining room. Not spread out at all. The table we were put at I was constantly getting bumped by waiters and had trays of food and drinks going over my head all night. Other than that the food and service was great. Tables could be arranged a lot better.
Ok we knew it was going to be expensive so that isn’t what concerns me here. The aged steaks tasted rancid like they were spoiled. The wait staff was contentive almost to a fault. The buss boy filled my water after every sip. When my husband stepped away twice the waiter refolded his napkin. Weird!
Awesome as always.
Was excellent. Rodney, our waiter, made the experience even better.
Great steakhouse with nice views of the Chicago River. Outdoor dining option is great if the weather is not too cold
Great service. Great cocktails.
Great ambience. Food was average for a steakhouse. It was cold upon arrival. Nothing to call home about, but was a fun place to be
Superb service - comes from the top down. General Manager Bill has a very trained, knowledgeable and attentive staff; they were fabulous. Fod was excellent and steaks were expertly prepared. Scallops were great.
The reception at the check in desk was cool, at best. It is a very busy restaurant and extremely noisy. They do play music, but not sure it helps...as people just talk above it. Tables are very piled together so much so that wait staff has a challenge getting between guests. In an earlier visit, we ate outside which is definitely a better space.
Steaks were quite red for medium and outside was burnt in places. Not that tasty. Service was outstanding. Definitely not worth the price. Will go to a different steak restaurant next time in Chicago.
