   I did nit understand why I waited for a seat by the drafty door. My service was great. Not a good value for the price as far as portion size.

   Great food and a cool environment. The service was great and pretty quick. I would definitely come back with friends and try something else from their yummy menu. I ordered the meatloaf and it was really tasty and a nice size portion.

   We loved our meal at Cafeteria. The food was delicious and the service great. Street noise while sitting outside was very loud since it's above the subway, but still a spectacular meal!

   I knew what I was getting by booking this restaurant. It's a diner but better than a diner and so I wasn't expecting fine dining but a good place to stop after going to the Rubin Museum. My salad was very good and service was good. Our waiter said he was new but he did a good job. We were seated right away. A table next to us left after waiting for a bit but I'm not sure what the problem was. My husbands meal was not as good as he had hoped, he got the meatloaf. This is why I am not giving it more stars. Don't expect fine dining, expect diner food with a nice outside seating area.

   I've only been twice and both times I got the ginger salmon. It was delicious. Underneath the salmon was a puree of peas with peas and mushroom. I highly recommend it. My dad also got the salmon and he was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The complimentary biscuits are a good touch and quite tasty as well.

    Great atmosphere, delicious, creative food. Had the crispy chicken sandwich; was afraid of that it had a rhubarb, but it was AMAZING!! Hubbie had meatballs - very tasty!

    When we asked the servers to bring me salt, they forgot to give us the salt two times. I know they were very busy with service for customers but It was unpleasant for us. Except that, the food was out of this world. Thanks.

    My friends and I went out after the car show and I have come here about 5-6 times. This time was awful. They just recently changed the menu on Friday. The waiter forgot about us and never came to check. I ordered a simple salad with grilled chicken. And my salad came out 10 minutes after my friends burgers. My salad did not have the chicken on it and I was told that it was ordered separately which is was not. I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the chicken. I did not receive fresh pepper for my salad. After calling the manager over the best they could do was take the salads off and offer us a free dessert. When it was time to pay it took another20-25 minutes for that and they person that took the check was not our waiter or even the manager. It was just another server that felt sorry for us. I love Cafeteria it is very inclusive of everyone and chic. But I will not be going back. Which saddens me because it was one of my favorite places to dine at.

    This wasn't my first time dining here, so I knew it would be a great stop for good food at a great value. I've been before for an after hours craving, lunch and this time dinner and I think it's great for all occasions. I like that it has an upscale feel, with decently priced entrees so a night out doesn't have to break the bank. They also have great allergy friendly options and the portions are generous. Our server stayed on top of things and ensured we had everything we needed. When another server brought out our drinks, our server quickly realized one of our drinks was missing the lime we requested and he brought over a tray of limes before we could say a thing. Love it there and will definitely go back.

    The noise level is a bit loud, but the food makes up for it. I rated the service as 4 star because while our waiter was excellent, our table changed over and it took forever to get our check.

    It was packed the Saturday night I went so it was pretty loud. We made reservations and arrived on time, however, we had to wait 20 minutes until a table was available. The manager provided me and my date with complimentary champagne for the inconvenience. I thought that was really nice and great customer service.

    I have started eating here, much later than usual. 2 a.m. is my normal time now and the menu, service, atmosphere and quality of food do not miss a beat. Terrific. To find a restaurant of this quality, open 24 hours is worth so much. Cafeteria is one of my favorite places to eat, anywhere.

    Cafeteria never disappoints. We love it here anytime day or night. Brunch on Sunday was super, as was supper on the previous Thursday. Its always a positive, delicious experience. Great service, and an interesting, delicious menu. Keep it up Cafeteria - we WILL be back.

    We visited NYC for our honeymoon (with our 2.5 year old!) so super fancy meals out were non existent! We had a recommendation for Cafeteria from a friend. The staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating of our daughter. The food was delicious - we had the Mac and cheese tasting platter (the truffle!), I had the meatloaf (so good) and my husband had the steak Sandwhich which was good but he had food envy! Our daughter had a Mac and cheese which was delicious - we got around the very hot bowl by transferring some into one of the tasting platter bowls. The doors were all open on a beautiful sunny evening and we could have stayed all night! Thank you for such a great dinner on our last night in NYC.

    The quality of the food is outstanding. The menu is original and varied. New York has some of the best dining in the world and Cafeteria easily steps into the top bracket, without breaking the bank. The fact it is 24 hours just adds to its quality. It is extremely popular for one simple reason - the food. The friendly, efficient service is noteworthy as well. It is not a huge restaurant so you will be aware of the tables close together but it doesn't matter when you see what is being produced by the kitchen. Fantastic. Best pork chop I have had, anywhere and I have eaten my way around the world.

    Took my boyfriend to cafeteria for Valentine's Day. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservations and they still accommodate us. The food was amazing. I strongly recommend the mac & cheese. My only complaint is that the tables are a little too close to one another
