El restaurante Prospect es un salón comedor más informal del mismo equipo que está detrás del aclamado Boulevard de San Francisco. Only had 2 dishes but I loved them. Refreshing melon dish with yogurt and pistachios, which I’m going to try making (just worse) and perfect pork chop with a unique soup sauce.

This was an outstanding meal, the appetizers:santa Barbara Uni and Hokkaido scallop were wonderful and we shared the the spring onion foccacia with yogurt, mint baba ghanoush and tiny tomatoes, delicious, innovative. I had the flet mignon as entree, perfectly grilled with amazing sides. Best of all, I based my food selection on the sommelier's wine suggestions a white and red burgundy, which were extremely delicious, and paired well with the food! Overall a great meal, comparable to the best in SF.

Prospect was a lovely experience, but I stop short of calling it outstanding. The location is in FiDi so reservations after 7 are going to find you in a more empty than full capacity. The service was great, and the food came to the table fairly quickly. The menu is just varied enough of “new American” to please almost anyone, and the wine list IS outstanding. Everything was delicious and my only note was the Dover sole was cooked beautifully but lacked flavor/sauce/something to remember it by. This is a great spot, don’t get me wrong. But in this city, great is fairly common.

The restaurant had several large parties. Service initially was good but was poor later. The pacing was off. We hadn’t finished our appetizers when the main courses arrived. The duck fat was not rendered correctly and the duck and accompanying crepe were way over salted. The pre-ordered wine did not arrived for the main course until we were 1/2 finished with the mains. The server did have the duck remade which was mostly appealing. The filet mignon was excellent as were the vegetables. We seem to be an outlier given all the excellent ratings. Sad to say: we were very disappointed.

All the food was good and I think the stand out was the corn and morrels appetizer. All of our cocktails were exceptional. The sommelier did a great job while being amusing and entertaining. The ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, were less than impressive. However, I’ve never had stuffed zucchini flowers that impressed me. We ordered them because the waiter said it was one of his favorites.

All the seasoning was wrong, extremely salted and with unnecessary dressings, even in the salad.

Not my favorite experience at Prospect. Normally it's very good and the menu is super interesting. Tonight, there were not many entrees and everything seemed pretty ho-hum. Tasty. But not the amazing experience it usually is.

paying the price foor the poor quality meat in the salsa verde pork and the very sugary cocktails , the citrus bloom , margarita and another drink were too sweet and the tree leches cake was also too dry where i needed a glass of water to wash it down with. disappointed in those areas but the spanish grilled octopus and filet minon were the best

We always have dinner at the bar, and it's an amazing experience. Both bartenders are amazing. Food is always great.
