We expected the same high quality food and service we had the last time we were here for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We had two full interactions with our server, not including when he brought our check. Our table wasn’t cleared between courses, our waters weren’t filled, no inquiry about additional wine or cocktails. Several “management staff” walked by many times without a glance at our empty Pellegrino bottle, nearly empty water glasses and table full of dishes. When I ordered my filet with an Oscar topping I had no idea it was an additional $75, more than the cost of my filet. If I wanted to spend $128 on my entree I would have ordered the Wagyu. My salad had a large chunk of iceberg core, and I almost choked on two crab shells in my $75 crab topping. We are used to fine dining and expect the experience to reflect the prices. The music was loud, there were crying babies, and the experience felt more like a cafeteria than a fine restaurant.

I was disappointed that we couldn't sit upstairs. It was noisy and our server was not at his best. I have NEVER received subpar service at a Masteo's and I hope to never again. Drinks? Fantastic! Food ? Delicious and cooked to perfection!

Great service by June, the best waitress. Super nice and attentive. Delicious salads and steaks. Steaks all cooked perfectly . I think Mastros is the best steakhouse in Chicago. Great atmosphere also.

My wife and I have been coming to Mastro’s for years and it’s always a great experience with Omar and Joe! Everything was amazing besides the food taking a little longer than usual. Omar was amazing as usual and that’s why we continue to come back since his service and hospitality is the best in the business. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves because he’s truly the best at what he does! I look forward to dining with you guys very soon again.

First time at Mastro's Chicago, we had a 5pm reservation and arrived about 10 minutes early to find the doors locked. Someone open the door only to tell us that they would not open the doors until 5pm so we had to wait outside the door. After the doors opened we were welcomed in and quickly taken back to our talble. The cocktails were very good (Old Fashioned), I had the King Crab which was very good, my date had the Waygu A5 strip ordered medium temp. The steak was charcoaled burnt on the exterior when it arrived and the server did not come back in time to hear the disappointment which resulted in a partial eaten disappointment for $150 6 oz steak. Mac and cheese was very good as the cracked crab claw appetizer. I dined at Mastro's in Houston last year and the experience was far better overall. I would not return to this Chicago location with so many other better choices for the money spent.

The first thing one notices at Mastro's is the excellent service as they escorted you to your table. The waitstaff is pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive. From appetizers to desserts, steaks or seafood, the food is superb and beautifully presented. As we departed, the feeling of excellent service stayed with us. It's fine dining as it should be. Loved it!

Ordenamos el ribeye steak y el new york steak y como acompañante lobster mashed potatoe (la cantidad muy bien servida, quizá para hasta 3-4 personas!!) y nos fascinó todo!! Excelente servicio además! Food was decadent per usual. I was originally seated by the window, but due to a draft we asked to be seated somewhere away from the vent. Accommodation was made quickly and smoothly. New table was very comfortable. I was served by Bianca with the assistance of the gentleman in the sports coat. Both made our dining experience very enjoyable. Bianca was very knowledgeable of the menu which better helped my guests as it was their first time being there. She definitely knows how to work the room as she had a a couple of tables including a large party. My service received was nothing short of perfect! Thank you for making our dining experience memorable, especially for the birthday girl! She loved the cheesecake. Will definitely be bringing her back for the butter cake 😋

Food at Mastro’s is always impeccable; however, our service was lacking. Our meal took over 3 hours, and not because we were dragging it out. We spent most of our time waiting for our sever to come take our order. My husband ordered 2 Tito’s and sodas throughout our meal and was only served soda water. Waitress was nowhere to be found to ask for some vodka to go with the glass of soda water.
