Spoonbar - h2hotel
Freeform tables made from reclaimed acacia surround a long, communal table crafted from a split tree. Splashes of color—from the turquoise Eames chairs to the golden floral three dimensional wall art—brighten the open space like dappled sunshine filtering through summer leaves. Great use of seasonal ingredients. delicious choices. great service. really enjoyed our dinner and will return.
Not a bad place. I'd try it again. Gave it 3 stars but really 3.5 but not 4. All 5 of us in our party enjoyed the snacks, as they are called on the menu, but the main courses were all just lacking something from making them really good. The chicken was dry, but dish had good flavor but dry chicken at a nice restaurant???? The Cioppino had tasty seafood but the broth tasted like blah marinara sauce. The Short Rib was over seasoned with some spice that the 2 people who had it got tired of the it 1/2 way thru the meal. So overall worth trying again, maybe a bad day for kitchen.
We celebrated our friend’s’ anniversary. The service was on point. Food was delicious. The sommelier recommendation was perfect to pair with our foods. The ambiance was romantic for the occasion.
The food was excellent! Tuna tartare app was exceptional. Also highly recommend the chocolate mousse was fantastic.
sorry very no taste risotto ; raviolis non remarkable
We went for Lobster Sunday. Chef Matt made the best lobster that we have ever had, including in Maine!
We shared the prawns for an appetizer. There were 5 and since there were 2 of us 6 would have been better. Not all that big at all. Then we shared the butter lettuce with strawberries salad. This was good, light and refreshing. The creme type dressing was really thick and tasteless. Our main dish was braised short ribs with a delicious sauce. $31 for about 3 bites each. No veggies or potatoes. So the skimpy portions were really disappointing. I guess these small plates were not meant to be shared. The Tom Thum cocktail was delicious. Service was impeccable and the setting was great. We spent around $100 and went home a bit hungry. Very few choices on the menu!
good food. good ambiance. good evening all around.
The food was great, service not so much. Our empty plates sat in front of us for a long time. Also water service was hard to get. Ambience great.
Service was very attentive and friendly. Minimalist decor. Food was OK. The ravioli was served barely warm. The Petrale Sole was well prepared, but the fish was not very tasteful.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday with another couple. The food was delicious but the service was very slow and they never acknowledged his birthday. The fire alarm went off twice but no apology or explanation. We asked and there was an issue with the vent in the kitchen. We still had a nice time but they need to work on their service!
Fine but would not go back
We had a great dinner. Food was amazing and service was superb. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great overall experience.
Always great food and service
The food was truly fantastic - a cut above, even for Healdsburg, which is known for outstanding restaurants! Love the dark and modern ambience, with a view to the lovely natural outdoor setting or the street - your choice! Very European!
Food is delicious!
Great food. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Noice leaflet got high through the night-but very fun atmosphere.
So many yums here from start to finish, including the cocktails and dessert. Five spoons!
Exceptional service. The pasta is amazing. Wine selection is extensive and wonderful. Highly recommend.
We went to Spoon bar last night and everything went really well until we got our main course. My boyfriends mom and I both got a burger and it was not cooked at all..... we had them take it back and it came back AGAIN raw. I’m not sure how a chef can mess up a burger twice? The manager and server apologized and asked if we wanted free dessert. I’m not a dessert person and neither was anyone at our table so we declined. We didn’t have an appetite for them to make us another meal... and we just wanted to leave because we were already there for a long time. All in all - we had a good experience, but I would probably just go there for a drink and not food
Very tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere; friendly staff
We drove up for th lob
Our waiter was really terrific and he would be no matter where he worked. A server who actually brought the food to the table didn’t have a clue and spilled the ribeye drippings all over a guest and served it to the wrong guest as well. Apparently compensation for cleaning had been arranged. Appetizers came out sporadically and there was a long wait for the main course. Ambiance is noisy and impersonal. Food quality did not reflect the price. Overall not a place I’m in a hurry to return to. Maybe I’m just not hip enough.
We had a terrible meal at Spoonbar. The service was awful, and the wait for our meal interminable. We waited three hours for dinner and when it arrived, it wasn’t served to all of us at the same time. It was lukewarm and underwhelming. There was a big private party in the back room which impacted the kitchen.
I've been to the bar in the past and always loved it. This time I finally sat down to eat in the restaurant and loved the food just as much! Everything we ordered, drinks included, tasted better than we'd imagined - and I was already imagining the best from Spoonbar, after how much I've enjoyed their cocktails on past visits.
Food was fantastic, service was a bit below par
We were disappointed that the octopus was not what we read on the website menu. Instead, it was a salad - well, we're sorry we missed the warm appetizer. The house made foccacia bread was ok, but for $4, would have loved something more exciting and/or healthy. The halibut was great and we enjoyed it. We'll give the new chef a couple of months to come up with some great items. Right now, the menu is too many fried things. Let's get some healthy in Healdsburg.
Good food. Nice waitstaff. A little understaffed the night we were there...
The food at Spoon Bar is fresh and delicious. We chose the fixed price meal and had a tasty salad, beautifully cooked halibut, and panna cotta for dessert. The chairs are unusually comfortable for a restaurant. And the service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Spoon Bar.
Everything was exceptional at the Spoonbar. The water pourers were a little overzealous; however, the water was great. Wonderful Eastside cocktail!
Great food loved the fixed price menu Risotto, Strawberry salad and panna cotta outstanding!!
Oh my! The food is incredible! Simply incredible. Love the atmosphere and service was good as well. ONE of my very favorite places I've ever eaten. Fun and tasty cocktails too!
The food and service were phenomenal! Will definitely be coming back! Thank you!
The food was really lovely, and the ambiance special.
Excellent vegetarian options, delicious smoked old fashioned like cocktail, and fabulous desserts to share. Great dining for locals and for visitors. Especially appreciated the chef coming to our table to chat after dinner.
We are visiting Sonoma county and found this restaurant online. Food and cocktails were so fun and delicious. The wait staff could not have been more accommodating. So friendly and wonderful. Will definitely be back and recommend this awesome place.
We had not eaten at H2 for several years. Recently we heard from friends that the food was really delicious. After eating dinner at H2 with friends Sunday night, we agree. The whole experience was good. We'll definitely return soon.
The Spoonbar was a surprise as we had never been there before. We were given our choice of two tables, one by the sidewalk, where we could watch people walk by, and one in a quiet area on the side of the dining area - duh! After we were seated it took a while fir the waiter to come and see us, but when he showed up with two glasses of champagne we realized why it took a while. I had noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary and Spoonbar was celebrating with us. This was very nice. For dinner, my wife had the Alaskan Halibut and I had the Chicken Tagine. Both dishes were excellent. The halibut was done very nicely and presented beautifully with potatoes and vegetables. The chicken was so good that I practically wiped the tagine clean. I have had this dish in a Moroccan restaurant in the Bay Area, and this was so much better. Amazing flavors all melding together and the chicken was tender and at the same time had a slight crust. Just perfect. There are many restaurants in the Healdsburg area, but now Spoonbar is at the top of the list.
