I never order chicken but tonight it just sounded good. It was excellent. The Brussel sprouts were just as good!
This is the third time in the last 5 years I have dined here. Only make it to this area every couple of years on average, but have always enjoyed every meal. What is better than excellent food paired with a new wine you have fallen in love with on your visit? Perfect place to unwind, enjoy the food and wine and relax. This is the first time we were not able to enjoy the outside area. Sometimes, its just too cold to eat outside. Didn't affect the meal inside though!!
Excellent food and experience. Would recommend without hesitation. Best meal of a trip that included several excellent Napa Valley restaurants.
Came here with friends while we were enjoying a wine weekend in Sonoma. Worth the drive from Guerneville. Stunning space, truly exceptional cuisine, mindful service.
I enjoyed the fairly classic dishes with a slight California twist. The service and environment was non-stuffy and non-fussy which made for a relaxing evening in Healdsburg.
Great Sonoma experience in a place that there is a lot to choose from, a must do
We had a wonderful time at Barndiva. The food was inventive and delicious. We would have liked our waitressto be a bit more attentive but overall we had a great time.
Lovely spaces, indoor and outdoor. Wonderful service, food and wine. Casual vibe.
Ambience is outstanding. The food is some of the best at a reasonable price. Could not have selected a better place for our last evening in wine country.
Exceptional service, great wine list, beautiful setting
Loved the salad but I should have requested light on the dressing
Excellent food, great service, will totally go again and recommend.
This was our first visit to Barndiva since the executive chef change. Overall the food has maintained it's high quality and preparation. There have been a few tweaks to the preparations, some good, some not so much (I didn't care for the new dressing on the beet salad). The service is excellent and friendly and we look forward to returning soon.
I was a little concerned when we were there a few minutes after our reservation time and they didn’t have a table ready for us. But after that everything went very smooth Lee. My friends asked for a wine that wasn’t on the menu and they even had it. The servers were good at the bar and table. And all three dishes we ordered we’re good
Lovely setting in a Barn with gorgeous gardens. Farm to table produce was put together well for a tasty lunch.
Hopes were sky high coming in based on recommendations, online reviews and Michelin rating. Plenty of open tables when we arrived a bit early for our reservation but they asked us to wait without an explanation. Service was OK, not at all what we expected. Food was good overall but a few of the dishes were definite misses ( do not pay $16 for a bowl of mediocre tomato soup ). Overall the meal itself was good but I would not make the journey to town just for this restaurant.
Lovely ambience. Very warm and romantic with a gorgeous bar area.
Fantastic warm service. Very efficient.
Food unfortunately was just ok. The menu was ambitious and sounded great.
Salad and frites were very good.
Main courses were the problem. The chicken would have been very nice but seriously over salted as to be inedible.
The pork was medium rare and almost rare in spots. It doesn't have to be well done but no one asks for pork that way. Also overly salted.
The waitress never asked how we liked our entrees- probably after she saw how much we didn't eat.
If they straightened up the kitchen I could recommend them. But these were serious flaws on a relatively non busy Friday.
Awesome dinner! We sat outside on the back patio and it was really nice.
Really great food. We brought some VERY special bottles of wine and they did a great job with corkage. Nice end to a day in the Russian River Bslley.
Well prepared food and great service. Our go to place in Healsburg.
This was our last dining experience in Healdsburg on our 5th day of vacation in the area. It was just wonderful. Even something as simple as a salad was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite, with flavors so fresh it seemed all the produce must have been just picked. Side dishes and main courses were fantastic, too. Service was lovely and the decor casual and whimsical, creating a comfortable ambience. I'd definitely return.
Service, while friendly, was slow. Took 20 minutes for an iced tea and a soda and that was only because I asked for it. Food was okay. Both of us had a sandwich, crab club and the Reuben. Both had good flavors but, were soggy. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. That was nice.
all was great. but not a fan of the payment system, especially as the bill is displayed for everyone to see.
This was our first visit to Barndiva for Sunday lunch. My wife's crab Salad sandwich was to die for, and I loved the Halibut Salad. Our friends had encouraged us to get a reservation at The Shed, but none was available. Later that week, we had lunch at The Shed. It was very good, but my wife and I both agreed that we we were glad we had been able to entertain our friends at Barndiva. Seemed a little less informal, more interesting, and not tied to the related food/merchandizinng aims of The Shed. Those Shed aims are spectacular but not quite what we would want in an intimate Sunday lunch. Love both, but happy we chose Barndiva for this occasion!
Too noisy, 1/2 the tables are next to the bar, and the crowd is intoxicated. The dishes were good but overpriced. A great spot for apps at the bar, but I wouldn’t come back for a special dinner.
Great food and fantastic setting. One of the better meals I've had there. Would have liked an itemized receipt after the fact, but that's my only feedback. Super enjoyable meal.
Good food, good service, and a good time.what else can one day. Next time we are in healdsburg we will be back.
This is one of our favorite lunch restaurants anywhere. When in Northern California, we make it a priority to go. The whole package of excellent food, outstanding service and magical ambience is hard to beat.
Always great food. Interesting local food, engaging staff
Wonderful top off to a very successful trip. The Salmon and the filet mignon were great. My partner raved over the beef and how it melted in her mouth.
Desserts were also lovely.
This is a sterling example of a farm to table restaurant. Each dish was very well prepared with unique flavors and excellent presentation. Portions were copious and prices more than fair. The staff was knowledgeable and the wine selection was better than average for Sonoma restaurants, not an easy accomplishment. Kudos to all.
Our waitress was wonderful! We asked a bunch of questions about the menu items and she answered each one with ease. Our food (Butter Lettuce Salad, Filet Mignon, Duck Confit) was delicious. Surprisingly, the portions were very generous. Overall, a most enjoyable experience!
The patio is the perfect setting for a special meal or just a great dining experience out-would suggest outside for quieter dining
Great food and service but....we had 6pm reservation, were early, ordered cocktails, first and second course, $155 bottle on wine and at 7:30 prompt, manager or other came and asked us if could buy drink at bar so could turn table. Wife had wine left in glass. So rude when we were so close to being done. Had the second course come earlier, it would not have been an issue. That said, her insincere gesture left indelible mark on is and the couple next to us. The waiter could not look at us when we left. He was obviously embarrassed.
We went here for our anniversary dinner and it was phenomenal! Reservation is pretty much always needed, so keep that in mind.
Barndiva has been one of my few favorite dining/drink spots for the 17 years I've lived in the area. The food is always exquisite, the service is professional yet warm and friendly. The artsy and trendy atmosphere feels very authentic and understated. Luca has managed to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience for his clients, that includes visually stunning presentations of all items on the menu. Love this local gem!!!
I was excited to eat at Barndiva for my anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. The wine recommendations were spot on, the service was excellent and the food, amazing. I’d highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!
Food was uneven. My duck confit was excellent. My husband's crab blt was awful. Weird!!!
One of Healdsburg’s best, especially so if weather good and garden availabile for dining.
My guest and I enjoyed our dinner experience at Barndiva very much. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was great. The environment in the restaurant and in the outdoor seating area was comfortable and inviting. The decor of the restaurant and bar area was appealing and attractive. We especially enjoyed the beautiful floral arrangements. I highly recommend Barndiva to anyone interested in an exceptional dining experience.
Superb in every respect: food, service, wine list, décor, outside garden dining. My only request would be more frequently changing choices on the menu. New hit for me: The Cuban Sandwich for lunch! Also love the 8 oz. option for select wines when a full bottle during the day may be a bit much.
