   Creative cuisine focused on local and seasonal food. Attentive waitstaff and very helpful. Each course was delicious and beautiful. A great experience!

   The food was very good and worth going there. Tasting menu great way to experiene the cuisine. Only minor negative was that the service was a bit spotty. I would still highly recommend the restaurant

   This is one of the Best Restaurants in Puerto Rico, not just the San Juan area. They are true Farm to Table experts and when you expect elevated bites, they are one of the best!

   We were a group of seven, and the atmosphere was good, with attentive and friendly service from the waitstaff. The cocktails and wine were outstanding. The restaurant’s concept and menu appeared promising, but the execution fell short on several dishes. The favorites at the table were the crudo, the carpaccio, the duck croquettes, and the sea bass (which could have used a bit more salt). Some dishes lacked seasoning; the breadfruit gnocchi tasted mostly like flour, with little to no flavor of breadfruit. Two out of the three bistec ordered had an overpowering vinegar flavor, possibly due to under-reduction. As for the desserts, the flavors didn’t quite live up to expectations.

   Cocina Abierta delivered a truly exceptional dining experience. The 5-course meal offered a delightful array of options, showcasing the chef's creativity and skill. I was particularly impressed with the carpaccio, which was exquisitely prepared and bursting with flavor. The Robalo al horno de leña (wood-fired sea bass) was another standout dish – perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. While I wasn't a huge fan of the mofongo de pato (duck mofongo) – the dough was a little bland for my taste – this was a minor blip in an otherwise flawless meal. Overall, the quality of the food was outstanding, and the service was equally impressive. Our server, Celeste, was incredibly attentive and made us feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable throughout the evening. Her warmth and professionalism truly enhanced the entire experience. Cocina Abierta is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable and sophisticated dining experience in Puerto Rico. Highly recommended!

   I visit San Juan often and I make it a point to dine at Cocina Abierta every time I come. Local ingredients are so gracefully incorporated into the dishes, the service is alway spot on and I am always so satisfied when I leave. The wine pairings to the dishes are carefully crafted and just excellent. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back again!
