I had been hearing about Deuxave for months and finally went with my parents to check it out. In a word, the food was Outstanding. We had the chicken, the duck and the halibut - each one so flavorful and had such a delicious medley of flavors. The duck was the standout, it’s clear why they are known for it - it was so tender and had very little fat, a rarity with duck. We lived in France when I was a kid and my parents used to eat duck there all the time - my dad said this was the best he’s ever had. A few of us also had the 9 hour onion soup which we also agreed was the best we’d ever had. The only minor issue, and it was minor, was the service seemed a bit mistimed. Appetizers came before the wine, entrees were coming out without silverware ...this wasn’t all at our table but I noticed it from observing the room. It was a Sunday night so it’s possible they had on a smaller team. Either way, the food more than made up for it and we can’t wait to go back very soon!

Very nice food. Service was great. We had the chef tasting menu. We did not agree with some of the wine pairings. But the duck was amaaaaaaaazing!

Very excellent food - the foie gras was fabulous and the lobster gnocchi was perfect - lobster juicy and flavorful (not the usual case when restaurants add lobster to dishes...). Pricey (especially the wine list, I think), but the service was flawless and attentive! At the end, we shared a creme brulee and they offered an extra one (on the house) when we quietly whined about the size (only three small pieces and we were four). We declined of course, but it was a wonderful gesture.
This is a solid restaurant of the sort I have struggled to find in Boston which
has so many unbelievably awful restaurants (including the worst "Japanese" food ever).
By international standards the food quality could be 1 star michelin.

The food was beautiful and delicious; nothing wowed us but was truly very very good. Staff was polite and attentive, setting beautiful and a lovely place to spend time with our daughters.
Duck Confit and Mushroom Risotto are must orders. Other items are simply not even in the same ballpark.

It is a gem of a restaurant and never disappoints. Never had a bad cocktail ( unlike many other restaurants and bars, at Deuxave they never mess up any drink), service is beyond excellent and impeccable. Food is outstanding and I rave about this restaurant to all my acquaintances. Background music is very suitable, pleasant, just the right volume, and appeals to every taste, nice and neutral! Beautiful presentation of food. Service is always excellent.
My friends and I were very please with the services we received at Deuxave. The waitresses are well mannered, and very friendly as well. I had the feeling the chef put all his heart in what he/ she is doing. My friends and I were commenting on the way the staffs handled each clients. They worked as a team to give their clients a great service. I would definitely go back to deuxave ,and invite friends and family to go there as well. It is a great place for a romantic date night. It is clean, classy and . . .
If you are reading my comment ,yes you 😆 please do yourself a favor and go check Deuxave out. I promise you will not regret it. I do not want to leave and not mention that I appreciate you guys,and i will certainly come back .
We heard great reviews and booked this reservation for our 3-year anniversary. The service and food were amazing. Absolutely recommended!
as always,a great experience.a little expensive,but it is what it is. Thats why I don't go often,its a special only time,maybe once a year.If it was less expensive,probably a lot more.

First visit. More will follow. Excellent meal served by very knowledgeable waitperson (Mark) who was engaging but not overbearing. The restaurant deserves its good reputation.
Great atmosphere and superb wine-list, and best, most impeccable service of any restaurant I've been to in a long time. Our appetizer, the lobster gnocci, was perfection. I rated the food overall as a 4 instead of a 5 because the pork dish I ordered and the desserts, while good, were not up to the same standard I've come to expect from my previous two visits to Deuxave.
Been her twice and loved it both times! 2 best meals of our lives! Absolutely perfect!
Restaurant was great. Just don't order the caviar. It is served with buttered toast. Totally ruins the flavor of the caviar. Also the French onion soup is so strong it is almost bitter. The rest of our meal was ok.

Simply Wonderful Deuxave
We have been here three times for special occasions and each has been really special. Great service, amazing food, really good bread with house made butter- all set in a beautiful room. The tables are well spaced to provide a calm quiet atmosphere. The wine list and cocktails are first rate. In addition to all the regular courses the chef sometimes provides little extra treats. Finally, the desserts are beautiful, heavenly, and worth every calorie.
If I could own a restaurant , it would be Deuxave because everything about it is marvelous.
We went to DeuxAve to celebrate a birthday. Perfect place for it. We loved the food and the place. Only caveat - we waited an extra 30mns to get seated on a busy Saturday night
Much too expensive. We did the tasting with wine pairing. both the food and wine were mediocre and the service was lacking. We have been to other tasting/pairings and the wait staff has always given lots o information. the wine pairings really didn't even go well with the food. Extremely disappointed - especially given the price!
Some of the best food I've ever had. It is creative, beautiful, thoughtful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The servers and hosts were all so friendly and personable! I know food is good when it makes me involuntarily happy dance. I took a bite of the steak and happy danced :) It was the perfect place to take my mom when she was visiting in town.
Wonderful dining. The pasta is fresh and delicious. Overall a great choice. The appetizers were very generous. Very energetic scene.
We have been to Deuxave many times and usually have a very pleasant experience. This time, had a 7:15 pm reservation and was told that it would be 15-20 minutes before our table would be ready, because they had a lot of walk-ins. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. It ended up being a half-hour before we were seated. Unacceptable. I understand when it might be 5 or 10 minutes before you are seated, not 30 minutes. Won't be going back anytime soon or perhaps not at all. There are other nice restaurants out there.
We love Deuxave for special occasions and for a dinner with friends when we want to be able to have an audible conversation. The food is inventive with wonderful seasonal choices. Eric our sever recently was
attentive and made great suggestions. great cocktails, wines and desserts.
1st experience.Excellent from the minute we walked through the doors. Met one kind and ready to serve person after another...(host)ess, bartender waiter, bus person. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Seamless team. Not uptight. Outstanding food, ambiance, slightly off the beaten track city location. Pricey but special. Thinking of our next reason to go back.
A thoroughly unimpressive place. Delighted to pay the hefty premium for a fine French restaurant. This isn't it. i could have had a better meal at home.

3/5 due to lackluster service given by Eric. While never rude, he was unavailable for our table.
As I watch Eric give 3 other tables decent service I began to wonder if I had offended him. Clearly this was not the case as we only interacted with him three times during the 5 course tasting; When he greeted us, after we had to ask his manager for another cocktail, and to drop the check off.
At the beginning of our meal I inquired about the caviar. Eric implied that it was too advanced for our palette. Meanwhile, he could not even properly describe an IPA. Shameful at best.

We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. The only thing they forgot was a sugar free dessert, which I called and asked if they would bring to one person for her birthday. Otherwise, it was fabulous.
Service and food were very good! My only complaint would be that my husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary and I asked in advance to be put in a quiet corner. We were put in a nook with 4 other couples VERY close together, no privacy to talk

This reataurant provided excellent service and high quality food. We had a fantastic starter, mushroom risotto, and the scallop main dish is superb. Wine selection is excellent.

Had a great meal here with friends. The onion soup is very good if you like lots of flavor. The bar is very modern and has good drinks. There is is a nice selection of bubbly.
