   Very disappointed. Went for a 30th anniversary with my husband. They knew but didn't acknowledge or do anything about it. Ordered a tanqueray and tonic but the drink was not made with tanqueray. They insisted it was which started the night on the wrong foot. Waited over 30 minutes for entrees. Food was not as good as we expected given the reviews and recommendations. Service was nothing special. I would not recommend. There are many other wonderful restaurants in Boston!

   Deuxave is one of our go-to Boston restaurants for special occasions. On this occasion, our waiter was quite knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list and did a wonderful job guiding us in our decisions for the evening. For starters, we selected the duet of prime beef, featuring wagyu carpaccio & prime NY sirloin tartar, that was excellent. For the main course, the macadamia crusted tuna and the Giannone chicken paired with a French pinot noir did not disappoint. We decided to postpone dessert but our waiter surprised us with a plate of birthday chocolates adorned with a candle, a fitting end to our birthday dinner.

   Deuxave is truly an excellent restaurant. I have only been there twice but both times everything was done at the highest level - attentive, professional service, incredible gourmet level food, and a beautiful humming ambience - buzzing but not loud, with stylish decor and city views. This is really one of the nicest restaurants in Boston.

    It started off great. We had a drink at the bar and was impressed by the bartenders’s knowledge and friendliness. We were seated at the time of our reservation which we appreciated. Wait service was terrific. We ordered our first course and all was going well. However we waited a long long long time for our second/main course. The restaurant didn’t seem busy although we later noticed a party leaving from the back private room so perhaps that was part of the delay? Other than the long wait for our dinner we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will go back. Kudos to our waitress. I wish I could remember her name but I do know her younger sister works there as well. They were both great and you are lucky to have them.

    Deuxave is always a favorite! We chose it this time around to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and they did not disappoint. Excellent cocktails, wine, food, service, and vibe!

    Deuxave is such a treat! The food and ambiance are excellent. The service is special…. But the brussel sprouts and onion soup are spectacular ‼️ we can not wait to go again and bring brussel sprout lovers with us.

    Pre-Valentine’s Day dinner was great as usual. Enjoyed the food, drinks and terrific wine list. All items were prepared with care, servings were well-paced and everything very enjoyable. At this point believe that this is the best French restaurant in the Boston area.

    The food was excellent, but be prepared to spend a lot. The wine list likely contributed to the overall expense of the meal (choice seems to be only very good bottles, or ok ones). Our table of four did not select from top of the price list of entrees. The meal came to $520 including 20% tip.

    food was delightful. great combination of flavors in all dishes ordered. from greeting at the podium to exiting, everyone was very attentive and courteous. don't pass on the duck, the specialty as our server pointed out. most tender duck entrée we have had. ever. the seared foie was outstanding also (not as easy to find on a menu)

    We've been coming to Deuxave for a fe years for special occasions and are always impressed with the friendly atmosphere and welcome from everyone there. Last night we connected with one of our servers over her new baby and it was so special.

    This was my second time here and it was even better than the first time. Everything was delicious and it is obvious that the ingredients in each dish are so well thought out and work together perfectly. Each bite was a treat. The service was impeccable and attentive without being obtrusive. I look forward to returning again whenever my plans bring me back to Boston.

    We celebrated our anniversary at the bar. Darrin and Pamela took great care of us, and the wine one of the servers helped us select was perfect. Deuxave is very good to us!!! The food and atmosphere is wonderful and everyone knows that, but it’s the staff that make it truly special.

    Once again, outstanding meals for three! A bit busy, as we were in the 'corridor' from the front door to the main dining room, but it didn't detract from the food/drink. Valet service was spotty, with only one person running the show, but our car was kept in front so leaving was easy. Duck, of course: The Paté and two Confits. Beet Salad, Strip Steak, and the Crispy Chicken, all excellent. Mousse and Ganache, both decadent. Waitstaff appropriately attentive. $400 including tip. We'll be back!
