The food was terrible! The cocktails were terrible!! The only good thing about this place was the scenery and the service.. extremely over priced!
25th wedding anniversary
Service was a bit slow. Food was good. Ambience is great.
Great Place for Sunday Brunch. Highly Recommend!!!
We arrived late for our reservation due to a marathon in Malibu that shut down PCH. We called and Geoffrey’s was happy to accommodate our late arrival. When we arrived we were taken to a nice table, but it was not set up yet. We waited about 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by the waiter - in my opinion that was too long. We brought a $150 bottle of champagne with us and the corkage fee was $35- I thought that was a bit high? The food was “adequate” for a Sunday brunch. My potatoes were barely warm. I had to ask for my water to be refilled. Not the service I expected from Geoffrey’s. Will I go back? Probably - the view is to die for.
We made a reservation ahead and waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated, which was totally fine. However, once we got seated, it took them another 15 minutes to bring us menu, and that’s when we found out who our server was. After we ordered our food, we got bread and butter ( the bread was cold and super hard) and our appetizer. Not until we finished our appetizer I noticed that everybody was around has cloth napkin except our table, so we had to ask for ours. Anyways, food was okay, but I felt like we were ignored most of the time. We had to ask for our check twice. We would not come back.
arrived on time, had to wait 40 min to be seated
food was average m the quality of service is declining
Not our favorite by any stretch. Very disappointing and quite pricey.
Ambiance and service were spectacular. I had the lobster quiche and loved it, although, it was a bit overpriced for what was served. My friend enjoyed mushroom soup, crab cakes and the beet salad. She said it was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. You won't get the most groundbreaking food experience here, but the views and ambiance are the reason to go.
Excellent as always
Great food, Excellent Bloody Mary's and a fun time for all! Will be back.
Amazing views across the Pacific Ocean. Lovely terrace and real laid back vibe. Food was great, amazing fish options and the burger was 👌 A must if in and around Malibu.
Gorgeous place and very good food. I went to lunch and I had a very good experience. I really recommend this place.
First time at this restaurant and will be back. We went for brunch and enjoyed the splendid view. My husband had the smoked salmon egg Benedict and I had the shiitake mushrooms omelet. Both dishes were well prepared and very tasty.
Checked in, greeted by a snobby host and hostess. Lead to the wrong table, then just sat at a table that wasn’t set. Flagged someone down for water. Asked 4 times for water. Finally got menus. Waiter in a hurry the entire night. Lights kept flickering. Asked about lighting, waiter told us lights were flickering because it was a busy night.
Food was less than desirable. Lobster egg rolls bland and unimpressive. New York strip was cold and over cooked. My husbands fish was dried out.
Don’t waste your money!!
The ambience and view of the restaurant were spectacular. Delicious seafood. Restaurant wasn't too crowded for a late lunch but our waiter seemed to need a little more help. I hope to go back.
Beautiful restaurant in Malibu! Make sure you go to see the sunset.
Had a lovely lunch with my husband. It was a beautiful sunny day at the beach and the view was amazing! The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed. Yummy food and the service was very good, on top of It but easy, not intrusive. Can’t wait to go back!
The setting and ambience was exquisite but the food was uninspired. I had the tuna tartare which was good but not great to start, followed by the chicken roulade (somewhat dry and without much flavor) with broccoli rabe (very plain). For dessert I had the bread pudding which was the best of the three dishes but not the best I’ve ever had. For the prices, I expect more and as such would not recommend or return.
Service 3.5 out of 5 (reduced from a 5 because waiter said the Seafood Paella was good)
Wedge Salad 4 out of 5 a bit skimpy on the dressing but tasty.
Sword Fish 4 out of 5 small but good
Seafood Paella 1 out of 5 (horrible and an embarrassment that they served it) 2 medium shrimp, a half dollar sized scallop , and about 8-10 clams with absolutely nothing inside them, plus the rice was soggy and broth was mediocre. I would sent it back but for the fact that is was my wife's birthday and I did not want to put a crimp in the evening.
Bread 3 1/2 out of 5
Getting a terrible dish at a fancy - expensive restaurant - no matter how good everything else is, is a bummer. Should not happen.
Amazing as always. The ambience, the food, the view and ofc the service!
Food was just okay. Service was nothing special.
Always an excellent place to celebrate any occasion.
Good food and great service as usual from this gem
The night was superb! Food was incredible! The weather was unbelievable. No wind! We sat at corner table overlooking the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for a better waiter than Austin. Turned out, he went to school down the street from our house in Sherman Oaks. Small world. It’s been at least 10 years since we’ve dined here. I don’t know why we waited so long. The scenery, even at night, is amazing. I can’t say enough nice things about this restaurant. From front desk service to “Awesome Austin”.
The environment is all. Utterly Southern California divine. A pleasure to be there. Excellent service. Food is fresh. Nothing more. Location location location.
I took my daughter to Geoffrey's for her birthday. She'd never been to Geoffrey's and loved it. I always choose Geoffrey's for special people and occasions. It's a beautiful environment, wonderful food, excellent service, and it never disappoints! I always recommend Geoffrey's and will continue to do so. It was a perfect birthday luncheon!
Unimpressed with the execution of the food.
Two stars for food. Five stars for ambiance. Four stars for service. Go for the view, don't expect much from the food. Tuna tartare was good, crab cakes were gorgeous and not bad. Swordfish ($40) was way overcooked and dry. Paella ($38) was basically mush, seafood was ok, stock was bland, presentation was unattractive. Servers were friendly and competent.
Always a pleasant experience here. Lovely view. Hostess are always sweet. Service is good. Chef turns out great food. Diverse menu. Bartender makes a good cocktail!! What’s not to like!!
I have wanted to dine at Geoffrey's for years and finally had the opportunity. The day was glorious, perfect for lunch on the patio. A bit disappointed our table overlooked two roof tops but the ocean was just beyond. A delicious and relaxing lunch with prompt and professional service. I would recommend Geoffrey's to anyone and look forward to my next visit.
Geoffrey’s is simply the best. Like a Rolex watch or a martini at sunset. They do it right from the start to the finish. Special in my heart forever.
I really enjoyed Geoffrey's--the ambiance was spectacular. I would say that our server rushed us through and that is really a big issue for me with respect to how I enjoy my dining experience.
Everything was just good. Not exceptional. The view was my favorite part.
The food was not worth it. I am never gonna come back to this place.
Great brunch date
Incredible space with great service and delicious, well prepared and presented food options. The baked brie was amazing, and I enjoyed the crab cake benedict quite a bit! It would have been nice if they had umbrellas to protect from the sun outdoors, but otherwise a beautiful, delicious dining experience.
I have been for dinner several times and it was great. Food drinks table, all good. This time went for brunch. We were outside by the flowers and the bee’s were awful. It made me nervous to be honest. I had hoped the waitress would have noticed but no such luck.
Quiche was good but french toast was just okay. Honestly the bees buzzing around through the entire brunch was stressful.
I really love going there but going forward, dinner only.
Absolutely amazing, it was mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary and we had a great time. Very beautiful and genuinely great staff! My mother always went here when she was younger and suggested it to me. Would love to come back.
