   My daughter's birthday. She wanted to go somewhere for brunch and we picked Sea Salt based on the menu. Food was very good, although menu was not extensive. Service was good, very friendly. Not crowded (we did make reservations to be safe). Small place, historic building, exposed brick walls etc. Hope it stays around. Lots of competition in Nashville these days!

   A short, well curated menu of food and beverages that works for parties of all sizes and most diet preferences. I didn’t notice any specifically vegan or gluten-free items, but there were several vegetarian options. The bacon-wrapped shrimp was perfectly cooked (and rapidly eaten), and the scallops with grits was delicious; I even liked the kale, which was subtly garlicky and sweet. Most of my companions ordered the halibut special, and all of them very nearly licked their plates clean. My group also tried a few of the choices from the brief but appealing house cocktail list, and at least a couple of us ordered another round of the same. The noise level is pretty high, to the extent that it was sometimes difficult to hear the live music, but we were still able to have conversations among ourselves. The service is efficient and amiable, with the entire party’s orders arriving simultaneously and beautifully presented. It was an all-around excellent dining experience.

    What a find. Was sent in by someone on the street to get a drink for happy hour. Made reservations for later that night for dinner and so glad we did. Found was delicious Service was great and there was live music which was perfect. Had the bacon wrapped shrimp apprised for dinner along with a side of cheddar grits. Omg it was fantastic. Highly recommend Sea Salt for a wonderful dinner while in Nashville

    Cajun redfish was awesome with the grits and savory collards. Great service and very accommodating when had extra folks show up. Recommended to. colleagues who came the next night and loved it!

    We chose this restaurant because of the menu. Prices were ok and food sounded good. We were a little upset because we didnt get the menu we reviewed online and instead got an upcharged valentines weekend menu. Every item was more costly than the regular menu so we spent way more than we had planned! The food was good but not for the upcharge. we will go again when menu is more affordable for us.

    We got reservations here to have an early dinner after a show at TPAC. Our server was very friendly and conversational. We had the grouper and the salmon and both dishes were very good with lots of fresh flavors. The young lady on guitar and singing was nice to listen to and not too loud so that you could still have good conversation at the table. We will definitely go to Sea Salt again.

    The appetizer came out with the meal and the scrambled eggs were like rubber. When the waitress finally came by to check on us I told her that the eggs were not acceptable she offered to redo which when they came were fine but it took away from the experience.

    Great Valentine’s Day meal! Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was outstanding. My wife ordered the scallops and grits and I ordered the Scottish salmon. Both were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Even the Sauvignon blanc we ordered was terrific, though our server forgot to bring an ice bucket to keep it cold. Live background music was a nice touch although it was a bit too loud.     We decided to go to Sea Salt for Valentines Day. The entire experience was outstanding. My wife and I had two different fish dishes and they both were terrific. Incredibly tasty. The service was attentive snd everyone was unbelievably nice. Very,very friendly by everyone. The ambiance was wonderful and the live jazz music was excellent. This was one of the best Valentines Day since we got engaged 31 years ago. Thanks Sea Salt

    Great jazz music - thoroughly enjoyed. Service mediocre but perhaps that was due to it being Valentine’s Day. Was not aware of limited menu prior to arrival so limited options for vegetarians

    Great service. Mediocre food. Started with the crab cakes, in pretty particular when it comes to crab cakes. Sea salt crab cakes in my opinion are over worked and would be better served with solid lumped crab, carrots mixed in and leave a less than desirable crunch. House dressing on the salad was extremely under seasoned was tasted like straight olive oil. The scallops were cooked nicely but the topping of it reminds of the beef jerky in can from childhood. My wife’s grouper was dry and should have been left as a larger filet, her piece of fish was thin leaving little to no meat... the House band was good but please turn down the speakers

    My wife and I were at Sea Salt for our Valentine's Day dinner. We had an early reservation. There was a piano player with a percussionist playing not too loud, not too soft, playing music appropriate to the mood. Our server was competent and friendly, with a personality. Our steaks were excellent. Being Valentine's Day there was a limited menu, but since this was our first time there we were pleased with the selections (not knowing that there could be anything else).     Everything was near perfect except 2 things.. We were a party of 6, my sister in laws scallops and grits got brought to the table about 15 minutes before anyone else's food arrived. My husband ordered the salmon and it was way over cooked... near charred/burnt on the top.

    Honestly, we ended up at Sea Salt because we couldn't get reservations at two other restaurants that had been recommended. We picked Sea Salt based on the menu, because my colleague is a pescatarian. We were both VERY pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was and how nice and attentive the bartender and servers were. Next time I am in Nashville, I will definitely return!
