Food took forever (like an hour) but it was delicious. Service could have been more on point too.
I always want to be able to give Harvest five stars, but the service is always lacking. We had reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes for our tableIt took 35 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Empty tables next to us so it wasn't that busy at the time. Our server only came back to offer dessert, no contact in between.
Good, fresh food. Nice place all-in-all. Just slow service.
The food and service was excellent! The host accomodated our last minute request to sit inside.
Meals were delivered lukewarm, but the staff was very apologetic. They not only did they redo our meals, they also offered a gift card for a future visit. We've been here many times and will continue coming back.
We went for a birthday dinner celebration. The grassfed burger was awesome. Also enjoyed the duck and the shrimp on ancient grains. Food was presented beautifully. They gave my son a free dessert for his birthday with a candle on top! Will be back for sure. Planning happy hour with the ladies.
Everything was fabulous & amazing....from service to food!!!!
Favorite place for family gatherings!!!!
Food had good flavor but was served lukewarm. We had reservations however the restaurant seemed unusually busy for a Monday night and staff was unprepared. Our server had a fabulous personality but was also the bartender so we didn't see much of her. We let her know that our food was lukewarm (couldn't send it back if we wanted to as no one came to check on us) and she nicely comp'd dessert. Pretty expensive for just a so-so meal...
First time here from out of town. Fell in love with this eatery. Recommended by someone I work with and it was everything she said and a lot more. Service and hospitality level was off the charts. Menu was creative, simple and really tasty. Truly sets a standard for a 'Farm-to-Table' restaurant that other would do well to learn a thing or two.
–Fish Cakes were a knockout!
–Burrata Toast was delish!
–Fried Chicken Sandwich had a spicy, flavorful edge to it; not overdone by any means, though.
–Grass-Fed Burger was terrific, but not spectacular.
Excellent! From the moment we walked in to the time we left, welcoming, helpful and appreciative servers. Food was both beautiful and delicious! Can’t say enough good things. Those of us who drank alcohol were delighted with their creativity and flavor. Don’t hesitate. A happy new find for us for that special occasion!
The food was excellent. I had the pork loin and about the best I have ever had.
My husband had the chicken jerk salad and he said that was very good.
I gave outstanding because the food was outstanding; however, our waiter never came over to pour from our bottle of wine except at the very beginning......It would have been nice to have him pour the second
glass. We will go back primarily because we know the food will be good; the service mediocre.
An off night. Pork tenderloin was excellent. So were cauliflower and hush puppy apps. But shrimp (ordered by 3 of 5) was flavorless.
Always Excellent LOVE weekend brunch outside on a beautiful day, unique farm to table menu.
Flavors in food could be better. The appetizers - roasted cauliflower and the avocado mousse were pretty bland. Our entrees the pork my husband really enjoyed.
The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We will visit again soon. Thank you!
1. Server Kevin was doing such an excellent job.
2. The coffee was so watered down, no taste, please switch the brand?
3. Please consider paving the gravel patio. The whole experience would’ve been more pleasant.
4. The host totally overlooked the note I left on my reservation that it was my dad’s birthday. So, no candles!
Wonderful as always! Love this restaurant. Great food and wonderful atmosphere!
Loves Sunday Brunch. Excellent menu - lots of great breakfast & lunch options.
Wonderful food, beautiful atmosphere and excellent service! Don’t miss this one!!
I didn’t like the chicken salad sandwich on rosemary bread. The flavors in the bread and arugula overpowered the taste of the chicken salad.
The meat and cheese plate was amazing! We were a bit disappointed in two of the entries. The lamb was practically raw and the garlic shrimp were ordinary (although the grains and veggies they were on were top notch). The service and ambience at Danville Harvest are always perfect.
Our server took really good care of us. We sat outside, much quieter and intimate. We had a good laugh about the shishito peppers (hot or not?). There are vegan options available (there was one in our party), but I have to admit the fries were good (and they weren't mine)!
We had a great lunch. Harvest is one of my favorite newer restaurants in Danville. Our server wasn't great, we never got our sweetener after asking twice, one of our guests never received a drink re-fill after he asked for one. At the end of our lunch a sprinkler burst and got two of our guests moderately wet. We didn't expect a discount or anything, but they didn't even acknowledge that our lunch was cut short because of this.
Even after this, I will be back... The food at Harvest is exceptional! I won't let one bad experience turn me away!
Been to Harvest multiple times and I want this restaurant to be a neighborhood gem but it came up short again. Lunch was mediocre...didn't think I could go wrong with a burger -- dry and unimaginative, my lunch buddies had salads that were ok but bland, quinoa prawn salad was a very small portion so that person was eating off of our plates. No bread and no attention from the waiter on the patio. :-( They weren't busy so I don't what the issue is. Harvest, please UP your game.
Very nice dinner and amazing food. Our service was fantastic and paired some samples of wine for us to try with our meal.
This rather poor review is a result of the dinner on September 25, not to generalize all of my experiences at Harvest. I was with a group of 5 woman and 4 of us thought our entrees were very dry. Three of us ordered the halibut and one ordered the chicken. (One woman thought her jerk chicken was fine). When I ordered my entree I asked if the halibut will be moist, because it can be overcooked. It was a huge disappointment when all the $37 halibut entrees were very dry. We considered sending them back, but our leisurely dinner was getting very long. In addition, I was waiting for our waitress to ask how we were enjoying our food; but she never did. Overall, we had nice time because the outdoor setting on a warm evening with good friends was a pleasant. Sometimes the food has been excellent, and other times so-so. But this past dinner very disappointing. Unfortunately, I will think twice about returning to Harvest.
Food is very good and staff is always nice. It’s a great place for lunch.
Lovely meal. Our server was very friendly. The roasted cauliflower appetizer with vadouvan aioli to start was fabulous. Will definitely reserve again.
We had a great time at Harvest. Very comfortable experience. Sat outside along Church St and were able to hear the live music from Bridges. Wait staff was excellent. And we very much enjoyed our meals.
I love this place! Food is delicious and fresh. Try a burrata it’s amazing!
Took my daughter and grandchildren for a birthday lunch. They were very attentive. Service was great and food was healthy but innovative and tasty. Interesting drinks and the charcuterie tray and cheeseboard nice appetizers.
The 6 of us walked out of brunch before ordering. First, they require a credit card guarantee which is off-putting since this isn't SF, but ok. But then when you arrive, the place is more than half empty, and the hostess still cant force a smile with her greeting. We ordered a bottle of wine, and then attempted to place the brunch order. The menu is super limiting, with 5 or 6 entrees and that's it except for apps and sides. Someone is our group asked for her sandwich to be placed on bread, instead of on a croissant and was told by the kitchen that they refused to do it. Something ridiculous about needing the count to stay the same for bread vs. sandwiches or something. So, the place is half full (or half empty) and they wont make a bread substitution. We had the wine corked up and walked across the street. Sorry, but attitude is everything, and if I'm going to spend 300.00 on brunch for 6 people, I want someone in the restaurant to care. They let us leave, no one said a thing, and I wouldn't ever go back.
We were seated at 7:15 and didn’t get our food until 8:20. The waiter never came by to tell us what was going on or see if we wanted an additional beverage. I finally complained to a waiter who I could flag down and his excuse was that the restaurant was full?! The food was very good once we got it but the service was horrible!
Great service & local farm to table food. Enjoyable ambiance. Just a bit pricey.
Great for family!
Service was very poor. Quality of drinks/food was very disappointing. Examples: I ordered a Brut Rose, and a flat (tasted like cheap White Zinfandel) was served. I sent it back, the waiter didn't even apologize. He should have not served it from an obviously old bottle that had gone flat. Then the water was not refilled for a long time. One of the appetizers was almost cold, which was a cooked item. I think it had been sitting, waiting to be picked up for service but our waiter didn't get to it on time. He was very disorganized, and spacey. My entree salad was over dressed, dripping with oily dressing. So disappointing that I would never return. It is a shame, because this place could have potential, but customer service is absent and the kitchen crew and bartender are clueless.
Gastronomic delights. Fresh food well prepared!! Great service too!!
Hostess had issues finding my reservation and tried to seat us in the bar next to a screaming baby. But once that got cleared up and we moved to the dining room the meal was fantastic. My mom was happy to see a ton of gluten-free options on the menu. Would return without hesitation.
This was our first time at Danville Harvest. We will definitely go back.
Love this restaurant, definitely one of our best ‘locals’ 😊😊
