Overpriced brunch with low-quality food. Nothing that my party order was great. Catfish and grits was decent, all others were VERY mid. Dirty plates on the buffet (6 before I got to a clean plate), lemon ricotta pancakes tasted like artificial lemon flavoring, eggs did not taste like freshly scrambled eggs, steak tips were tough, I could go on. Table and chair had crumbs on arrival. Very low-quality and not the same as the regular dinner service. I was disappointed and will not return. SO MANY better options at the same price point. Choose wisely.

Went for brunch buffet - 4 of us all in agreement that the food quality was horrible. Lukewarm food from the kitchen, weird eggs - maybe liquid scramble? Just everything was awful. Not worth $62 all you can eat if you don’t enjoy any of it. A total ripoff.

1. Be sure to view the menu before coming because the franchise menus and PRICE vary based on location. 2. The music was ok. The live DJ did a good job. 3. The food was absolutely TERRIBLE. I paid $62.00 for the unlimited brunch and i order calamari which was very hard and unseasoned, 2 crab cake sandwiches which both were very soft and mushy and a garlic chicken pizza (w no chicken) whis was ok. Of the four items, i ate one crab cake and 2 slices of pizza. 4. My date and I left and went it shack shake. The table to my left and right echoed the same sentiments as I did to the waitress. 5. My first drink was not a bruch listed drink (French 75) and it was TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS. I was astonished and almost outraged at the cost of that drink. 6. I truly wish i spoke with a manager that day to advise that I would pay for the drinks but not the food. $130.00, i still ended up at another restaurant just to get a satiating meal.

Food was not worth the price. couldn't order from regular menu could only get brunch. said it was family style - it was not. music way to loud and drinks watered down. DO NOT BELIEVE THE BRUNCH HYPE. much better options in the DMV. They should stick to pizza and burgers.

Ok let's start off with saying the staff was nice. Now let's get into it fr. Didn't realize the property was 20 more than other locations ok cool. Father's days brunch let's still do this. Lemondrop was delicious. Crab cake was pretty good. Pancakes were to soft in the middle and tasted like sugar cookie dough.(what he wanted the most and was disappointed) Pasta was like 5 noodles. Crab legs were good. French toast wasn't stuffed and to hard. Seafood scrambler was cool. Chicken and waffles good. Shrimp and grits was better than expected. Music was good just wayyy to loud. Overall. For $200 not worth it but we went because of the hype and to say we experienced it. Would we again, probably not.

Matchbox in Pentagon City is a fantastic place to grab a bite, whether you're in the mood for their signature thin-crust pizzas or a hearty brunch. The atmosphere is lively, the service is attentive, and the food quality is consistently impressive. However, while the brunch menu offers delicious options, the pricing feels a bit steep—especially considering that mimosas aren't included. With so many places offering bottomless brunch deals, it would be great to see Matchbox incorporate a similar perk to enhance the value.

Maybe my mistake was falling for Instagram hype, but this did not come close to living up to what was hyped. The food we ordered wasa not great and the taco bar was just ok. They said their cotton candy machine was broken, so there went the highlight for our toddler. If you are a seafood lover, the bang for your buck is the snow crab pasta dish. The only decent item was the ice cream bar but the overall experience was definitely not worth $62 per person. Speaking of which, I'm not sure why they charge $62 at this Pentagon City location but other locations are $45 or less? The only good thing I can say about this place was the service was friendly.

Quality of food is awful! Music is too loud. You can’t hear the server. Outside ambiance it great. Staff seems aware of poor food quality.
