Everything was virtually perfect. However the waitress did not bring items requested and it wasn't very busy (3pm). She served the meals for nine just fine but after eating several requests were acknowledged but she took no action to complete the request. One took 2-3 requests before it was done but was at least 10 minutes later.
I would recommend this restaurant for lunch but not for a Saturday night. We went on a Saturday night and there was a noisy private function which spilled over to the restaurant. We were seated right outside the area of the function. When we had to scream to hear one another, we asked to be moved. They tried to move us to another interior table but we refused and asked for a a booth in the hopes that it would afford us somewhat of a sound barrier. I would not return for an evening meal.
I had enjoyed a lunch there on a previous occasion and my sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. The fries I was served that evening were burnt.
There was a party going on so the noise level was up, but over all this was a great dining experience. Food was great, service top notch.
Was very pleased overall with food, cocktails and ambiance!! Only recommendation would be to have a sign on the clubhouse exterior stating “Salted Brick”, since it was a bit confusing coming into the parking area.
The setting (in the Trilogy community) was peaceful and attractive. The staff were friendly and attentive. Menu isn’t huge but has a variety of options from salads, sandwiches, appetizers, to entrees. Generous portions. The pretzel bread appetizers was big? Two, big soft pretzels with a cheese sauce. The “fondue” cheese sauce was not great. I hope they consider some adjustments to the recipe.
My mom has the pork chop with smashed sweet potatoes. I had the lobster Mac n cheese (you can get ham n peas or shrimp and crawfish as Options). I liked it. Very tasty.
Prices are reasonable.
Be aware of nights they have music. It was very loud on Friday night. But people were dancing and having a good time.
food was ok but poor service, had to wait 20 minutes to be seated even with a reservation. Staff appears disorganized.
Went to Salted Brick this past weekend with my daughter. I have to say the Burger I ordered was one of the best I have ever had. Completely charbroiled and crispy on the outside and rare on the inside like I ordered it. Amazingly tasty. Ordered coleslaw in lieu of Fries, and really like the homemade slaw. Light with good flavor. The only disappointing item I could flaw is the salad dressing for the Greek salad. It tasted much like bottled Italian dressing. Such an easy fix to serve this salad with homemade greek vinagrette. Fix that, and I give you 5 stars. Service was friendly and fantastic!
Good food reasonably priced and excellent service.
Good Burger. Great service.
This place is simply the best. The food is amazing, with quality ingredients and innovative entrees. The service was excellent! Our server Amanda was very prompt, and ensured our dining experience was outstanding. This restaurant is our goto in the Ocala area.
Need to get a better cook that can cook chicken that is not raw or tough 1 time or the second time.
Food was good, service was good, value was ok it was a little pricey
All the employees we have encountered here are very friendly. Also, we have had GREAT service and AWESOME food at The Salted Brick. However, the noise level from everyone talking so LOUD can be very distracting and significantly reduces the ambiance of the dining area.
Was not aware that Thursday is Trivia. Drinks were overprice and we waited more than 10 minutes. Food (fish) was over cooked.
Stay consistent with food quality and service.
Portions seem inconsistent and small, need to increase a little.
Crispy fries mean crispy fries not 3/4 cooked and soft. 3 out of 5 times I had to send the fries back.
Calamari is delicious but portions are way too small for the price.
Buffalo wing are good at times depends who cooks them
Do need better buffalo hot sauce selections now that football season is started
Cold beer and wings while watching football ... life is good
We went for lunch on Thursday, which was excellent. Then we went Friday night for dinner at 5:30, and it was really loud--it seemed to be Happy Hour, and we were seated by the bar. If we go again on Friday night, we won't go until after 6:30, when it quieted down. The food is great, and so are their prices.
Everything was great - the food, the ambiance, etc.
We made reservations on Open Table. When we arrived we found out the restaurant was open to members only that night. Open Table should not have been able to accept reservations in that case. Is it the fault of the website or the restaurant? Embarrassing situation since we were meeting guests.
Bright, cheerful, modern. Excellent staff and service. Located in a beautiful golf course community. This restaurant is part of their clubhouse. We loved it. The food was just average. The fried fish was served in a very thick and uncooked batter. The fries were hot and good. We had the special salad that was very good. Nacho dish was soggy and covered with a very smoky meat that was overwhelming and ruined the taste.
The food was good. The waiter got my order wrong, but made it right. It was very noisy. The view is nice overlooking the golf course.
Our server Elizabeth was amazing.
The food was delicious.
An awesome last night of our 1st honeymoon that we didn’t have 50 years ago.
This was our first time at the restaurant. We were surprised at the ambience, attentive service and the salads were very good. We choose the ribs which were delicious. We were introduced to chef Wallace (Walls) who was very interested in our thought in the meal. Our only disappointment was that they did not have the beet salad. We hope they bring it back on the Fall menu.
Do not go on a Sunday night before 6:30! Loud trivia going on. Speakers were so loud and the music in between his questions was deafening. We could not carry on a conversation. We all got ribs and all except one order were very good. My friend had to send his back because it was all grizzle and small pieces of bones. The replacement ribs were fantastic. Service was wonderful. Just check that trivia is not going on when you go!
wonderful food and service. Just loud during dinner
Our party of three arrived shortly before our 12:30 pm reservations on a Friday. We were cordially welcomed by the hostess and the wait staff. Our server, Heather, was attentive yet non intrusive. I had requested a booth since there are some hearing issues to take into consideration. They had the request noted and showed us to our booth. We tried their club sandwich, Tex-Mex salad, and classic Rachel sandwich with a side of fresh fruit. Merlot and lemonade were the beverages of choice, and were very good. The sandwiches and salad were very tasty, and the fruit was fresh and ripe. The presentation for this fare was very nicely done. At that hour, the restaurant was quiet, which made it easy to converse. The scenery added to the relaxing atmosphere. All of us agreed this was a very worthwhile outing in all aspects!
I went to Salted Brick at Trilogy at Ocala Preserve and LOVED it. Super fancy menu for very reasonable prices. Almost everything between $10 and $20 besides Ribeye and Filet Mignon. Not enough people were in there on a Thursday and it definitely deserves to be packed! My service was awesome. The ambiance was second to none in Ocala. My waitress was very charming and attentive. Go try it!
A beautiful restaurant with great service. The servers know their menu and can offer recommendations if undecided. We have always been pleased with the food. The atmosphere is conducive to a fun and relaxing dining environment. Amanda was our server on this particular evening - so guest friendly.
The food was not as good as the last time. Service was excellent. However, it’ll be awhile before we are back.
This was our first visit to the Salted Brick. We chose to sit outside on a lovely evening over look the water and golf course. The menu has a choice for most folks. I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was very good!
Service was excellent. We had a most enjoyable evening! Give it a try.
This was our third time there over a two year period. Love the atmosphere, food and service. We now ensure that we go when there is no trivia night....too noisy!
Love this place. Great food. But, find out if it’s trivia night because if it is , it’s noisy and you can’t hear yourself think.
Great lunch with family. Service was attentive and appropriate. Food was great. Took our parents for lunch and all rated it a success.
Father's day lunch. Great service, interesting menu, food was very good, and it was relatively quiet (although our reservation was for 12 noon so it wasn't that crowded yet). The grounds around the restaurant were outstanding and if you go there in the evening, eating outside would be enjoyable.
First visit here the food was very good many menu options to choose from the service was wonderful the restaurant, bar and outdoor dining are very inviting and beautifully designed and the decor was excellent.
Noise is definitely LOUD. Seems restaurant shares space with community clubhouse and they were having a party next door and area is open.
Atmosphere in restaurant very nice. I had steak special which was overdone. Wife had the cod which was good.
Bill ended up around $80 for the two of us which I left thinking was high for my satisfaction level. Bonefish grill would have been much better for same price
Go at sunset, sit outside
Food was very good however the noise level was terrible. Atmosphere was more of a noisy bar than a satisfying dining experience. Would be wonderful if they could look at a separate area away from the bar for fine dining.
Amanda was very attentive --excellent service.
Always enjoy the food and drinks. So happy it is close by.
We have always enjoyed the Brick and look forward to our next visit !
Covered outdoor dining during the showers, looking over a lake; the ambiance was terrific. The food and the service was very good. We will go back even in good weather.
