                                    An above average choice for dining at Sonoma town square. Often energetic and occasionally serving hit and miss dishes. Worth a try to experience a level below fine dining but still a very good choice.

                                    We love El Dorado Kitchen - have gone there annually when we stay in Sonoma and always enjoy our evening there. Great staff from the hostess' greeting to dessert service.

                                    We sat in the courtyard on a very pleasant evening. The wait staff was a bit slow, but attentive. I had the salmon which was slightly overcooked (dry) yet very tasty. It was served over a bed of greens with a sauce which was delicious. My wife and another person in our party had the paella. One said it was the worst paella they ever had, the other said it was OK. The paella was light on ingredients, and the rice was burned to a crisp on the pan, so they had to scrape the pan in order to eat the rice. The wine list was relatively pricey, even by Sonoma standards. We had one $60 bottle of wine, two salads and four entrees. The bill before tip was $365 or over $90 per person. The meal was certainly not worth that kind of money, even in Sonoma. I would not recommend the El Dorado Kitchne.

                                    Loved the pan seared salmon and the lobster sandwich and the scallop appetizer and the oysters and the sparkling rosé.  Just the best!

                                    Our dinner was very good. We shared several appetizers and entrees and all were flavorful and well composed except for the tuna tartare which was disappointingly bland. The beef carpaccio and raw oysters were divine and we loved the roasted salmon with sweet corn and the short ribs with a smattering of mashed potatoes. The waiter was a bit rude wishing us to order and saying “there’s a lot of chatter” at our table as we began asking questions and giving him our order. Seemed like his good waiting years were behind him. We also shared sorbet and a berry crisp with buttermilk ice cream and tea for dessert. we’d definitely return.

                                    Great food and modern/chill atmosphere. Roasted maitake mushrooms has perfect texture and taste, meaty without animal protein. The vegan plate is a perfect plant based symphony, very satisfying!

                                    Everything was great although I made reservations that were lost at a different time. My boyfriend loved his steak but said the cutlery needed sharpening. It was perfect. We were seated next to the kitchen which made it hard to talk as he wears hearing aids that amplify everything.

                                    We had an amazing evening at El Dorado Kitchen! First of all, this was the first location to recognize our Anniversary. The host, Daniel, was knowledgeable and friendly. Our server, Melissa, was down to Earth and made us feel so welcome. The food was outstanding! Had the filet with the truffle fries(best I have ever had and I am picky), as well as steak frites. Husband had a beer and I had the Scribe Rose. It was impeccable. Such a great experience and ALL positive.
