   We've been coming here for many years, even before we discovered the great Doggie Monday deal ($10 off a bottle of wine and treats for the dog). The last couple of times we visited, the blush was off the rose -- everything was fine, but nothing rocked our world (although the service was impeccable as always, by the hyper but unflappable waiter). Last night Zazie was back to its very high standards: bistro fare done to a turn. The mussels came in a creamy sauce so rich we had to send the waiter back for more bread twice. Escargots were not doled out stingily in individual shells; a swarm of them swam in another rich dark sauce. All the entrees were delicious and had us playing "chinese restaurant", swapping bites. The vibe on the back porch was totally relaxed, and despite one larger dog making threatening growls at the smaller pooches, no altercations ensued.

   There’s a warm, familial vibe even if it was our firs time. Took a while for the host to come up to us when we arrived a half-hour before our reservation; but he was welcoming and immediately found a us a table for two. The warm fresh roll presaged a lovely meal: mesclun light dressed in balsamic vinegar, mussels in cream toast start; New York steak with three spears of asparagus and grilled trout on a bed of roasted potatoes; and fruit crumble with coffee. Service was quick, unobtrusive. Our tab was $141, including 2 glasses of red at $14 per. The no-tip-expected policy simplifies the process knowing the staff gets its fair.

   Monday night doggie dinner is always fun! The people are friendly and the food is very good. My daughter had a nice birthday dinner and her French bulldog puppy enjoyed the outing!

   Monday night on the patio, a must have experience for dog lovers! If you are not fond of well behaved dogs next to you while you eat, you can always choose the indoor dinning room.

   We enjoy coming here for a date night after ongoing doctor's appointments at UCSF. Zazie never disappoints and always provides a yummy and fun dinner experience in the city before we travel home. We enjoyed the prix fixe option - definitely a fabulous choice and a special treat that the Boeuf Bourguignon was on the prix fixe menu that evening!! Merci beaucoup!

   The back patio is adorable and a great atmosphere. Every plate is amazing. Loved the Salmon dish both times I had it. Can’t wait to come back for brunch.

    Zazie’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I go for dinner and occasionally for brunch (during the week to avoid the crazy line). Everything on the menu is delicious and items change with the seasons. I love dining in the back garden. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Overall, outstanding.

    Lovely, lovely dinner. Good and service are always spectacular and consistent. As my adult daughter said before our arrival “I could eat here every night!” Amen. And kudos to Zazie for everything, including giving your employees a livable wage.

    The Lapin ala Moutarde was excellent. The meat was very tender and the dijon sauce was not too mustardy (upsets my stomach if it is). Likewise the mash potatoes were very good. Will definitely be coming back.

    It was very noisy. So much so that we had trouble maintaining conversation across the small table. Other than that, everything was just fine. Really nice and efficient waitress. Very good food.

    Really delicious and affordable food in a great environment! The patio is really cute and well-heated for a late night dinner. This place is known for brunch, but trust me, don't miss out on their dinner menu! The people who work there are very friendly and knowledgable about the food. They also give you a discount on Mondays if you bring your dog (!!!) and no corkage fee on Tuesdays. Seriously an amazing find for the city in terms of quality and price point!

    Great food. Great Service. Great ambience. Zazie has a regular clientele that's delightful to have in the restaurant. Zazie pioneered the idea of revenue sharing and benefits for its employees. The idea stuck and the vibe in the restaurant is really positive.

    Such a hidden jewel! Intimate and every bite is delicious in this cozy, wonderful neighborhood! If you're in Cole Valley - go! If you're not in Cole Valley GO! Worth it.

    I love this place! I have been here for brunch and it was a long wait (but super delicious). I brought my parents here and they were thrilled, the food was incredible (you can taste the quality). PLUS they treat their employees really well by including tip in the menu to provide health care, 401k match, etc. This is just a feel good place to be.

    We love Zazie. We went on Valentines Day dinner-a prixfixe menu. Between the 2 of us we had every selection. The neighborhood low-key ambiance has always attracted us and we like the no tipping policy. The country French cuisine is always well prepared-that night special dishes were the wild mushroom soup and the beef bourginon. Dessert was Strawberry-rhubarb crumble with creme fraiche-delicious . Prices are very reasonable including extensive wine by the glass selections which are well curated . We’ll be back!

    I brought three friends I had taught with 40 years ago. One of the women had never been to Zazie and she was raving with every bite of her Crispy Duck Entree. The rest of us were thoroughly happy with our selection of Bourride Zadie (seafood stew), Pasta de la Courge, and Poisson en Papillote (salmon in parchment paper). The wait-staff were wonderful, too.
