   The food was absolutely phenomenal. Very GF friendly, wonderful, knowledgeable waitstaff (our waiter’s name started with a K I think, he was just the best). We split the GF breakfast bread (and ordered an extra to go, since it was so good) and then I had the new chili and eggs and it was outstanding. Served with their house made GF bread which is excellent, and not just for GF. My friend had the sausage and egg sandwich and couldn’t have been happier. The cocktails were fab too - I had Pickled Marys and she tried the Mezgroni and the Smoked Cinnamon cocktails, and we couldn’t pick a favorite. Can’t wait to come back once the world is no longer ending (#CoronaCanceled)

   Food was just ok, service was good. The music kept getting so loud you had to ask for it to be turned down so you could talk to the person next to you. We would not go back.

   Excellent. The restaurant started to empty out and wait staff was extremely accommodating in allowing us to linger over coffee to catch up with old friends. We really appreciated this. Cookshop is one of the few restaurants I would return to again and again

    Cookshop isn’t fancy. Cookshop’s food isn’t trendy or complicated. And Cookshop is often very crowded. But Cookshop is a great place to eat, consistently and reliably, year in and year out, meal after meal. The food is always delicious—you can count on an excellent meal, which can not be said about a great many NYC restaurants. The front desk is always friendly, even when Cookshop is busy busy busy. And the wait staff are excellent. During the height of the COVID epidemic, Cookshop was one of the few places I dared each at (outdoors). The outdoor seating space was under a canopy but really open air, unlike many restaurants with dumpy shacks that looked like Petri dishes. The outdoor space heating was excellent. Menus could be accessed via QR codes, and paper bags were provided for your mask. These Covid precautions, and more, showed a lot of careful thought for the safety and comfort of staff and customers. . More broadly, someone has clearly thought through how to run a restaurant that leaves diners feeling happy and well taken care of, at reasonable prices (by NY standards). This keeps me coming back to Cookshop.

    Cookshop is a boisterous and delicious experience. The atmosphere is loud, but it is very upbeat. The food is very good - I enjoyed the cassoulet. It was hearty and delicious. Next visit, I plan to have the delicata squash for dinner. One of my friends raved about it.

    Excellent Sunday brunch! So many great choices on the menu, it was tough to make a decision. We did settle on the squash and kale frittata and the heuvos rancheros, both were so delicious. Service was great, too! Would definitely recommend going!

    We came here for a late dinner after a movie. We wanted a place where we could relax and unwind and discuss the movie without having to shout to be heard. Cookshop was the perfect place to do it. Superb yet unpretentious, the food, drink, and the atmosphere were exactly what we needed. Our waitperson was pleasant, attentive, and expertly versed in every aspect of their dinner offerings. It was a stellar ending to a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be going back!

    Lively atmosphere with seemingly every demographic enjoying themselves. Seating was punctual, our waiter (Andy) greeted us immediately, was friendly, even fun, knowledgeable and passionate about the Chef’s creations. Each course surpassed our expectations, prepared perfectly and expertly presented. For us tonight, it was a “wow” factor meal and we both agreed to return on our next trip into the city.
