Bistro Bis is a jewel. Probably among the very best restaurants in DC. The Restaurant Week lunch at Bistro Bis has to be THE BEST LUNCH in DC or for that matter anywhere in the world. The variety, detail, quality, service are truly exceptional. Gazpacho, Cod, Grand Marnier Souffle are absolutely fabulous!

It is restaurant week and we once again had a perfect meal from Bistro Bis. The watermelon gazpacho danced on the tongue, the cod with vegetables was fresh, healthy and delectable and the scallops were perfectly cooked. Everything is thought of: a little fabulous salt with your whipped butter makes you want to give up on low carbs. Do it. Eat that fabulous piece of bread with that butter. You can always take a long walk later. The desserts -- chocolate cake and berry cobbler -- were all that one would wish. Thank you, Bistro Bis.

Visited during restaurant week. Service was great. With the exception of the oysters and the warm fruit cobbler which were outstanding, the food was mediocre. Had the Cobb and my friend had the crab cakes.

It was a good experience all around, although the the fruit cobbler dessert which was a bit bland. The steak tartare and beef bourguignon werefabulous as was the cod and watermelon and tomato gazpacho.

I went for restaurant week Summer 2020 my daughter and I enjoyed mussels & beet salad, braised duck & chicken w/potato & carrots. Desserts were amazing. Highly recommended!🤗

Bistro Bis is my favorite place in DC. I had the crab cake appetizer, the potato-crusted cod and the Grand Mariner soufflé. Everything was delicious but the soufflé was the star. So light and fluffy and with the right amount of orange, and served with a chocolate sauce poured into the middle. I also had a lovely cocktail, the La Lavandou. It was a beautiful gin, elderflower and lavender concoction that I just loved.

It was so wonderful to be able to dine in @ Bis again! They did a fantastic job, we were totally comfortable and the food was...as always Amazing! We had the most delicious brunch here this morning. It was very quiet in the restaurant due to coronavirus so our server Josh was attentive and spent a lot of time answering our questions. We can’t remember the GM’s name but he was friendly and welcoming as well. I can’t say enough about the food. We ordered the mussels in the saffron cream sauce and I don’t have words to describe how good it was. Josh was amazing and kept bringing us more bread to soak up the remaining sauce. The pied du cochon Benedict was also delicious. We ate a lot of food but didn’t feel gross or bogged down afterwards like we usually do after brunch. We can’t wait to come back to have the mussels again and try more menu items, and to see Josh and the GM again.

This was one of several delightful meals we have enjoyed at Bistro Bis. From the warm greeting we received by the hostess to the server's (Hector) introduction to the serving assistants' approach we could not have felt more welcome. The menu choices were diverse with an overall Continental flair. We and the couple with whom we dined look forward to a return visit.

What a pleasant surprise! I recently traveled to DC for a conference and met a friend at Bistro Bis for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was outstanding! The short rib bourguignon was literally to die for! I highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!

The food was very good. Our only complaint, a serious one at that, is more of a recommendation. Patrons should be asked at the start of the meal of there are any allergies. My wife and I did order carefully however at the end of the meal we were given some truffles because we didn’t receive an item we ordered. We didn’t think that one may have Nita. My wife is allergic and did have a reaction. Fortunately it was not as serious as it could h e been because she realized there were nuts as soon as she took a bite. Other than this it was a pleasant experience experience.
