I ordered takeout from Kabuki before and their food were good and decent service. This time, I booked a reservation on Saturday at 6pm and all went well until the Friday before. I got a called from someone asking me to confirm my reservation and I responded "yes" that my guests and I will come. Then on Saturday morning, a man from Kabuki called and asked me to confirm my reservation! I told him that I already confimed yesterday so he said that he has checked my name and they will not called again. That afternoon around 2pm, a woman called me to confirm my reservation again. I said that I already confirmed twice so why is she calling me again? she told me that it was her job to call to confirm. I told her to not play game and leave me alone and hung up. If you want to try Kabuki, just go there. Don't reserve tables. The restaurant is not crowded but the staff is rude.

Prefer to enjoy this restaurant for lunch than for dinner. Sushi is always fresh, spicy tuna rolls seemed a little "loose". Sashimi (Omakase) was good. Our server, Jose, seemed a little less trained than other servers we have had in the past, was lacking in attentive or expeditious behavior.

It's a 115 degrees today, the AC started acting up in this restaurant 3 days ago and when we arrived, no one warned us. After 45 minutes of sweating we told them we couldn't stay any longer. The manager on duty, made up some excuse and when I told him that we should have been forewarned when we walked in that the AC was out, he told me it wasn't out then. Of course it was out then, they were on the roof working on it from when it went out 2 days ago

This review is regarding my visit (07/20/18) at 7pm. The hostess was extremely friendly and sat us down promptly. Immediately after taking our seats, my party and I felt very warm. Apparently we weren't the only ones because several people from the tables in our section were fanning themselves with their menus. Our hostess told us there was a slight issue with the AC and that they were working on it. No big deal. Or so I thought. It just seemed to get warmer and warmer. We placed a pretty large order with a strategy. First the three apps, then the first round of sushi (four rolls), then the second round of sushi after that (another three rolls). Our server was amazing and he placed the order exactly the way we asked. Super attentive and friendly. Well, it was a good thought while it lasted because everything wound up coming to our very small table at the exact same time. Still, we're a creative bunch and we made it work. No big deal. Now, here's where I really took issue. The fish on the rainbow roll I ordered wasn't cold. That really bothered me because I'm super picky about sushi and I kinda have this thing where I like raw fish to be cold. Then I tried the barbecue beef ribs. They were so bland. I then tried the dragon roll and was severely disappointed. The unagi tasted like butane and I couldn't continue eating it. The Alaskan roll was assembled lazily and it was literally falling apart when it came to my table. We had to use a spoon to pick up and piece because it couldn't hold its shape! Now, I can forgive a lot of things but I have a big problem when the food I'm paying for isn't up to par. On every other occasion I've been to this location, the food was amazing. Tonight was just a fluke, I suppose. I'm not the only one in my party who thought so. It was super warm in their and the food was such a disappointment that we all decided to leave. TL;DR Restaurant was warm, raw fish not cold, food didn't taste the same, so we left for another restaurant.

Great food just don’t go there late at night when they’re getting ready to close… The waiters and waitresses want to get out of there and are very rude. They took the soy sauce off our table the menus for dessert menus and couldn’t wait to get the plates off even though we weren’t done… Very poor service but the food was great…

I made reservations at 9 PM for their last seating at 10 PM. When we got there, they did not have our reservations. The hostess told me that they do not check OpenTable at that time of night but that they think they could still seat us. Both hostesses were rude and had attitudes. Once seated, our server told us that last call for food orders and drink orders was 10:15 PM. How is it that a guest is supposed to decide in a matter of a few minutes all courses and drinks, especially when we’ve never even been there. So we scrambled, ordered double glasses of wine, appetizers, Salads and entrées. Everything came out at once except for the salads came after the entrées. We literally were there for 40 minutes. We felt rushed the entire time, did not feel like we enjoyed ourselves at all. And apparently this is how this restaurant runs all the time every night due to strict time limes on cleaning and shutting the kitchen down. I might suggest that they move their last seating time till 9:30 PM that way their customers have a better experience. We won’t be going back.

11/21/2017. The front desk hostesses did not understand about open table process. They tried to send me somewhere else to chat about the open table points. The server and food was excellent. It was our daughters birthday and they didn’t mention anything . Disappointed. We spent a lot of money .

Visited Kabuki while staying in the area on a business trip for a Sunday dinner with a friend. Fun atmosphere. Good sake selection - waiter made a great recommendation. Quickly filled up on small plate dishes (miso black cod was excellent) and rolled sushi. Service started out great but it took a while to find someone for the bill. Reasonable prices, will visit again when nearby.

The food was excellent, but the restaurant was dirty. The table was not properly cleaned before our seating. The walls were covered in grease and splatters. The glass partitions were also filthy and dusty. This really detracted from what would otherwise be a pleasant dining experience. I will not recommend to anyone until I see that this location has been properly cleaned.

This is a young, hip place that would draw a new generation of such lovers. The plates (nigiri moriawase and sea food on hot stone grill) we had showed a new twist that deserves recognition. The wait staff, while genuinely polite and attentive, was young and not very knowledgeable with Japanese cuisine, especially sake. With a bit of staff training, this place could rise to the next level.

Kabuki did not honour my open table reservation, first not believing that I had one and then not believing that I had one at their branch, and then not believing the confirmation email that I showed them. Apparently they don't accept reservations on Friday and Saturdays. They were very busy and the waitress asked me if I was done after I ate my appetizer. When I pointed out that my main had not yet arrived, but that I was supposed to get soup or salad, she rushed off and brought me soup shortly after the main arrived. The food was sloppily made but tasted acceptable, although the raw fish was mushy in texture.

Popped in for a quick dinner with a friend before going to the theatre. Ordered miso soup, the pork belly, and a California roll. I figured the soup would appear first, but the pork belly did instead. Large pieces that were moist and flavorful. It was served over raw onions (they didn't really cook on the hot plate) with cilantro and sliced jalepenos sprinkled on top. The California roll and miso soup were good as well. Good service, wait staff were friendly.

For the price, I would have expected better food. While the menu offered a ton of options, the food did not match the decor. My fiancee's ramen broth looked like watered down soup. My Unagi Bowl took extra seasoning before I could eat it. I also requested no avocado as I am allergic to them. They put them in there anyway. My mom ordered the teriyaki chicken, which was apparently good. Sad that they offer so many options but really only nail the basic dishes.
