   We have been going to the Liberty house for roughly 15 years and they never fail to deliver. The view and ambiance are matched by the service and food quality. (Even with one of the best views in the world, you still need to have the goods!) Carlo and crew run a well oiled machine, and they treat you like family. The food is always great and innovative. For the quality, location, and service, the price is more than fair and you will never leave hungry.

   Wonderful food, beautiful presentation! Our table was in the middle of the room, we were bumped into by people passing by. The service was mediocre…and the noise level was over the top! The setting and the food will draw us back another (less crowded) time. And I will definitely request a nice table next to a window.

   Booked for a birthday celebration based on past reviews about how attentive they are to the special occasion. Booked online and put it in the notes. Checked in and spoke directly to the hostess to remind her that we were celebrating a birthday. She assured me she would talk to the waiter and even asked for me to point out who’s birthday it was so she could point them out to the waiter. When dessert came out, there was no mention of a birthday celebration. The birthday girl was so upset. So was the person paying the bill!!!! Unacceptable! I told the hostess, but the damage was already done. As for ambience; there were so many large parties that probably should have had their own room. It was extremely loud because of the large parties screaming/being rowdy and demanding the waiter’s attention. The waiters were clearly distracted by the large groups and we were basically ignored.

   Extremely good service is expected and observed! Wonderful oysters, sushi was good, not exceptional. But the shrimp appetizer, and salad, Chilean sea bass and hangar steak were all described as delicious. The Berkshire pork schnitzel was outstanding, with a crazy large serving. The lardons and arugula worked really well on top. Great drinks as usual. Super evening.

   The food was cooked well, but there was a miscommunication from the kitchen. My husband has an onion allergy and we let them know at booking. The waiter very kindly came prepared with what my husband could eat. We were told he could have the chicken as listed in the menu but the other meals would need substitutions. So my husband ordered the chicken expecting it to come with the polenta and mushrooms. Instead it came with French fries and sautéed spinach (which he hates). We were never consulted on the substitutions nor were we asked about his preferences (as many good restaurants do). He would have never ordered that dish as it came because it was essentially chicken and French fried for $28. When we mentioned this, the server apologized, but that was it. There was no offer to discount the meal. It’s really sad because we were testing the restaurant to see if we liked the food for our wedding, but the lack of communication and inability for the chef to prepare something for onion allergies (which run in his family) has taken this restaurant out of consideration.

   Liberty House is the epitome of excellent food, ambiance and service. I, along with others went in celebration of a birthday. The personalized menu was such a catchy start that made my fiancé feel welcomed. We enjoyed the food and drinks! Everything was seasoned too perfection. The view of the city is the cherry on top! Wr had such a beautiful time and I will be visiting Liberty House again real soon.

    Xavier was our host for the evening and was outstanding. He ensured that our party was taken care of and continued to check in on us and keep us engaged. His recommendations were on point. Highly recommend the bronzino and Brussels sprouts. The calamari was a great shared appetizer as well. Looking forward to going back

    Liberty House was an amazing experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely stunning. You feel as though you can reach and touch the New York sky line. The restaurant inside is absolutely beautiful. The service from the moment you walk in is above and beyond. Food — incredible. I had scallops and shrimp — beyond amazing. The ice cream is made on premise and is absolutely delicious. We will be going again and again

    Not happy with food at all. Brunch was not great and disappoint. Service and the attention they gave you was impeccable and I didn’t feel that they had many breakfast options for brunch.

    Liberty House is always a pleasure to dine out. Staff are very attentive and goes out if their way to make sure you are satisfied. The food is not only attractively presented but is delicious. The octopus starter and butternut squash soup was outstanding as was the grilled branzino. The Lemon cheesecake had a lightness to it that made you want more. I look forward to my next visit

    We were a table of 4. As soon as we entered Elena the general manager welcomed us and quickly seated us with a beautiful view of NY skyline. Our waitress Taylor was attentive the whole night. Being busy on Valentines day she made time to check in on our table. The food was excellent from the appetizer, entree, and dessert. Enjoyed the outdoor section with fire pit for great picture taking

    This was Valentine’s Day and it was not a good experience from the start. When we arrived with a reservation for 5pm to an empty dining room we were told that others were ahead of us. We were out to the side and waited for about 10 minutes while others were seated. It was odd. Either way, we’ve been going there for years. My name is Joselyn Marcano. I’m a man not woman. We will be back as we love the place and the people there but will never again be back for Valentines Day. We look forward to seeing you all soon… thank you for all of the wonderful meals and memories.

    We ordered two Strip Steaks with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We received two ribeye steaks with mushrooms. I explained the mixup to the server. he then brought our brussel sprouts. When the bill came we were charged extra for the brussel sprouts and we were charged for the price for the ribeye steaks instead of the Strip steaks that we ordered. $16 extra per steak. We were originally seated close to the windows with a view. However other diners kept opening a door that lead to an outside deck next our table. It was 45 degrees out. eventually the staff moved us to a corner with no view.

    We went for early Valentine’s Day and had an adorable little sweetheart table with a perfect Manhattan view. Service, food and ambiance were fantastic. It’s a pricy meal but worth it (minus charging per soda). One of our favorite places to spend a special occasion!!

    Great service! Delicious food and cocktails, we had an amazing knowledgable server! The atmosphere was beautiful, it was such a wonderful experience!! There happened to be a party upstairs that had a fireworks display which completed our lovely evening!

    Overall experience is very good. I only gave it 4 stars because when they packed our leftover dinner, (pasta and lobster) they did not include the lobster’s 2 claws which are untouched. We only found out when we got home.

    We came to celebrate birthday to this restaurant and location cannot be better! NYC view at it’s best! Several dining rooms for different occasions. Food is great. Highly recommend restaurant overall. There is plenty of parking. Need to get a ticket at the gate and validate inside, ( unless u are in the uber. No need to validate the ticket) General manager Elena is very professional. Will definitely come back.

    Went for a friends birthday last night. Place was beautiful. Service from start to finish was impeccable but certain things rubbed me the wrong way. I thought the overall price was over the top for what we received. $13 pints, $15 virgin mojitos, bit of a stretch but ok no problem. My wife chose a bowl of just pasta with red sauce came out to $28, thought that was a reach. My buddy got the steak special and although he was told it was for 2 it was priced at $175 which I found to be another reach considering my Veal Chop special was only $42. I suppose Manhattan views equal Manhattan prices. I just thought a $600 bill on 4 people was a bit much especially since they added gratuity which I’ve never heard of for a party of less than 6 but ok no problem. Hopefully them making it a party of 6 on the check was simply oversight and not an attempt at securing 20% for any reason outside of them thinking we weren’t capable of a solid tip (my wife and I both worked the restaurant industry for over a decade and we’re usually 30% tippers). Was Liberty House an awesome experience? Definitely. Was it worth $600 on a party of 4? Not quite. I am thankful they made it memorable though.

    Went for my brother’s engagement dinner. They packed 7 of us in at a table that was better suited to 5, when we got to the table 2 chairs were missing. Dinner took 3.5 hours, our server would disappear for huge stretches of time. Food was just ok.

    One of the best restaurants I have been to. David and Carlo the General Managers are attentive, professional to say the least. The wait and bus staff are top notch. There when you need or want but not stalkerish. The Executive Chef has put together a great menu featuring local foods. Presentation to taste, all 5 stars. A definite must do restaurant.

    Dined last nice for my 6th anniversary with my wife . From the entrance to end of our dinner service was great , and everyone was very lovely. We ordered the sea bass and cavatelli . Sea bass was a little chewy , was under cooked in my opinion and the cavatelli was very delicious. The view of the place is great , right by the water with the landscape of Manhattan . I recommend .
