    I came here for a romantic evening. The ambience here was perfect. We were put in a quiet little room next to a fireplace that was nice for the occasion. Our food was great and our server made sure our night was special. We will definitely be back for our next date night.

    I dined here with my mom for her birthday. I was really hoping to take her some nice for a very special night. The BVI was perfect! There was a birthday card on the table for my mom when we got there. Our server was amazing and my filet was cooked perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better night.

    First time diner, recommended by a friend. I typically travel to Boston for a nice dinner, and was skeptical to hear a good one existed in New Hampshire. I am so glad I listened to the advise of my friend. Not only did I find "New Hampshire's hidden gem" but I will be saving a lot of time driving to Boston! Absolutely will be back!

    My wife and I would describe ourselves as adventurous and "trendy". Although we eat out often, we try to be spontaneous and try new restaurants and cuisines. The Bedford Village Inn has been the only exception to this "standard" of ours. Between the Tavern, Corks Wine Bar and the Dining Room (and their ever-changing menus), we continuously find ourselves coming back, and never leave disappointed! This visit, we dined in their Dining Rooms for our Anniversary (always such a treat!) I decided to surprise her with a few enhancements that I had pre-ordered to have at the table (Her favorite bottle of wine, card and roses). The process was quick and painless, and more importantly, my wife was blown away! We have already planned our next visit and are both looking forward to another memorable experience!

    The wine list is amazing. My only concern is that BVI charges three times more than the local liquor store charges. Overlooking that, I still think that the overall value is good. The service is second to none and the food is great.

    Bread basket cold, some of the staff seemed to be on drugs. Food , service was fine. Scoop of mashed potatoes needs to go back to school cafeteria. Chocolate bag was good as always.

    We went for my birthday dinner and were greeted by a card and festive curls of ribbon on the corner of our corner table. It was a slow evening due to a wine week event being held off premises. Service was attentive and professional. I had the poached lobster special. My dining partner had a rib-eye special. Both were delicious. The cocktails were excellent. I was treated to a surprise Happy Birthday dessert with a candle. The entire evening was wonderful.

    Lovely spot to celebrate our 39th anniversary, starting off with a grand reception by 6 hosts! Table nicely decorated for occasion, along with a card from the restaurant. Our 1/2-bottle of bubbly to start turned out to be 2 single serving sized bottles, but just right to accompany a delicious beet salad which we shared. Chef would not split salad for us as it would have interfered with the presentation! LI duckling entrée very good, although a little too much Brussell's sprouts salad. Scottish salmon entrée looked lovely on the plate, with nice, crispy skin. Chef did substitute asparagus for the Swiss chard. Portions just right to save room for an apple cake which came decorated with more anniversary wishes in the form of a dark chocolate brick which we got to take home. Thank you to BVI for such a nice anniversary dinner.

    My husband and I got married here 12 years ago. We celebrated our anniversary with an awesome dinner and stayed overnight in a beautiful room. My husband remarked “It is the Greenwich Ct. of New Hampshire.”

    I booked the Bedford Village Inn for our anniversary dinner. Our table had a card that said--"Happy Anniversary". That was a nice touch. However, we had to wait close to 15 minutes before a waiter approached our table to take our drink orders. From there, it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. It was very frustrating. We did not hear about the one dinner special until 20 minutes after we sat down. Quite frankly, I expected MUCH more from the service. On a positive side, the food was very tasty. My dessert (the apple cider cake) was very dry and I had to ask another member of the service staff for coffee ( our waiter did not bring it). My wife chocolate cake was quite moist though. Overall, a nice place. We have dined here several times and had great service. This time, not so good.

    This restaurant’s menu is excessively pricey for its location. The dining rooms were well cared for but dated. We had specified we were on our anniversary dinner and we were tucked into a room with larger parties. That was a disappointment. Service was excellent, but the management of the dinner seemed disconnected. The wine menu was extensive, with compliments ranging up to the high hundreds. We ate a very conservative dinner, i.e. night’s special Halibut, and had 1 beer and a martini. Our bill totaled 170 not including tip. There are several other restaurants in the area that provide for a better experience at 2/3’s the price. Disappointing. You will leave feeling hungry. On a positive note, the signature desert was fantastic. If you don’t mind dropping the cash on a “nice” restaurant then it is ok. Next time, we will go elsewhere....

    Our only suggestion would be to improve the lighting a bit. Although I found the lights to create ambience, the lights were plain frustrating for my husband to read his menu..and he is only 52!

    We made a reservation (5pm Sunday evening) and specified that we were celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival the hostess looked up from the phone, as if we were bothering her, did not say how can I help you, or anything like it. In fact, we were not greeted or made to feel welcome at all. We instead had to announce ourselves and our reservation. We were then shown to the worst table (#15 as I recall) in a completely vacant room. This was not going to do for our anniversary dinner. Frankly, we expect more from BVI. Past experiences were stellar. After asking and being seated at another table a server approached and poured us tap water without offering sparkling or still water. He did not introduce himself, tell us the specials, etc. We finally at one point asked him for his name (Ryan). He told us 1 entree special as opposed to a list of several which we had heard another server enthusiastically reciting; he did not tell us the appetizer special, did not tell us the sides that come with the entree special. Ryan gave absolutely zero presentation of anything. Instead, he gave us a very smug impression. We were not wished a "Happy Anniversary", nothing. Meanwhile, the server at the other table gave great service and presentation and I heard several "Happy Birthday"s given to 1 table. The meals were pretty good and the bus boy was very pleasant. Upon exiting, a new hostess was in position. We asked for a manager's business card, but were given a generic BVI card with no email address or manger's name. Service is the reason we dine out and is the reason we chose BVI for our celebration. After this past experience (an over $200.00 insult) we are in no hurry to return. Our next celebration will be in Boston since the BVI no longer holds appeal.

    We got married at the Bedford Village Inn a few years ago and then deployed overseas. We finally got a chance to come back for dinner and they were so welcoming! Complimentary champagne, a tour of our wedding dinner room, complimentary anniversary chocolates with “happy anniversary” written on them! It was a really lovely little touch that made our night feel extra special. The food and drinks were all absolutely fantastic. And then to really cap off a fabulous night, another diner anonymously covered our bill. I assume because my husband was in his military uniform (he’d come straight from his recruiting job). Highly recommend BVI!

    This was the tenth year my husband took our granddaughter out to dinner for their birthday tradition. They both love their special time together. BVI has always made the event just a little more special with signed menus, extra attentive service and warm greetings from the staff. They are both lovers of good food and BVI never fails to please. If you are looking for a lovely venue, excellent food and a place to start a family tradition , look no further. This is the place.

    We’ve been coming to The Bedford Village Inn for special occasions for the last 25 years, and it never disappoints. Beautiful venue, gourmet cuisine, and impeccable service. A very traditional style, so not for those looking for a lively scene.

    This was a regular staple for me when looking for an upscale dining experience in southern NH. I was disappointed this weekend. Service was well below par and it took almost 1 1/2 hours for our main course to arrive. When it did arrive my wife’s filet that was to be medium well was blood red. They brought it back and instead of making correcting it a priority, it took another 30 minutes to get the new plate. The manager made my wife’s dinner on the house, but it was a little to late. Will not go back.

    Wonderful food and stellar service. Staff needs to do a better job at policing their guests for noise. There were a number of tables who were excessively loud for such a small space and it detracted from the overall experience. I would expect better from one of the finest restaurants in entire state given the price. Otherwise, excellent.

    The staff at BVI were exceptional- my husband and I got married here a year ago and this was our 1 year anniversary. Abby took such great care of us and our dinner, drinks and dessert were excellent.

    THERE WERE A COUPLE ITEMS THAT WERE ON THE MENU THAT ENDED UP BEING UNAVAILABLE, THEY WERE QUICK TO LET ME KNOW AND GAVE US AN OFF MENU ITEM FOR NO CHARGE. IT WAS MY WIFE AND MY ANNIVERSARY AND THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE THE EXPERIENCE AWESOME. THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT DINNER!
