Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside.     Hands down the best meal we have ever had! Food was truly incredible from French onion soup to the entrees. The whole experience was so enjoyable! Next time we are in SB, we will be back!

    By far one of the best fine dining experiences in Santa Barbara! The atmosphere is warm and friendly; the staff and service is personable, extremely knowledgeable and welcoming; the food and wine selection is outstanding.

    I’m a Brit who arrived via NYC, SF, & Carmel. Thus far dining experiences (exception Carmel) had been characterised by average food, poor service and eye watering charges. These guys restored my faith in human nature. The staff were excellent. Lovely people who enjoyed their jobs whilst delivering terrific service. The food was off the Richter scale. I had the medley of 3 fishes to start followed by the Duck which was cooked to perfection. Both dishes were absolutely fabulous. In terms of ambience, this is clearly a favourite with locals who love good food and has a great vibe. I dined alone and was made most welcome. Although not cheap, I think it represents great value. Bravo to Boucheron

    Our reservation was at 6 on Friday night. Seating: tables are fairly close to each other. Our table was situated in a narrow, I’ll call it a hallway for lack of a better term. There were two rows of tables for two, one on each side. The space between was about a table width. The couples around us were relatively quiet so noise wasn’t an issue. But, if you like space between you and other diners, keep that in mind. They also offer outdoor options. A tent near the street (Covid leftovers) and a proper outdoor structure that was likely always there. All have heaters for the cold weather. Ambiance: This is a nice room. Elegant but not overly fancy. Dress: casual but I’d dress up those jeans. Food: Appetizers: We had the scallops and they were fantastic Mains: They are known for their duck. I had the pacific white fish which was perfect! My wife ordered the duck. On this order she said it was pretty salty. I tried it and had to agree. Our server was at the table moments after we’d both tried our food to ask how everything was. The moment my wife paused and said it was really salty, he asked what she would like instead. “You have to love what you eat”. He whisked away the dish, put in the replacement order and it was there, perfectly prepared in short order. She ordered the same thing I’d gotten and loved it. Dessert: My wife ordered the crème brûlée and absolutely raved about it. I ordered the lemon cake and replaced the ice cream with lemon sorbet. It was perfect. Server: I wanted to save this for last so it would get buried by everything else. Morgan is the consummate professional. The level of attention to detail was constant and consistent no matter how busy it got or who was in his area. The lady that got seated next to us was most likely a food critic and she got no more or less attention than anyone else. Morgan’s recommendations were great across the board. The food was excellent but Morgan put it all over the top for us!

    The French onion soup was fabulous, highly recommend. Husband’s steak was great. Our waiter Dave was attentive and helpful. Sat outside under tent nice and warm and quiet. Great place!

    Everything was outstanding with our visit to Bouchon. From the service Dillon provided, to the beautiful presentation of the food along with the outstanding taste of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. If ever back in Santa Barbara, we will be back.

    Great service. Waiter connected with us right away. Had the trio scallops which were prepared different from the last time we were there. Equally impressive. Waiter offers great wine recommendations (2 different bottles). Dining semi outdoors but warm. Food was amazing ( wago and pork belly).

    Beautiful restaurant with great service and management. We had a small issue with food temperature on one item and the manager took the meal off the check no questions asked. Really nice people! Food looked and tasted great. Prices were reasonable for sure given it's SB.

    A great experience the service was amazing and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. We had the wagyu rib-eye and it was incredible, perfectly cooked and seasoned. A really good meal if you’re looking for something special

    The food was surprisingly mediocre. It had been a year or so since I last ate there and there is clearly a lack of attention to the menu. The service team was earnest but not very capable. We ordered three appetizers, they brought us share plates, but no serving spoons. We actually had to go to the service island and get our own spoons because our server was not to be found. One of the appetizers, the carrot dish was dismal, the carrots were under cooked and actually cold completely defeating the flavors of the dish. The lamb chops were very rare, almost bloody. And the desserts were not very good. It is unlikely that we would return.

    The best restaurant in Santa Barbara overall. The food is the best we've enjoyed in town and staff is knowledgeable about both the menu and the wines on offer. The wine prices are reasonable and the glasses generous. Bouchon is a pleasure.

    All our food was delicious. Filet was one of most flavorful I’ve had and reasonably priced. My co-diners had the salmon, pacific fish and raved about it. French onion soup and goat cheese tart lived up to their hype. Only thing missing is full bar - only serve beer and wine.
