   Our food was excellent, we started with a waiter who was very helpful in offering suggestions for my meal. We never saw him again until we were leaving. They have all assistant waiters who bring your food and check, we were never offered a second round of drinks. The food was excellent, everything was homemade and very fresh. We will definitely come back for the food.

   Our hotel recommended il Punto for dinner. Antonio, our waiter, took fantastic care of us. He provided us with excellent choices. We split the Insalata Gelato (yes, ice cream salad - it worked!), Il Timballo (their take on lasagna), and the pasta special with fresh pastas, mushrooms and cream sauce. The gelato was tossed into our salad which also had grilled shrimp. It was refreshing and tasty. The same went for the two entrees. We left full with smiles on our faces. Excellent recommendation if you are in the area.

   We traveled to NYC by train (Penn Station) for a show, and chose iL Punto because it is located only minutes from the station. The experience was outstanding from the moment we walked in until the time we left. Antonio was friendly, attentive and very helpful with menu suggestions. They have a full bar and the atmosphere is intimate and spotless. We enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert. The food was first rate and the service was stellar. I was having trouble deciding between two pasta dishes so Antonio offered to have the chef split my entree into a serving of each. The wine list is extensive and offers many affordable choices both by the glass and the bottle. Without exaggerating, iL Punto is our new favorite restaurant in New York. Looking forward to going back.

    If I could give more stars I would! It’s not always about the fanciest NY hot spot. This place was the spot where the host to the server to the busser were basically all on point throughout the entire experience. A real friendly and teamwork atmosphere. Wine and food suggestions on point! We really had an amazing time. 100% recommend. Go for the the Gelato salad app = unique and awesome!

    Meal and service were both very good! Noise level was excessive, even for NYC. Many plexiglass covid barriers were still in place and I think these exacerbate the noise issue. Too many hard surfaces! Rethink the barriers! Everyone else has dumped them already.

    Absolutely one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in NYC! The owner greets you immediately when you arrive and continues to visit you to make sure you are enjoying your meal. They recommend various entrees and apps. They make everything fresh including the desserts. We had amazing homemade pasta including Gluten Free options. Our apps, desserts and wine were also perfect! We stayed longer than we even expected just because we were enjoying our conversation with the owner so much! Can't wait to go back!

    Loved it! Staff went above and beyond to make our guests from Spain feel welcomed and comfortable by reading specials in both English and Spanish. We went with recommendations and were rewarded as everything was delicious! Thank you! (Especially our host and dancer)

    The whole evening was amazing from beginning to end. We felt like we were in Italy. The owner and entire staff were so welcoming and attentive. The gelato salad with shrimp was one of the best things I have ever tasted. This was a truly wonderful restaurant - worth the trip!!!!!

    This was our 4th time at Il Punto. The food was delicious as always, and the staff treated us as if we were in a 5 star restaurant. The owner is very friendly and spent time chatting with us and making sure that we were well served. One of our favorite Italian restaurants in the city!

    Antonio is absolutely amazing!!! We have been coming here for the last few years and enjoy everything about IL Punto from the atmosphere, the service, the amazing food and again Antonio’s care and concern for the food that is served and for his customers.     Great food near MSG. We had the calamari and the carpaccio apps - delicious. Caesar salad was very good. For main course I had the Veal Marsala and potatoes - excellent dish. Highly recommend

    Restaurant was full, which was a good indication, later confirmed by the delicious food. Portions could be a bit bigger for the price, but really good flavor anyways. Service was kind and prompt.
