   We had a lovely experience at Cafe Luxembourg. The staff was kind and friendly, the food was delicious. We sat outside in an enclosed space that was quiet. Great place to go before an event at the Lincoln Center, as it is just a leisurely 10 minute walk away.

   Sunday (pre-opera) brunch to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were given a wonderful table inside. Our waiter - who I am embarassed to say I did not make a note of his name, was AWESOME . He was likely the best waiter we have ever had in any restaurant. He made my sister's birthday special - so kind, generous and bringing the festive vibes. During previous visits the waitstaff has always been well above standards. I don't want to take away from any of them, but today was just beyond!

   We had the best experience last night! The food was outstanding, the service also outstanding, but we would have loved to have sat inside!! The noise was a little much at times outside. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again! The best steak frites I have ever had

   Have been enjoying this place for over 35 years. Great tasting Old Fashioned, and loved the fresh tortellini. Thank goodness I managed to save room for those delicious profiterôles. Excellent service to boot.

   We've eaten here many times in the past and this time the food slipped a bit. The change from mashed potatoes with the chicken was disappointing. Chicken was still great but sides were Blech. French fries seemed to have been twice fried--more like potato chips and had to be sent back.

    Simply perfect. The food is outstanding. Been going for years and never gets old. The best Niçoise salad in town!!! Add the chicken pillard and you have yourself the perfect lunch. Don’t forget the profiteroles for dessert. One of the best spots in the city for sure!

    The service was great but the steak was served cold. The fries were also cold. The steak also had a chemical taste. Very disappointing considering it's $48 for a steak that was a glorified minute steak

    I’ve eaten at Cafe Luxembourg for many years, but this was my first time since 2019, since I hadn’t been to New York during the pandemic. The outdoor dining was new but the food, service and ambience were as great as before, and my friend and I had a wonderful dinner. My only regret is that I can’t have another meal there before I leave town. I’ll be back!

    I always go to Café Luxenberg on my first night in Manhattan when I fly in from California. I feel so at home there!  Delicious food and great service. How could you go wrong?

    Love the food ambiance and service by the wait staff. The fact that they won’t let you sit before your whole party arrives just irks me. They’re not the only place that does it but there are plenty of places that don’t. I spent over $200 for lunch and I can’t sit at my table 10 minutes before my guest arrives? It’s self defeating because I would have ordered a glass of champagne which would have added to my bill so keep shooting your self in the foot. It’s simply not hospitable or good business.

We often seat early or incomplete parties, unless it depreciates service. We will make sure you are well taken care of in the Bar or Cocktail Lounge if you arrive early, where you can enjoy some Champagne and relax. Early /incomplete seating may impede what we consider good service- a timely greeting and attentive experience. If the same occurs in the future, please ask for a manager so we can rectify ASAP.

    Outdoor ambience is lovely. The service is always friendly and professional. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The forest mushrooms are a favorite as is the hot fudge not to mention steak frites, salmon and chicken.

    our reservation was for 3:30 (found on open table) and we were hoping for an early dinner and did not realize we could only order from the limited brunch menu. Nor were we informed that the kitchen was closing at 4pm. We discovered that as we were sipping our drinks and were told we had 15 minutes to order. However, in spite of those unexpected limitations, it was still a truly pleasant experience in the outdoor booth sheltered from the torrential rain, and we were not hurried away from our table.

    The hamburger was delicious as always, the fish and chips were not. Service was very polite, but I had to ask twice for my coke and three times for some ice.
