It's a favorite spot to have dinner. We love the menu, the drinks and the atmosphere. Overall, always enjoyable with great food and service. Heated towels to freshen up is a win! Don't forget to have the fragrant duck. Tasty all around!
Good food, promptly served, congenial wait staff. Forgot to use Passport Card!
Wild Ginger never disappoints. The food, service have always been excellent.
Also carte menu makes it difficult to order. Too expensive for quality of food, service and ambiance. Was I'll the next day.
Decent food, too loud, kinda corporate vibe. Nice they accommodated gf, v.
Love this restaurant! Ambience very good; cozy for our cool Pacific NW weather. Quite a few people there but it was not loud. Booths nice. The waiter was patient and did not hurry us.
The waiter was outstanding. The food was really good as usual.
Wild Ginger is one of my favorite restaurants. I took my daughter and her friend for dinner with a gift certificate. I love the menu as it has choices for everyone. My daughters friend is gluten free and I am vegan. Our food was wonderful. It was a super packed night and I am betting that they were short staffed. Our waitress was super nice, but not as attentive as I would have expected. But, I think she was just slammed. I definitely recommend though and will be back.
Disappointed. Went here before seeing a movie and made a reservation earlier in the day. Our table was right in the middle of the room. Potstickers were chewy and not overly tasty. Spring rolls had oil saturated into the middle. Two tops crammed into the middle. Not a great layout, we will not be returning.
Bring back the cashew chicken ;) otherwise yum!
We felt very rushed. The waitress wanted us out of there as quickly as possible (I suppose to turn over the table) and made us feel uncomfortably rushed. It was difficult to conduct a leisurely business conversation with a pushy wait person. She also forgot one dish and when we asked about it, she brought it much later... after all the other food was finished. We tried to cancel the dish but she wouldn’t let us.
Food was great and we always love Wild Ginger. This particular waitress wasn’t stellar, however.
Excellence in ambiance, food, selection, and pricing. I enjoy bringing clients to Wild Ginger as I can count on the quality and atmosphere conducive to conversation and business.
Good food. Found the scallops bland(usually they are quite flavorful). Steamed salmon was very good as was the duck.
The service was not great but an excellent meal
I’ve been going to the Wild Ginger in Seattle for over 20 years. Their unique Asian Fusion menu is something I’m always in the mood to enjoy and their service is amazing.
Now onto Bellevue Wild Ginger.
This restaurant experience was very disappointing in service and in food. We were eating early 5:30 so the dining room was 1/3 full at most. We waited forever to be sat with reservations. Once we ordered drinks they took over 15 min. The food was totally lacking in flavor compared to the same Seattle restaurant dishes with one exception the seven flavor beef saved the meal because it was as expected. The sea bass lettuce cups were totally different. Greasy fried tiny amount of sea bass with 90% Jicama. Pork Satay we didn’t eat after first bite. Pan fried piece of pork with NO seasoning/marinade and a blob of siracha on the side. Where was the paired specialty sauce and sticky rice? Expensive disappointment.
The food is great. Only complaint was it was so loud I could not hear my friends talk from across the table.
The 7 element soup remains a favorite, although it isn't on the menu, but they seem to be able to make it if requested. I am disappointed in the Siam lettuce cups. For $22, there should be more sea bass. May not order that anymore. Our server was great though.
First time at the new Bellevue location. Like the atmosphere. Still love the seven flavor beef and duck!! Glad it was still on the menu!
Their green papaya salad is as good if not better than the one at Green Leaf in Seattle. Excellent pad thai, Seven flavor beef is good but on the salty side. Really enjoyed their siam lettuce cup. Overall excellent food and fast service. Will definitely go back.
Meh! The reviews overstate the experience and food.
First time since they moved to their location. We loved it. I think they’re menu is smaller than it used to be, but if so, they’ve narrowed it down to the best dishes. Our meal was fabulous! I was pleased with the portion sizes. The environment seemed equally suited for an intimate date night, or for families. Service was on point. Nothing but praise!
Always a great experience.
The service was exceptional.
I have eaten at Wild Ginger since it began on Western Avenue many years ago. I won't say how many birthday lunches I have enjoyed there! The food is still tasty and unique. The green beans and the seven flavored beef are standouts, although I miss the vegetarian dish that was discontinued several years ago (can't remember the name of it). I like the Bellevue ambiance and look forward to trying South Lake Union.
We had a very nice meal at Wild Ginger in Bellevue. Food was very good, service also. The ambience was a little too dark and industrial. Otherwise fine.
The food is always wonderful at this restaurant. We must have had a brand new waiter because he had no sense as to how to care for the customer. AND, I had even written in advance that this was a client lunch. So the hostess was alerted to that fact and should have paid attention. We were ten feet from her station. She seemed oblivious to her customers.
Could have been better. Dined here several times prior. Seems BIG CITY has gotten better of them. Ordered entrees with sides. One side was not brought with meal and was told would be right out. Several minuets later manager stopped by to acknowledge they would be right out with “missing” item. Item finally arrived with no apology for fact meals were nearly consumed, and no credits extended. A generally feeling was “were busy, so what, stuff happens and hurry up cause there are more people where you came from”. Unlikely will return although previous experiences were pleasant.
I love eating at Wild Ginger. have enjoyed their food since they were down below the Market in Seattle, many, many years ago.
We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Wild Ginger. The food is always amazing. We had the peppered scallops, sea-bass, lamb, beans & malaysian chow fun noodles, all was delicious. Our waitress was Aubrey and she is the best! Very friendly and made our dinner extra special!!
The food is great and the rojak never disappoints as always.
Recently changed locations to a much smaller and less attractive (physically and convenience wise) address.
I started coming in 1988 when it was down below Pike Mkt.
But... the new place in Bellevue just doesn’t have the charm.
The service and food are exceptional. 5 star.
Would recommend unconditionally even though the location sucks!
Delicious food, amazing service, thank you for a delightful evening!!
Service left a lot to be desired. While we ordered everything at the same time and said it was ok to bring it out as it was ready, didn’t think the chicken satay app would be the LAST thing to come. Rarely saw waiter. I don’t believe that he asked if we wanted another round of cocktails. Food was great.
Excellent SE Asian foods. As one who lived in Jakarta and Singapore I appreciate the authenticity and seasoning. My only complaint is that they removed Laksa from the menu. Bad call, Wild Ginger. Your Laksa was stellar.
Portions were much smaller than previous meals there, and the Pad Thai noodles were not authentic Pad Thai noodles. However, the service was very good and their cocktails were amazing! Try the Asian Pear - to die for!
Had the papaya salad and potstickers as appetizers, shared the 7 flavored beef, chicken phad thai, and spicy prawns as entrees for 4. We topped off the feast with mango and coconut sorbets, also shared. All were outstanding! The ginger martini warranted a second order. The staff was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. They have moved to a new location in Bellevue that doesn't have quite the same ambiance, but the food remains excellent. We didn't pay but the menu prices seemed reasonable (reason for the 'good' rating).
Our server was AMAZING. I think his name was Nathan. Food was very underwhelming. Spring rolls taste like donuts... noodle dish chicken was chewy and strange, tofu dish was good but nothing extraordinary. Service definitely made the night so much better! Very knowledgeable, kind, attentive and friendly.
The atmosphere was nice but a little on the loud side. Everything we ordered was delicious, however, the portions were very small compared to the price. Super-nice staff. Overall: Great food but at a high price.
The food was good. Service and and ambience good. Was disappointed that we could not order a Diet Coke because they only offer Jones soda which none of us wanted to drink. Please bring back coke products. Thanks!
