Oh my, what a lovely experience. Each tapas dish was as wonderful as the others. What a find, probably nicest meal I have had for some months and we’ve just spent the last 4 days eating out 3 times a day. Decor great, staff great, don’t miss out on this delight

First time going to the Basque kitchen after being recommended by family to go. Was not disappointed. Lovely staff, excellent food, tasty cocktails! Will be going again and would highly recommend. Book in advance as not a huge amount of seating!!

This is a seriously amazing restaurant! If you choose other restaurants over this you are making a mistake. This is a very authentic restaurant, I have been fortunate to eat to many restaurants across Spain (including many Michelin) and is up there with them. Every course was exemplary and the service was attentive. Even the house wine delicious. Please go out of your way to dine here! It will not disappoint.

Managed to get a last minute booking as a very popular restaurant. The food, cocktails and sangria were all top quality- we chose a range of small plates all of which were very good. The staff were welcoming and friendly and I would highly recommend - well worth booking ahead.

Unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to enjoy the food, there was one other party in there who were not ready to order food. We ordered our drinks and said we were ready to order food to which the waitress replied I’ve got to do their order first. We waited over 20 minutes for a drink this did not materialise so we left. Such a contrast to when we went in March we were their first ever sitting and it was amazing. Such a shame

A warm welcome and great food as always thank you to Michael and team. Nina was friendly polite and efficient. One of us had the ribs this time and said it was a delicious dish. Generous portion too. When we visit the IOW we always include a meal at Basque Kitchen as we were regulars when it was in Cowes. It’s our favourite. With all best wishes Ingrid and Derek

We had several plates of superb tapas at The Basque Kitchen. The food was above our expectation - well prepared and presented. Unfortunately we were the only customers in and so that detracted a little from the overall experience but the two female servers were friendly and chatted with us. Would recommend.

Great selection of tapas and further choices on the specials board. Service was outstanding and quick. Amazing selection of wines and some delicious, previously unheard of varieties from Spain. Really good atmosphere and lovely surroundings.
